This conversation happens every time there's an exploit, and I'm always curious to see what happens in the end. In this case I don't see it causing a wipe, for a few reasons: - It's not a lot of money, nowhere near ones that have caused that in the past. Not even close. - It's multi-staged and time consuming. Not quick nor easy. - There is a 10 vehicle limit, so the Mules do despawn. Even then a single 890 far exceeds the level of asset detail of dozens of mules. - There is a 100 box limit, they start to despawn beyond that. Meanwhile I've had 400-500 maze boxes in a single ship during JumpTown. Also made a fuckton more money. We're testing an alpha, this is par for the course. Sometimes it leads to awesome emergent gameplay, like JumpTown or the SLAM wars, the former becoming a popular and reoccurring event.
I really feel like there needs to be less worry about stuff like this on CIGs end. Like everyone says, it's an alpha. Stuff like this is expected and really so inconsequential. Like what's the worst that'll happen, a few people will buy 890s with in game cash?
It may or may not have been Intended but I can tell you they wont let this extremely creative use of the feature stand. My bet is they shut this down relatively soon. Armor is one thing valuable cargo is another thing all together. Im gonna miss being able to keep armor sets with "insurance" was fun while it lasts.
What part of it's not a feature do you not understand? Only the star citizen community could be so desperate for content they purposely confuse a bug for a feature.
@@anthonyross5769 This "bug" is the best quality of life improvement they have added in quite a while. They need to go ahead and create "bugs" just like it for med bays, refrigerators, armor closets, and gun racks so ships can actually be "lived in".
The fix is simple yet nobody says it. Maybe CIG should hire me.. Armor and weapons should be insurable to your ship racks.. but only armor and weapons that can be bought in stores. No rare items. This keeps the functionality of weapons racks useful. But doesn't allow people to exploit rare goods. A good middle ground. Now everybody say this on spectrum so it happens.
@@jasonmaxwell9762 See I have to disagree minorly here. The main thing this feature needs to do is allow armor/weapons purchased for real money to be reacquired. Something that has been needed forever, and is keeping people from buying paid gear. Maybe split the difference and make the rare armor/weapons insurable, but make the insurance cost VERY high. Like 4x what the item is worth, or whatever price is needed to make people only do it if NEEDED.
I'll guarantee you because of this video and more we'll be popping up soon we will not be able to have Armor Insurance or weapon insurance anymore we can't have nice stuff because people do stuff like this at take everything away from us
@@kennethshores8547 I do hope they figure a way to remove the exploit but keep the insurance feature. I don't mind paying to replace the weapons in the racks, especially since it will allow me to use my subscriber gear without worrying about losing it due to a bug.
I have come to outposts and see like a ton of mules littered about. At the very least if you're going to do this just drive out past the armistice zone and detonate your mule so someone can salvage it. Or leave it unlocked and whatever.
yeah because people using exploits to do things faster want to slow it down to be polite *LOL* . the right way to test this is to take the mules into deep space not on any routes and yeet the mules into the abyss with tractor beam. also i think salvaging a mule would net you almost nothing. and they are always locked iirc. unless someone is in your party I THINK i could be wrong. but also this exploit currently renders some mules undriveable after getting out so really the only way to not make a mess is to do it in space
Damn they did it again...I like to have my gear insured, but this is insanely dumb xD . But that is how their database and its hierarchy works. It is equipped and will be retrieved.
Duping commodities for profit can definitely get you banned. It's taking advantage of a serious exploit. I wouldn't expect them to care about the armor as much because it's being used and not really just for profit. It's only valuable to other players and the value would decrease as the supply increases.
I think you just made a point then proceeded to disprove it. The point is that an exploit is exploit and armor duping can be exploited for money, I've seen it and done it (for science... and for 500k per duped gear item 😇).
@@jwonyoutube Player value isn't real value and when there is more armor player value drops. Drugs and other things have a constant value that is exploitable, currently.
Honestly the worst part of this one is the armistice. At least the SLAM one was totally outside it so it made fun gameplay. But they already did a partial hotfix for this.
Yo, is this you star walkin, a guy in a black 400i helped me offload in secret, and now I see someone in a black 400i posting my method on RU-vid…. Why would you want me make this public?
Does the rear end 1 scu crate duplicate also? Also 2 days at 141 Daymar I saw a big org event going on plenty of Mules going around and a Corsair overwatch. I landed C2 and pulled a Fury. Was this your event?
We tried the 1 SCU crates and it didn’t work. We also tried putting items in the 1/8 SCU containers and they didn’t work either which is good because that would have actually broken the game unlike this. Think Janalite in them lol. But no that wasn’t us we would never use a Corsair for PvP. This was already an open secret when I posted, the day after we tested this a bunch of people popped into discord to tell us about it.
I saw a comment about never using the Corsair for PVP. But I cant find it after I signed in to comment. Why would you never use the ship witb 8000+ alpha shield pen damage for PVP? Its the best assault ship in the game.
Because only applied DPS matters and in PvP you will have zero applied DPS with the corsair. Also the engines fall off instantly and then it will do nothing but spin.
@@Min--Min Only when the ship is not being used properly will it do zero damage. Most people using lasers or AD5s are using the wrong weapons for the Corsair. They should be using the deadbolts because of its high alpha damage + shield pen. You only need to apply DPS one time to a light fighter and they are pretty much destroyed even with their shields all the way up. The ship is not made for dog fighting of course. But you only need to hit them one time to win the fight. This matters. High Alpha damage is why the Ion was nerfed. The corsair has double the Ion at 8000 and it immediately applies damage because it goes right through the shield. If you catch a fighter off guard you can kill them before they even engage. Its also the best ship to incapacitate large ships quickly without completely destroying them.
@jasonmaxwell9762 your assumption is that you're going to catch a light fighter off guard- I just hopped in my corsair and I'm putting off an IR signature at 19700 and an EM signature at 21480 KM. I'm 100% sure if you DID manage to catch a light fighter off guard you'd obliterate them, but the chances of that happening are so much lower than the fighter recognizing that you're there and simply hitting you with one missile that can render your ship un-flyable in a combat context.
@@Avenged7xJunkieNo assumptions battle tested and confirmed. I have caught many off guard and killed them before they realized. Because not every fighter attacks on site especially with comms up. If they are not sure if your hostile or not. They are dead before they get a chance to realize. I have even killed lights in straight combat. It's not easy but one mistake is all it takes. One shot hits and they lose the fight. People don't understand how good the deadbolts 5s are. Mainly because you all just listen to everyone else about the meta. But the meta has changed quite a bit from the last time anyone made any good PVP videos. For example distortion is viable again yet no one is talking about it. You guys have a lot to learn. Also the Corsair has been fixed. It doesn't easily take damage anymore and spin out of control like it used to. This was actually listed in the patch notes if you read them.
@@Avenged7xJunkie in fact some guy the other day was ranting and raving how the fury is this untouchable fighter and I laughed at him. So he challenged me to get any ship. I killed him in A2 with 2 dead bolts. The fight was him shooting me for about 5 minutes straight until he got to comfortable.. Then bam! Hit him with one sneaky shot and the fury blew to pieces. You see you guys don't understand the penetration power of the deadbolts 5s. Basically light fighters are hard to hit yes. But they are fighting with no shields against the deadbolts. So it only takes one shot to mess them up and another to kill them. All of your assumptions come from the fact you are relying on your shields. Which are pretty much useless against deadbolts 5s.
No way they can remove the spawning or claiming feature. They will just make the first copy disappear when you claim. Or maybe only allow two "ships" in the world at a time. Meaning your ships not all.
They move around so the best way to make money with that is to just do a few VHRT/ERT in an area then move and repeat which will give you a baseline of like 500k/hr. Just finding a few high threats will put it up to like 1M/hr. So this barely pays more, zero chance of a wipe from this.
The illegal mission you can run at SPK that dispenses things from the evidence locker. Basically you take Cellin comms down, kill a bunch of guards to get the LT to spawn and kill them, loot the code off them, put it into a terminal and it will start dispensing random contraband.
Now they're going to fix the damn thing we can't have math stuff can we I like to wear nice armor build to get my armor back when I lose it now because of this I can Kiss It Goodbye
You can sell them at the scrapyards like Brio's Breaker Yard on Daymar, Devlin Scrap & Salvage on Euterpe, and Samson & Son's Salvage Center on Wala just like any other cargo. None have armistice and pirates will wait there to kill people and steal their cargo. So that will eat into profits too if those get hot like they were during the SLAM Wars.
@@billkranz8035 being an alpha doesn't magically mean people haven't invested time into it that could be wiped because of people exploiting the game like this.
Hi, unfortunately for those who didn't install via patch, it doesn't work anymore. But, can you please help me by telling me the name of the track you used? =D
They fixed already. Its bit concerning how they fix these easy money bugs so quickly and don't care to other game breaking bugs, or at least, take months or years to fix it.
@@simplyminipainting This duping and not an intended game feature. There's no quick fix for this without breaking something else so it's leads to the inevitable wipe sooner than expected.
@@frognutz0o because it will get patched now that everybody and their dog is abusing it to print money. I fully expect a blanket blacklist for all gun racks and shelves. I don't expect a wipe, but I do expect all of us getting bit in the ass for the actions of a few.
I think the only place you can get them is the illegal contraband mission at Security Post Kareah. You have to take down the comm array, kill a bunch of guards until the LT spawns, kill the LT and loot the code, put the code in the computer to start the dispenser, then get them off the station.
@@nmd68 The best fix would be keeping the ability to insure weapons and armor to ship racks. But only store bought items. No rares. This would keep the racks useful. And it wouldn't break the market.
It's the Meridian paint, metal finish, probably looks black due to the lighting. There is a Penubra paint though, black with gold trim, that looks pretty slick.
@@Min--Min What are you talking about? YOU said 2.7M PER HOUR yourself. For 3 people. Even if you could make more trips than just ONE - which would make it more than 2.7M PER HOUR - maybe you meant per trip (but there is no implication of that in any part of the video - the only implication is that person can make 900K PER HOUR - meaning 15K per minute - YOUR STATS, I'm reading this OFF YOU.) Anyway, You meant to tell me you can spawn 17 mules , load it all up and travel to sell at the next location ALL within 5min? - before traveling back to repeat the process? - within 5 min to make it 12 runs and hour? I would like you to TRY and record the full RUN then, as a proof that it is possible - we already know the result of that. Why not just be HONEST and ACCURATE with what you state in the first place? I'm sorry, but this is a mess at the very best...
@@Min--Min That is a really weak deflection, for all I know, also a projection, huh? Next time at least try to address to what has been said, else why to "respond" in the first place?
@Ivailo1988 not everyone got wiped thou, not everyone followed the instructions to ensure things didn't get wiped, so exploiting something doesn't make up for something not everyone had, cig in the past have restored ships, now your at a risk of getting wiped and not even getting those ships back. Congrats lol
No one is getting wiped for this. No one got wiped for playing the SLAM Wars where you could make about 10 times as much. This isn’t even more than you can make doing normal missions.
@Min--Min yes it is, clearly, as the amount of loot has been dropped so finding that many hides inside an hour isn't possible, and accounts did get wiped if found to be exploiting, they can and will target those peeps, seen it happen!
@@SamCitizenMarkleyI meant the amount of money you can make. Max is like 1M per hour which you can make doing PvE bounties and beacons. Yes you can spawn 162K of goods every minute but logistics seriously reduce that to about the same as normal stuff in game. Was interesting to test and see that tbh.
