Joyboy is oars 1, the orginal continent puller. Joyboys crew was captured and he was forced to comply to save them. Thus being the reason the giant robot apologized, for being captured. He destroyed pangea and began continent pulling and on the way with the help of lily he started a master plan strategically by moving certian islands to specific locations and creating allies with certain countries and leaving ponyglyphs with lily. Thats why the gorosie were so mad specifically at lily. At the end of his journey i think he chose to die at wano and told toki about his plan and asked her to time travel. I think the onigashima skull is oars 1 and kaido unknowingly chose that as his homebase, i think that would fitting for someone who wanted to become joyboy. I also think the buccaneers are babies made from oars and lily, a mix human breed. I think that would be fitting for kuma for being such a kind hearted person willing to take on peoples pain just like joyboy did for his crew in hopes the government would keep their word if he helped with the continent pulling
What a good video, never even connected the many signs of death and rebirth connecting to yokais, had no clue about kaido boy. Some genuine nuggets in this video bro.
Imu's power prolly "Umibozu" (Imu - Umi -> Sea god). It is a giant humanoid "black" figure of a yōkai from Japanese folklore.. it has arms that are long and powerful, as he is able to send an enemy of his own size flying with a swing, or crush them with a hammer like blow If you see Imu's transformation he/she has long arms and black figure. And imu prolly immune to sea..
I think each yokai is a hint to Imu's powers. In particular the itsumade feeding off of tormented souls seems most relevant. Then there's the Gyuki and it's ties to curse-like illness. Saphire scales. Then we have the Fengxi who specifically ravages the countryside. That sounds like brigand behavior. Picking weak targets. You know, like Baroque Works. Then theres the wierdos. Bakotsu is just a tragic horse. Lol. Really that's all it is. This makes me think Imu might be a tragic character. And that perhaps Nasjuro and Imu are out of the loop so to speak. True believers in a gospel written by decievers. Why do I say this? Bones. Brook is the one Straw Hat without sin. His bones are clean of earthly flesh and thus he is free of earthly desire. Nasjuro is bones. Nasjuro is also the only Gorosei who wears white. And black is the color of betrayal. (Goldenweek color trap) And finally, the most interesting of them all. Ju Peter. Definitely a layered reference. The sand worm from dune produces a valuable performance enhancing substance. Wapol who SAW IMU, produces a valuable substance with his body. So this makes me think the treasure is Imu's body, and it's unique ability to produce something valuable, perhaps even something performance enhancing. Another layer to Ju Peter is indicated by his immediate attack on Luffy. He ate the sun, and was cut open by a move called child of sawing sun. This is almost certainly a reference to Apophis. An egyptian serpent, or in other words a "sand wyrm", who tries to prevent the sun (Ra) from rising by devouring him. Apophis in one popular depiction is portrayed with his head being cut off by a cat that is said to embody the spirit of Ra. The depiction implies a "sawing" motion. Apophis is also an asteroid that threatens earth. It's astrological symbol bearing the "tail" of Imu. This again brings out attention to space. Imu could be an alien with unique biology that is being exploited by the four Gorosei in Black. He was fed lies by the 4 about the events of the ancient war, in the same way Lili was likely deceived. I believe this substance is created with the energy radiated by souls. And it reflects the nature of those souls. So when absorbing the energy of tortured souls the effects become more oriented towards disease, death, decay. All the bad stuff. But when used to absorb the enegy radiated by contented souls it changes nature. Healing, beauty, love. The substance is called Binks' Brew. A holistic and consumable green blood, created by the alien, Binks. Binks was tricked by the Gorosei and believes his immortality is a curse placed on him by Joyboy, and that Joyboy was a demon that he must prevent the return of. When in reality, it was the 4 black clad Gorosei who had the immortality surgery performed on Imu while he slept, so that they could exploit his biology forever. They lied about Joyboy to the 20 kingdoms, and prevented Lili from informing Imu of what she read on the Poneglyphs. That the Gorosei had caused the war and manipulated the facts to serve their agenda.
No, it is not a sand worm from dune its a sand wyrm meaning it's taking from the area of dragons and the Mongolian desert worm which is its own creature Mongolia having its own ties to India and Asia itself
4 minutes in, you're actually cooking with the Demonio Fleur. I totally agree that Demonio Fleur is suppose to be symbolic of what the Devil powers truly are in Devil fruits.
nice vid! rly like the demon robin yokai comp and looking back now the demons eyes and the goroseis eyes look mad similar 👀maybe another connection. the dragon yokai connection would have some insane ramifications too, very well done! based on what weve seen so far do you think these trauma fueled yokai awakenings are rooted in devil fruits and their influence on the ppl that eat them or something else ?
I am an ICU and Trauma Nurse. My wife is a Cardiac ICU nurse. She's kind of royalty in our profession and I'm known for doing the "dirty work" side of medicine. We are on episode 1002 of the anime and we are both certain that even with anime levels of stamina and durability the Straw Hats have left bodies everywhere!!! Especially Demon Child Robin. He attacks ruptures spines from the neck down so if she isn't killing them she is leaving them a cripple. Not really an improvement.
Bit random, but I have something coming up with some medial professionals regarding One piece. If you can, jump in the discord linked above and drop me a message..would love to ask some questions 🙏🙏🙏
The Sand Wyrm could be based on the Mongolian Death Worm which is popular in Japan and not a yokai but something they call an UMA similar unidentified creatures
Honestly I think shanks or figarland also have one of those yokai….and Blackbeard has one too that’s why he said it’s not yet time to fight him as that will definitely be ancient knowledge.
I wonder if the yaobikuni (referenced at the end of the video) was the inspiration for the snail people in the bloodborne dlc. Sounds crazy similar. Sorry for unrelated comment, this just popped in my head.
My theory is that imu has the llorona or 'crying lady' Mexican monster if not that the the yuki onna yokai she is vivi's ancestor who is keeping her youthful appearance, but I honestly think someone had the immortality surgery stole vivi's ancestors body and is keeping that body youthful by feeding on the will of D's energy
I'm like 5 minutes into this but I gotta get my girl and I wanted to say damn I miss our boi from worst generation or best generation channel. German dude I believe. Straight 🔥 and I think you were in the live streams. I might be mistaken but I believe that's how I came across your channel. Anywho rip that channel. I wish he'd come back and keep cooking that library of ohara lame 😂😂😂 cant wait to finish this - loving it 🎉🎉🎉
Hard disagree on Robin, becoming a “true Yokai“ it seems more like the message being conveyed is that Robin found a way to accept or come to terms with the fact that she’s been treated like a demon all her life, even though she knows of herself that it’s not true similar to chopper, she has come to terms with the fact that people will see her as a demon simply for being who she is. so, even though it’s not her true self, she has learned to embrace her trauma
Oh cool thought, but we'll probably never see it; zoro, if eating a devil fruit, would already have it awakened cause hes already faced death and managed not to leave the earthly realm
Jesus as the SUN of God doesn’t exactly work for the metaphor because the Bible was written in Greek which has no such homonyms of “son” and “sun” so the sun metaphor in Jesus’ resurrection is not there. Edit: Genesis 1:14 also makes no reference to the Son. I’m unsure why you added that meaning. “And God said, ‘Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years” PS Jesus loves you personally and if you seek Him, He is waiting with open arms!
I think Imus Yokai is the Nero-Onna. It translates to "wet woman" and It's a snake body with a woman head. There's just too many connections. We know there's a mystery emperoress between Boa and Shaki that "died" from the love sickness. To me, it seems like the emperoress is either Luffys mom and/or the body Imu currently piloting. The world kinda parallels Skypiea with the Shandians worshipping a false snake god. And the Jörmungandr is a giant red snake that wraps around the earth. Imu is definitely snake related
