I like the fact that you put this discussion in the Ghanaian perspective. And it is true that women who virtually rely on men for everything are more prone to dumped or cheated. How can I provide everything for you, and prevent me from providing for another woman who is in the same situation like you. You may say that women give men, in a relationship, sex, but both of them benefit from it. if it is children, it is the absolute responsibility of the man to take care of them, but of course with a little support from the woman. But if there are no children, and you would like to rely on a man for everything, including saliva, its a hell no. Women are to be helpers, to enhance the life of men, so if clearly the woman is not adding any value to the man, and the man keeps depreciating in value, and we claim that this is what society accepts, then we really need the rebirth of this society thing.
Most women want a taste of everything money, love, attention, good sex, funny, bad guys ...... It's difficult to pin a woman with one thing only. So a man has to be well rounded. Love isn't respect to men, respect is what men require for another to live in their environment whereas love for men is admiration and catering to his needs. Now, just like how food and air are both important to humans, no human will enter into an airtight room just because there is food there. It is the same thing for men, we desire respect as basic requirement to share our space with you, it is not necessarily love to us, respect is our default operating system but we like food (love) too, unfortunately, food without air is not appealing.
