Fiji dollars are so colorful, nice to see they added the rugby sevens team which earned the country their first Olympic medal and the cool medal feature in the dark
@@kristoffer816 Or just a house spider, that look very similar and are even more common but are much smaller (the giant in the name of the other one gives that away).
The only way to see it is to have it marked with that red overlay, then maybe you can find the same outline again. A clear case of people wanting to see things to complain about.
There is also a goose on the back of the US dollar bill on the bottom left by the number 1- right next to the letter E in “ONE”. That’s the hidden object I always remember being told about.
On the new Australian $50 note in the micro printing they spelt responsibility wrong, spelling it “responsibilty” however the Reserve Bank said they will not issue a recall but print it correctly in the next batch
4:34 "You can clearly see" as in not clearly at all. For the life of me I can not see the devil in that picture. XD Anyways awesome video as always. Your bonnist and numismatics series are soo awesome. I love them.
i've known about the spider. Someone once told me that there was also an owl on the one dollar bill too, but disappointingly it is just another interpretation of the spider next to the one. That explains why I could never find the dang owl.
Yeah, I thought it was a spider until I saw everyone saying it's actually an owl. And a few have a picture of it magnified. It really does look like an owl and not a spider. And like he said in this video, it's just an urban legend about those being spider webs. They just put a bunch of things weird designs on it and our minds, are designed to find shapes and faces in things apparently. So we will see objects and designs, and think we see a face in it. Like pareidoila.
Chris, you're really an incredible filmmaker and storyteller. So happy to have found your channel. Keep up the amazing work. Really hope to see your channel continue to grow
As a banknote collector myself with around 200 banknotes collected, I am very grateful to have someone like Chris make videos about banknotes and their security features. Also by the way Chris have you ever thought of purchasing protective sleeves to prevent damage to your banknotes? :)
The Fiji bank note really put a smile on my face. Idk why but upon seeing the medal appear under UV light I was so amazed by it 🤣 maybe cause i totally didn't expect it but yeah my day just got better just thinking about medals on bank notes. Thanks for sharing :)
Chris, We love your channel just the way it is. Please don't change. We don't want to see another good channel fall into the dreaded "I work for clicks" category. I know you are true to yourself & do this as a passion. ButIf this channel has any magic, it's because of you and your love for what you do. Please don't change that. We thank you for all of your creations.
Hey! Is this because of the title / typical red arrow in the thumbnail? The titles / thumbnails might occasionally be like this, but I promise they'll always be the same high-quality and handmade videos :)
The children's story of gps chips being present inside the Indian 500 and 2000 rupee notes was so popular that it even got covered by all giant media houses
I was told that, not only will the higher quality colour copiers cancel the copy attempt of secure currency, they log it and report to Treasury or Interpol as long as they have internet access. There are also some tricks with folding certain notes to reveal secret new images but I can't recall exactly which. I hope you do more like this. It's fascinating.
Yes! I went into my garage with a plastic box to try and find a big spider, and it was.... interesting to film. He got lost at one point and I started freaking out, but found him a few minutes later on the wall a metre away. He took a few attempts to walk in the right direction but was then gladly returned to his home :)
@@HalfAsleepChris I used to kill spiders, or ask my parents to remove them. Now I use a plastic cup, and slip a paper towel between the spider and cup, letting the creatures outside.
Thanks! Found a big scary spider in my garage, caught it in a plastic box, then put it on my desk a load of times until it walked in the right direction :) He was then safely returned to his home :)
I've seen this owl pointed out before. "The Secret Owl Society" has been on buildings, in Disney Movies, almost everywhere. They meet each year at Bohemian Grove, north of San Francisco. It's a group of rich and powerful men that get together, and some say even substitute the Owl for the statue that is treated as Mollock. I don't want to say any more about this.
That's because why would they talk about Hungary when there is Romania 🙃. I'm kidding. I was just bringing the Romanian - Hungarian rivalry...Btw Romania deserves Transylvania. Sorry...
Keep it up Chris! Your videos are fresh and interesting. Don't let the sponsors and the needlessly elongated 15 minute videos with 3 miuntes worth of content ruin you!!
Thanks a lot! Any sponsors will be occasional and ones I use myself and truly love, and I really hate long videos full of filler so that will never be an issue! :)
2:44 Me : AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
When I was growing up we always said that it was an owl on the 1$ bill and I never saw a spider until now when you mentioned the fact that it looks like there are webs on the bill
i have one, on romanian dollars ( we call them lei) the ones of 50 and further have holes that if you hold it normaly at a light, you can see it, and it is pretty cool for it to not be replicated.
Its hardly a secret, I suppose, but more like a thing that captured my attention as a little kid. On the US $5 bill, on the back, the names of all the US states are written in teeny tiny print along the top edge of the Lincoln Memorial building. I spent hours with a magnifying glass reading all of them.
A 1999 1 euro coin with a tree on it, it has a bee on it at the top corner and if the bee is facing left it cost 750 euros, if the bee is facing right it could cost 400000 euros.
“The hidden donut” Akaza: HA HA YES, MY PLAN WORKED! NOW RENGOKU WILL BE IN A DOLLAR BILL THING! Douma: wait you actually don’t hate rengoku- Akaza: shut up douma, when did you come here? Douma: you were screaming..
I recall this from the 2d Grade playground at Sunnyside. I was paid paper dollars for mowing lawns by my Grandparents. I was in the cash economy before I busted double numbers, but lived in the country, far from stores. My grade school was near enough to "Jiffy Food Store", a gas station. Left Sunnyside after 4th grade, Mom remarried...
In sweden in not sure if we still have it but on the 20 kronor aka 2 dollar bill there was a author named Astrid Lindgren and if you looked closely you could see two pages of her book, I used to read it over and over :)
Maybe you have already but if not you should do a video on anti counterfeit methods used on gold and silver bullion like the Austrian Kinebar Holograms and the Sunshine Mint Logo that can only be seen with a decoder card. Great vids!
You can get special markers in the U.S. That let you tell the difference between real and counterfeit currency. If you swipe it on a real bill it turns that part of the bill yellow. If you swipe it across paper it turns the paper a dull color. If you take a $20 bill and look at it under a magnifying glass the little border is actually the word twenty written over and over again. All found counterfeits are sent to the secret service. Usually $20 are the bill that's counterfeit the most. And most are made around Christmas. (Worked retail. You learn a lot of things.)
also if u tear a tiny slpit in us money(20 & larger only)...its like right where the number 20 is located & only on one end of the bill,..then u can thread out a clear piece of untearable plastic that says over & over from top to bottom,..usa20usa20usa20 or usa50usa50usa50 usa100 usa100,..these were issued bk in the 90s so not sure if any are left now adays,...but im sure if so they are very rare!
Ew the real spider terrified me 😳. I never even realised it looked like a spider web. That definitely looks like a little spider. American dollars are so strange
