STOPPPP this deck is BEAUTIFUL!!! The art is everything 😭 I agree, I’m disappointed there’s not any diversity within the characters but it’s beautifully designed.
🌿🍁🪷🫚 I'm impressed they have managed to put in parts that seen in decks dedicated to just the section of this deck like witches (most of them), plants (the saint johns wort are rarely included in herb decks I have seen at least not under that name), objects (most of them). And it doesn't feel forced or jumbled it is a cohesive deck with a red thread throughout the deck. And even the busier cards don't overwhelm me. It feels a bit like one of those magic bags bigger on the inside, because it feels like so much in this deck that in some ways it's several decks in one. At the same time it is one whole deck. Nothing out of place. And I really like the darker background, the art style.
This deck is stunning. I also like the deck it’s not oversized like many oracle decks. I think the Altar card is my favorite so far. Thanks for the walkthrough!!
🌿 Yes, watched until the end! I appreciate seeing some diversity in race, ethnicity, and gender, as well, in these decks, too. My favorite cards are the Quietness one with the black cat and the Garden card. I found the author and illustrator's book in the Spanish language section of my library. It's called Wicca Botanica, and it was published as Backyard Witchcraft in English. I absolutely love the art and the limited color palette. I will keep it on my wishlist, but I remember that many of these plants are in the Druid Plant Oracle deck, which I have already. Thanks for this review, and I like your steady pace at turning each card, which is not too fast or too slow. 💚🧡💜🖤
Thank you so much for this walkthrough, Natasha! I love this deck, I’m always looking for more green witch/herbal magic type decks 🌿✨ Amazon Canada doesn’t carry this deck, which is the case with some US Game Systems decks (don’t know why), so I’ll have to get it from another source, and that means it will cost me more. That’s the only disappointing thing about this deck. Otherwise, I love everything about it 🪴💖
🍀 At first I didn't think I'd like this deck because of the more Wiccan tones (not a path that speaks to me). I really love all the different plants and other items in it however. Do you think it's over the top like the Witches Oracle (or any of Flavia Kate Peters and Barbara Meiklejohn-Free decks for that matter)? So much of this deck speaks to me, I just don't want to be disappointed if I purchase it. Thanks Natasha! ❤
This deck is so pretty! Video idea and a question: what decks would you recommend for kids interested in getting into tarot? There are a few that seem really kid friendly like Affirmators or Good Karma, but I don’t know about how accessible the writing in tarot guide books would be for kids. If you have any suggestions I’d love to know! This Green Witch Oracle seems pretty kid friendly too.
Hello there. Your camera seems really powerful. Great image clarity, great focus and sharpness. Have you written / said elsewhere what model you use ? 🙏
@@WickedMoonlight1 Oh wow. The camera is really excellent then. oO (I guess this is for your most recent videos? The one on the green witch oracle (I think) was impressively pristine).
Pretty sad that so, so many oracle decks feature only female read people. This kind of makes it an immediate out for me. I mostly read for gender queer folks and pretty much all of them hated the decks that are very one-sided when it comes to gender presentation. I know it's mostly just a market/profitability thing, cause that is what sells well, and it's a gorgeous deck, but defenitely not for me/us.
There are so many decks with diversity, why has to be every deck divers? I am half african and I don't care.. I think it is a trend to be fanatic of diversity, think it is a form of racism , too - there is no matter to talk about, we are all diffrent and there is no cause to hype it. Everyone can calm down a little bit and enjoy things as they are or ignore them. The new attitude towards others comes now. My daughter shouldnt now the meaning of diversity because everyone is equal and of the same worth. Men, women, third sex, black, white, queer or sis. Nothing matters, we accept and love euch other, without definitions and frames we have to fit in. If someone loves only africans it is okay and if one loves every culture it is okay and if someone loves only "white" americans and europeans it is okay too. Hope so. ❤
@myriamhuntjens5149 That's great, that , that's your experience, but I think you are purposely missing my point. Maybe you're hung up on my use of the word diversity and believe I only mean black or white instead of what I actually mean when I say DIVERSITY - age, sex, orientation, body types, race, etc. You don't often see that kind of diversity on mainstream decks. You oftentimes have to search far and wide and/or pay big bucks for that. P.s. I like that my comment was what you chose to focus on for someone who states that people are "diversity crazy".
While I really like the art style of this deck, I will agree with you on the diversity piece: As a male witch who is also a person of color, I find very little representation in witch-themed decks. It would have been nice to see some males (of any type) in the deck, as I'm sure there are male green witches, male kitchen witches, and male hedge witches out there.
I'm actually glad with this artstyle there is no forced diversity. Love this style of drawing, and sometimes diversity feels like it's done to fit into the market while it doesn't fit the style. So for this case I'm a fan. 🌹🍃
@cynthixc yes I'm aware of that. Still doesn't mean it has to be forced into every deck when it simply doesn't fit the art just for the sake of having the diversity label for better sales. I'm not against it at all but sometimes it's just about art style. Imagine a full gothic deck and suddenly it has fluffy cute teddy bears in it, it just wouldn't fit. That's all I mean.
