Simply the best and they are still one of great "live" performers.

Thank you very much indeed for posting this concert set of 11 videos, many excellent tracks here! I see you posted them in 2007 and you graciously apologise for the quality of transfer, if you still have the videos, might it be possible to try again now and maybe get better image transfer with more recent technology?. That would be truly amazing and very much appreciated by Searchers fans everywhere!

Thanks so much for uploading this. They sounded GREAT!! I have those 2 albums and they are both outstanding. I remember back in the 60's, hearing Needles and Pins on the radio and went right out and bought their first album. Wish Mike Pender was still with Frank Allen and John McNally...instead of 2 separate groups.

I saw The Searchers in a little club in Philadelphia, PA, USA in back-to-back years around 1983 - 1984 and got to go backstage afterwards to chat with the boys both times. It was basically this same show that I saw! Though extremely knowledgeable on the British Invasion, I came to that party late, having not totally immersed myself in it until my college years, and after. I can't even describe what it was like to see these guys in a small venue, running through essentially all their hits, in their 'post-Tony and Chris' prime. Today, of course, I know pretty much every song in their illustrious catalog, from start-to-finish and their importance and place in the history of British Rock is wholly underestimated in most quarters. I do believe that Mike Pender represents the true sound of the classic Searchers and wish all surviving members of the original band would reunite for what would now be a 51st anniversary tour.

Fully agree, the Searchers were far better than the Beatles

Darmstadt, San Francisco, as Frank says. The latter is the name of the club, methinks.

Even though most fans regard the original Liverpool line up as the best this Sire period is equal if not better to me..Tony was great on the early stuff but I can't imagine him handling the later and Sire stuff..Billy was perfect also with all this material and through the late 60s/70s Cabaret years.....

Yoe are kidding youself, the fact that the beatles are worth a squillion dollars and the Searchers are still trying to make one tells who is king.
