Allegedly Prince Philip made it clear she was not welcome at his funeral in his final wishes and the Queen said she was glad MM wasn't attending. I laughed when she claimed to have had a close bond with him when there aren't any photos that show any interactions between them, at least that I have seen. In the BP video montage they released to honour him, there was not one single image of MM - not even at her own wedding. It showed the Queen and Philip arriving in their car but that was it.

I don't know if I believe that Princess Anne acted on her own, I don't think she had the power to negotiate such an important "deal", I believe that that was ONLY the Queen's prerogative. King Charles DIDN'T give the children titles. That was King George V. He made it automatic that grandchildren of the male line Monarch. Automatically become Prince and Princess. So they were prince and princess the instant Charles become King. The palace ignored it untill Meghan announced it along with the christening. Then they just updated the royal website without any formal announcement. Charles has not given them HRH status so the prince and princess are little more than new first names.

My understanding is that the BRF have very good intelligence people, and everything is investigated thoroughly. They would have checked where "Archie" was apparently delivered, and whether or not he exists. This goes back at least to 1917 & the Letters Patient of George V. What was offered (on marriage ) was a peerage to the husband of the person marry the princess in question. Princess Margaret’s husband accepted a title but Princess Anne’s did not. This may have been more PA”s decision but HRH (prince & princess titles) weren’t available. This may seem unfair today but it’s how the rules currently stand , Also any titles would have been the the decision of the (late) Queen personally as monarch no one else,
