Hey everyone, I wanted to apologize for not interacting with your comments on the last 12 videos. They were being held for review without my knowledge. I honestly thought I had scared everyone away. Lol Thank you so much for commenting and supporting the channel.
I see this channel for the first time, don't know anything about you or what you do, but this was simply just nice to watch ! Loved the sight seeing and the bike rides, it brought some kind of a 'vacation vibe'. The info you give along the way is cool and nice to hear as well. I had a good time watching it !
Great video ! Makes me wonder the incalculable amount of money the huge northeast of Brazil'd make out of foreign tourism and retired expats if it become like...say, tiny Florida...
Wow, the 90s! I lived here the 90s also but in Rio and I don’t remember much but I can imagine it’s cheaper. Where do you live now? Are you from Brazil? 🇧🇷
@@BillyGringo yes, I'm Brazilian and japanese. I live in Japan since 95. RU-vid recommended me your videos I think because I'm watching too much Africans and Cubans and Russians migrating to Brazil 🤣
I’m from San Diego and Brazilian born, also. Lol My mom is from Paraíba, where the city of Joao pessoa is. It’s very nice there. I’m glad you liked the content. Thanks for the support. Tmj
The area is run down. But not intimidating, as long as I don’t get mugged badly I would be happy. Lol. Santa Catarina is the best place in Latin America.
Here a tip about the international ATM you might want to pass on. When it ask if you want to convert dollars to Reals say NO. Choose Reals that let your Bank convert it which depends on your Debit card the cost is smaller and like my bank pays me back the ATM fee.
Man. Love the videos. I lived in Fortaleza from 2002-2005. It was the best time of my life. Then I 😅met a girl from RJ, moved there. She screwed me over. Then I married her 18 years later, and the same damn thing happened. I’m a dual citizen, but definitely a gringo. I honestly prefer living in Florida nowadays. Brazil is a huge mess. You should honestly start hitting up picanha do Assis. Varjota / Meirelles. Literalmente a 3 min walk from where I was staying. Cheap caipirinhas. Also, picanha Davina is great. A little more expensive. Phenomenal food. Two blocks from where I stay. Fortaleza is the best place !
Thank you for the support, that’s cool that you lived in Fortaleza. My brother was living here around that time. Did you ever eat at the restaurant, positivamente? It is very true what you say about Brazil. I think I like the mess though, never a dull moment, and it’s getting better. I’ve been to those restaurants you mentioned they are very good. I’ll try to make a video there for sure if they’re still around. Thanks again for watching.
I prefer the longer videos, especially the ones of you walking down the Beira-Mar boardwalk , and the ones showing us all the nice neighborhoods close to the beach.
Yeah, it’s pretty cool. I wasn’t expecting that. It’s kinda been happening a lot lately. Lol Good to hear about the tickets costs 709 from Miami. I guess it all depends on the time of year. July peak season here, so prices are probably higher now.
If you want to lose weight, stay low carb, and eat meats and eggs, nothing more. Then replace your soda with flavored soda water. This is exactly what I did to lose 40 pounds. By the way, it was cool seeing the "crack pipe" again.😄
Thank you for the info and you’re very correct. It’s basically how I was able to drop 50 pounds but I must confess I’m addicted to food like many of us. I’m thinking about documenting my journey of dropping weight. What do you think? Would that be boring? Trying to think of a way I can make it informative like maybe showing my meals and the prices that I pay so people can compare the prices of healthy meals between Brazil and the US or wherever country they are from.
@@BillyGringo for me, when it comes to food, I eat as much meat and/or eggs to make me feel full, and I don't eat for at least 3-4 hours, before eating again. It can be hard to do when you love food, but getting that full feeling is key between meals. I think you could sprinkle in some diet videos. Make it like an experiment, just to see what happens during the first month of the meat and egg diet.
Meio-dia e meio da semana é normal estar desse jeito. A galera trabalha.
Obrigado!
Mind you, I’ve been here for 20 years. I know how things are. A lot of patience is needed to live here. Nevertheless, I love it.. I’m happy that you enjoyed the video and motivates me to keep on going. This is just the beginning. Soon, I will be exploring other parts of Brazil.
Nice! I'm happy to hear that. I remember you contacting me for a consultation but never heard back after I gave you my price. It's a small fee to pay to save a lot of time and headaches. Let me know if you're still interested!
Hey Billy! It was great meeting you today. I went back and checked my receipt and it was $1404 USD for my round trip flight on LATAM from Miami to Fortaleza.
Booked a round trip from Miami to Fortaleza with Gol for about 700 USD (late June/early July). Just need to book a bit in advance and you can get a better deal.
