Sadly this "version" under calibration is not available in the "Lightroom" non-classic edition. So, while I use what you said and edit in Classic 99% of the time anyways, the actual profiles themselves are basically a shortcut if you don't want to change the processing version or are on the mobile / cloud application. There it's a true game changer! But good hint. I believe only few people play with that setting!

Thanks for the comment! Depending on what the profile does, I dont think you can recover the same details as with a linear profile for example, so highlights might be lost. That being said, you can still reocver a lot of things using adobe profiles!

Ich nutze die Profile auch nur sehr, sehr selten. Wenn, dann bei Bildern mit schwer zu lösenden Lichtverhältnissen (überbelichteten lichtern zum Beispiel). In den Fällen kann solch ein Profile das Foto tatsächlich retten!

The option to use a linear profile only shows up Lr and Camera Raw if: 1. You have installed the linear profile. You can check by reinstalling it again. You should get an error message that it's already installed. 2. For iPhone images, HEIC and Apple Pro Raw images cannot utilize linear profiles. Only DNG images, like those captured with the Lightroom Mobile app, work with linear profiles. 3. Your image is a RAW file. .Psd, .tif, and .jpg files will NOT be able to have a linear profile applied to them as they are NOT Raw files. In other words, the Camera Raw Filter and the Camera Raw app are NOT the same things. The Camera Raw app (or Lightroom) must be opening a RAW file in order to see a linear profile option. You will NOT see linear profile options when using the Camera Raw Filter. 4. The camera which took the RAW file must match a linear profile that is installed. You only see the linear profile that matches the camera that took the image. You will not see linear profiles for cameras that do NOT match the camera that produced the RAW file. 5. You can also try rebooting your computer. Some people have indicated this is necessary to have their linear profiles show up in Lr. 6. It's rare, but one person had to enable the "Profiles" option in his profiles list. To do that, go to your profile browser in ACR or Lr. Right-click on "Favorites" and choose "Manage Profiles" from the context menu. Then put a check mark in the "Profiles" box if it's not already checked.

@@TonyKuyper Thank you for your response. I take photos with Panasonic Lumix G9 and I have imported a preset made for this camera. I take only RAW photos and sometimes I use denoise which converts the format to .dng. The preset doesn't show up even when I have RAW opened. All the check boxes in "manage profiles" are checked 😐

Oh I have found it. I searched for it in presets, not in profiles 😊

Das Problem hatte ich auch, Ich hatte einfach das Profile beim durschauen übersehen. Es sollte bei den Kamera-Profilen ziehmlich weit unten auftauchen

I do have slow phases of Lightroom as well from time to time, especially with ai denoise :/

This is what people are failing to realize. Profiles get you started. Starting from linear is pretty pointless. It gives you no more "control" in the end...just takes longer.
