This is adorable! 😍 My son was only a toddler when this was filmed. I love the way things used to be, and people were so much nicer then. Life was simpler. I was one of the last of the breed of stay at home moms. I love B.E., I'd watch anything she stars in. 🌟

Barbara Eden is an absolutely beautiful lady, and has such a wonderful personality. I just love these older movies from the 1980's...they are priceless, and so enjoyable to watch! 🫠❤️

Just so enjoyed this movie. One of the comments below mentioned that she was a stay at home Mom in the year the film was made. Me, too. Was also a stay at home Mom and life was so much nicer and simpler for sure. Just love you saying We were one of the last breed. So very true.

This was such a good movie! But why did he lie about his dog?!🤔 Never heard an eligible bachelor lying about his dog having worms! And I kept wondering when she was going to tell him about her half truths?!

Loved this. Kathy's optimism, clear thinking, good-heartedness, and gratefulness are so endearing. She is impressed by high society, but never judgmental or feels any shame in her hardworking soul. Her true heart is ready for true love and deserving of it too. Ms. Eden's performance makes perfect sense of Kathy and is easy to cheer on. Grant Sherwood is a 'know what he wants' man and a bit mysterious, only because of his cardboard cutout perfection. He's sort of empty in that Disney prince way. I felt uneasy most the time thinking some major flaw were to be revealed. Thankfully, that wasn't the case and Kathy's heart is in good hands. Grant and Kathy are intensely drawn together through desire. However, both are lying to each other and so they struggle to find true love---that is, to love in truth. Both have their secrets and fears, and hide them with lies and half-lies. Ultimately, afraid to step into the harsh light of truth and hope to still be thought of as lovely. Kathy, like a good princess, is torn between truth and her desire. She is patient and only embraces her desire after traversing the painful path of honesty. Reaching through the clouds of desire, they step into the harsh and bright light of truth. They take each other as they really are--piercing through, their eyes have adjusted to the light and they stand in clear sight--love glimmering upon their faces. Their passion has steadied, their fears have settled, and they say to each other "I love you." This culminates into a touching scene in the supermarket as the crowd watches on to the fireworks of harmonizing true love. I love the soundtrack too. This film will put you into a gentle TV-era coma bliss of idle hours after dinner in the 80s.💘

I have a cousin who is a grown woman with several children now. However, when she was just a young teenager she lifted the hood of her pickup truck 🛻 and it had overheated 🥵. When she lifted the hood the steam that came out burned her chest and side badly. Fortunately for her, her face must have been turned away from the steam and her face wasn’t burned.
