That’s partially why I hate placements. I will go 8-2 on support have the best heal stats while also getting kills and my placement rank will go from gold 5 to gold 2.

I appreciate seeing the loses and the toxicity in this video. Lots of streamers hide it or cut it out and just show their best games. Makes me feel crazy when that’s not the experience.

I still think it's a little weird that Hanzo got the health nerf despite not fitting the criteria of "high mobility". They said "Hanzo has potential to kill enemies at long range like Widow" (Even though Widow is one of the best DPS right now in High MMR since she has better effective range, 300 dmg on headshot (60 more than Hanzo) so she can one-tap way more heroes than Hanzo, better mobility and escape, and is easier to land shots with simply because she's hitscan). Hanzo was already arguably the weakest dmg hero, and he requires way too much effort for such little payoff. Yet, they nerfed his health anyway (Hanzo having really bad mobility that's dependent on if he's near a wall that has a ledge). Being able to one-tap like 5 more heroes that have insane levels of movement that make landing a headshot on them incredibly difficult is cool and all (Widow can one-tap every hero in both the dmg and support role way more consistently than Hanzo can btw), but they nerfed him for a reason that really doesn't make any sense. Hanzo isn't all that good at long range anyway (Widow is), and Hanzo's effective range requires being in close to mid range. They indirectly buffed him in a FEW situations, but directly nerfed him in ALL situations. (It's very similar to the Dragonstrike "buff", which is mostly a nerf disguised as a buff) Why the hell would they net nerf one of the weakest heroes in the game? Why would should I even bother playing Hanzo when I can get much more pay off with a hero that is less mechanically demanding and can hit shots much more easier? Ashe is a hitscan too, and has both better effective range and a much faster firing rate, and yet she didn't get a health nerf. I really hope they revert Hanzo's HP nerf cuz he just doesn't need it. It just feels like Blizzard is nerfing Hanzo and giving him weaknesses to accommodate for strengths that Hanzo doesn't even have.

Hi i'm the flaming mercy, i came here to say that you are right.. it was my fault. I was having a bad day and i shouldn't lash out on people trying to have fun playing a game... i'm really sorry, and i feel on the spotlight now. I thank you, this embarrasement i feel will make me a better person next time.

I find it really, REALLY funny that the supposed "hanzo buff" ended up having more negative impact than positive. Widow and Genji have just been gifted 10x easier access to countering him while receiving ZERO drawback whatsoever. Still incapable of oneshotting genji when he dives, yet he can oneshot you with nanoblade (which can slash dash 225 targets), near-instant kill with a rightclick melee dash, or even just deflecting YOUR arrow back into YOUR head. Widow gets to stand even FURTHER away, since falloff now applies even less to the shot since you have less HP for the falloff to matter, and has to charge her shot even less to oneshot meaning she gets even more freedom to stand far enough to simply dodge any arrows coming her way. I am incredibly thankful for the hp reductions, and the defense matrix moving back down to 3s, but reducing hanzos health to "make up for his oneshot" while a character like junkrat still exists is insane. the increased arrow hitbox does NOT make up for losing his oneshot. Not even close. I would much rather get more value out of a harder shot to hit than to get less value out of an easier shot. Taking away skill ceiling and replacing it with a higher skill floor is about as far from balancing a sniper based character that I can think of. Hanzo's kit in its entirety relies on being able to hit shots, that is why he has always been a more niche character who non-hanzo players call "luck based." If the enemy hanzo feels like he's hitting heads every fight and is "just so lucky!" then hes probably just shooting at people who walk in straight lines or dont pay attention. (A large reason I say all of this is also due to the fact that sojourn received yet another buff this patch and the dps role as an entirety is feeling more and more stale within the state of 5v5.)

I think it is interesting that widow and Hanzo who are considered snipers have their health reduced and Ashe isn’t considered in the same category… she can snipe just as effectively as those two

The MM in this game has definitely gotten worse. Every single game I play is either my team rolling over the enemy or the opposite. I had 13 losses in a row like this the other day and the next day after 7 losses in a row I am still matched against the sane exact ppl that beat me the past three games. I don’t understand this logic. I took a 5 year break from this game and it only took 1 week after coming back to make me want to quit again.

This placement video was great, it's insightful, shows the good and the bad, excellent content. Would love an overview of season 12 as a video as you ride the wave of ranked ups and downs in a similar fashion. If anything it might showcase to the devs just how chaotic and weird ranked can be (which is bad).

The mercy was another streamer. Not saying who but I recognized the voice immediately. They should not have flammed the genji but 100% ulting in spawn is not ok. Turned team moral further down. However, that mercy game play was questionable at best from the few parts down (we all make mistakes tho). Mental is the mini game of overwatch (which I'm currently losing as a ball player)

Same. 3 wins and 7 losses in placement and got dropped from Plat 5 to Gold 3. Made it up a week later then dropped in Gold again. Made it up again to Plat 2 and now I'm trying to claw out of Plat 4 and 3.

ever since season 9 buffs + nerfs, as a masters hanzo player havent been able to enjoy this game at all, props to you being able to somewhat enjoy the game still lol

On the subject about tilting. Maybe im a bit more mature because of responsibilities, but if im get called something im not going to throw because i love winning and nothing shuts somebody else faster then proving them wrong. One of the best feelings!

I cannot believe I'm in an Arrge video because I'm the weird Gibraltar Sombra, I thought the name "Streamer" is just for attention, and... yeah... 😂 Watching that match was giving me serious deja vu until I remember the specific scenario at 6:33 and my frustration after missing. That was a few weeks or so ago, brains are so weird.

At this point I'm not too hyped about the mid-season patch because if even ashe, sojourn and sombra get nerfed or not I just know that hanzo aint gonna get his 1-shot back. They said there gonna get rid off 1-shots they got rid off hanzo 1-shot and called it a day like its a joke a sniper that cant 1-shot most of the roster (excluding tanks). like the devs are picking favorites they are scared to nerf characters that have a very significant player base they nerfed characters that dont need nerfs and they buff characters that dont need buffs like why is cass allowed to have soooo much damg reduction abillitys like u roll dmg reduction ult dmg reduction. and if anybody says that "hanzo is just braindead spam u get lucky headshots all the time thats he deserved to be nerfed". If youre saying that hes just get lucky headshots he is a braindead character you atre also braindead player like you know he is shooting arrows why cant you just move 2 feet from there. Like....... I dont know anymore.

i have 10hrs on hanzo and stopped playing him for 6 months. i came back to him when the buffs happened and it was crazy. i got a 4k with hanzo
