A lot of women keep their hair long because media pressure, family etc dictates that it looks better. This stops a lot of women from exploring what looks better on them or what would fit their lifestyle. Although my hair can grow long it has taken me 30 years to have the courage to cut mine in a tapered cut and accept that it is MY hair and suits me and my lifestyle. The cut shows of the beauty of my natural hair with all its curls and frizz and I love it. I probably will never grow it back to shoulder length again. Your hair looks so beautiful. It suits you so much. You have found the style that makes you, you.
Ria this is right on!!! Someone in my family was like, “you’re supposed to be growing your hair out.” I do this for myself. Who are you to tell me how to where my hair. The nerve..... I just no longer have the patience for twists outs. My hair needs to be short enough for ease but long enough to curl from products
Gawgeous!!! I remember when I got a tapered cut last year, and idk if it's just me, but I felt way more feminine w my cut that I do w more hair. Do you get that same feeling?
Vibrant, beautiful gorgeous smile . . . Girl if you don't go ahead and be America's next top model!!! Love the short hair on you as always. Be blessed my natural sista. Hugs and kisses from GA!!! 😘🌸
+Dee M. No, nappy was used/created by nonblack ppl to describe black ppl's hair as "ugly", "unprofessional", "unkempt", etc. And the way the guy used it, obviously wasn't in a positive light. And considering the fact she has kinky, coily, hair strands, why would he call it "curly", and why do you assume that it would've sounded "better" to me?
I thought he meant it in a way to say it looked tangled. Which is a common characteristic of black hair. I was just trying to figure out what was so triggering since a lot of black people have "nappy hair" and it's beautiful. Kinky/coily is like using the word "full figured" instead of saying fat. They both mean the same thing, one is just trying to be politically correct.
Jenn, your cuts are always so amazing! How do you select your barbers. They all have done a beautiful job at framing your cut to highlight your natural beauty. 💗💗💗
I thought watching black panther made me wsnt to cut my hair again. Now seeing this sexy cut i just emailed your vid to my hairdresser & making my appointment asap. Thanks
Beautiful Jen , just beautiful . Please don't make me cut my hair. It has been on my mind. I either want locs(sister), a cut like yours, or a new color for the fall winter months
Liked before I even watched the video!! Love it...I'm tempted to cut it again....but I'm on a grow back challenge...I've cut my hair consistently for the past 2-3 years...so I'm protective styling and keeping a consistent regimen to grow back to at last arm pit length.
Jenn Jackson I've never grown mine long..I did a take down of my Locs and I had length but then I cut it and kept cutting then I was diagnosed with a scalp issue...so now I want to try growing it out. But I love short hair lol
The cut really suits you I have scarring alopecia & my hair as shaved to a Number 2 today I am currently wearing wigs Stay Blessed & Gorgeous, From the sunny Northof England.🙏💖
