Not the shitty leadership but just shooting the shit with the sgt’s. Just seeing the guys like it was a normal day back in the barracks. If I knew what I did now I wouldn’t have left. And maybe one of my friends might still have been here alive with family and his daughter Suicide hurts everyone man I’m still kinda struggling with it but my dog had been helping a lot!

I was never in but a really good friend of mine was 0311 and he struggles, he didn't lose a man under his command but has lost several to suicide or assisted suicide after getting state side. He keeps going with hope in Jesus and trying to make a better life for his family. It's in a different vein but you are doing something similar with your dogs, it does a person good to have something depending on you. I went through some crap that caused cPTSD and honestly taking care of plants and a hamster helped get me going again. I just needed something to rely on me. Just remember, you can fill a bucket with enough drops. Keep doing something, even if you fail to hit your goal but you made 1 percent progress that's still progress. My buddy gave me that pep talk when I was down.
