Tariq had a injured shoulder which was affecting his tackling which isn't his strongest suit. They benched him last year so they could rest his shoulder. I think it was slightly overblown from the public eye.
All I can say is that I hope you are right because he looked lost last year. If he was avoiding situations because of his shoulder that’s understandable but that must stop this year. He has to be able to tackle and compete at the point of catch without grabbing and committing penalties.
and with our new D coordinator he had play some of his weaknesses instead of his strengths like in yr 1 he played a lot of press man while last yr he was forced to play more off man which isn’t his strong suit
Riq Woolen had a sophomore slump. I believe his shoulder injury was part of the reason for his lackluster season and his bad tackling. He just wasn't 100% and it affected his tackling and his overall play. I believe he is going to make a comeback and have a really good year. He will play just as good or even better than his rookie season, imo. Our defense is looking so much better this year, and I am super jacked up to see how they perform with an all new coaching staff, and I think our free agent signings and rookies are going to have a major impact on the team! I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT!!! GO HAWKS!!!
That's why I haven't subscribed yet because you was disrespecting Mike McDonald....now that you apologized..I'm in ...😅😅😅😅..I feel we got two Byron Murphy's with the edition of Buddah Jones .
Murphy’s deadleg technique against 2 offensive linemen reminds me of one those jacked pittbulls giving 101% effort in a training video. Hopefully our team can learn his scheme quickly so we can be a double digit win team again. Overall great offseason to be Seahawk fan.
Def agree with Phresh. Riq was an average tackle on his nest days. Pete's D always needs corners who don't tip toe around making a tackle. Sherm might be the best tackler at the corner spot I have ever seen. I hoping Riq can turn into a good tackler but l don't know... im really hoping Tre Brown can stay healthy for like 15 games at least he is short but has TIP TOP big play ability. When was drafted in the 5th round Schneider said, and i shat you not, if Tre was 6'3" - 6'4" he woulda been a top 10 pick. I dont know about a top 10 pick and all that but It definitely speaks to how darn good he could be.
