Being a halo guy, for years I've never really figured out apex game sense and the correct way to approach fights. The play by play breakdowns really help. All the small details. I never kept my gun down before because I just wanted to be ready to shoot at all times.
The Faide slide is slightly different though. He uses crouch to skip the 1 step mechanic. His crouch enables him to instantly slide as the slide jump macro timing is 150ms and the uncrouch animation is 120ms. If you start your slide in crouch, you can therefore skip the step.
I’ve been subconsciously doing this for a while now in most gun fights this is probably one of the reasons I’m still losing some gun fights that I feel like I just shouldn’t have lost. Good to know this now tho and start implementing it in every gun fight.
7:25 omg I never knew that! I used to always wonder why when getting shot and taking the usual steps to slide I always deadslid. Now knowing that if I'm close to cover just simply holstering my weapon can cut that time to slide into cover down 66% is amazing 👏
This was a very informative video, been a day one player and usually hit plat at least every season. I never knew this will be practicing it later ! would love to see a video like this about wall bouncing
Great guide! I learned this from your first video of coaching that I watched and have been using it the best I can in my games and have been getting a lot better
Watched a few of your training the other day. Went in to control and test this same movement out. Safe to say it works. I can’t tap straf since I’m on console but the little movements I can do makes it better
OH MY... glass shattered. When watching my replays I'm slow, and dead slide too consistently, when trying to close the distance. This is going to impact my gameplay so much. I gotta go practice this ish right now
interesting concept, ill have to give it a try -- also good effort on the use of the world parabola (you were looking for the word zenith, meaning the peak of the parabola, or curve, that you had imagined)
only youtube channel that gives different and useful tips .keep up the good work hopefully we can see an aim guide that packed full of good stuff like this
Do you play claw? Just wondering because you use Y to crouch and Right stick to holster weapon but thank you for the videos I’ve been seeing improvement on my gameplay bc of you. Ty King keep up the work.
I found almost every single video helpful. I'm trying to be the best, I will be scheduling for sessions soon. I'm silver 3 rn but I play like I'm Plat or diamond. I just need to learn better movements and wen not to push. I look forward to getting lessons from you. Thank you for all your hard work.
had to slow this down to absorb it (ADHD lol) cause I watched it over and over and kept missing stuff but once I got it I was able to do it consistently thanks so much for this!!! always wondered how ppl did this but never saw anyone talk about it
sorta, dont just jump around a corner because you get locked into a very easy to track motion, jump in a fight if you are face to face and need to add movement in an area where you cant do other things like wall jump ect
To my knowledge there is no way to map it to a press rather than a hold, unless maybe steam config a button to the correct M&K key? I may have to try that.
Ive played close to 7k games of apex and i never knew this tech. I have been fried by people off slides and wondered why they were so much faster than me but you have succinctly broken down what the elite do. You are a goat.
Bro this put movement into perspective for me. I've been plateaued in movement for a while. Thanks for the game breaking info brotha. Much love for the content.
Nice one, dude. It might actually be one thing I'm doing wrong to this day. I always have my weapon equipped when facing an opponent instead of pulling it out as late as possible. I will have to work on that.
Omfg my brain right now 🤯 Can two hours of Basic Fundamentals Coaching be booked or is that just offered once then we should move to the next training?
I can't get it to instantly boost me when I slide with no gun in hand like you. I still have the same restrictions on have with the gun, I just slide faster without it.
Take out my gun first before sliding is very helpful tip for me,ive been wonderinf for a while how pros shoot faster while running melee,i never thought they switch it first,i usuallt take out my gun after the slide and failed to kill my opponent
Well unless someone sees something I don't, this effectively means Xbox players have an advantage over playstation players. Looking through the settings we can't detach holster weapon from the same button as switch weapon. Meaning we have to have a delay of holding the switch button just to holster our weapon.
I always have the feeling, that I never get into a flow and always struggling avoiding being beamed....and I wonder if that already is common in lower skilllevels. I feel like a dead chicken in comparison and that might even mess up aim as well, because in my head I am already envisioning the encounter, but simply struggle through the whole process
I'm on Xbox series s just saw this video, it does not work for me on Xbox, I holster as wraith and push left stick forward and count 1 and slide, sometimes I slide normally, others it's really slow, and other times I straight up dead slide, it's very inconsistent on console at least for me
So District, would you say that the goal of this movement tech is to be shooting before your feet touch the ground after the slide jump? I feel like all the best players that have shit on me in the past have done this exact movement. Not only are they actively evading my shot, but they’re trading shots moving much quicker and unpredictably, especially after the land.
Hi! Just watched your stream lately. Anyway, do you draw your weapon so fast? I can’t draw mine till after the slide is over. You draw yours incredibly fast. I’m curious to what could be wrong
Sounds like you are sliding first, then pressing your swap weapon button. You wnt to press the swap weapon button FIRST, THEN slide immediately after, and if you do that, you should end up with your weapon out and ready to fire around the top of your jump, or, pun intended, the "Apex" of your jump.
Ahhh ok I was getting confused bcuz you said “not to have your weapon out” then it sounded like you were saying have it out…but you mean literally press swap then slide immediately so the weapon is coming into your hand as you are sliding…noice. Thank you
My aim bad , My movement not there no more I can't even do a simple wall bounce. I used to wall bounce everywhere in every fight but thats pretty much it I'm nerfed
@@iKeisu wdym? u could wall jump now u cant? how is that even possible? few months ago when i started playing i couldnt tap strafe or wallbounce at all, tried to learn it and it was rough for 2 3 days and then it just became natural.. i dont have any problems with it.. do tap strafe into wallbounce for more consistency if ur not already
@@dzopix I'm saying like I used to be able to flick into a wall bounce but that was on console, on pc I can't flick to into it also I'll come up short to wall or glue to it, movement all I always done for seasons but playing on pc I can't do simple stuff (unless it's in the range) it's not frustrating tho sometimes I can pull it off sometimes I cant
@@iKeisu im saying use tap strafe, when going for the wall bounce, tapstrafe into wall - that way youll have to be facing wall and then just jump as soon as you hit the wall.. its really not that hard, also make sure ur using scroll wheel instead of spacebar for jump, its much easier
If you don't have paddles on your controller what button would you recommend putting holster/weapon swap on? Because leaving it in its default position is weird as you have to take your thumb off of the right stick to press it
@@BrooklynSkateUSA my bumpers are all occupied with the important things. I guess I could remove ping from the right bumper but I don't like how moving the ping also changes the buttons for using your ult. I wish I could keep my ult as both bumpers even if I change what one of those bumpers does
I'm a little confused. So when mokeysniper mentioned in his vid that you have to start crouched and lurch forward to start the sprint timer-none of that is necessary?
