Kosem was always alert and on edge in season 1 not to mention she was constantly multitasking in order to protect her family and secure their future and then season 2 happened 🫣.. it’s like she evolved backwards

Historically it seems that Ahmed suffered suffered from stomach ache just like his mother(it also seems that Murad suffered from it although he made it worse by drinking too much). Kosem is no longer the same naive girl and regrets this pact with the witch. While I totally understand why she threw Iskender under the bus, she shouldn't have done that given what he did for her (sorry but if I criticized Hurrem for throwing Nigar at Hatice's mercy I have to do the same with Kosem). And I say that even though later on Iskender would be a pain for me.
@Leo For the sickness we will never know well. Handan die young ( 30 years old) and Ahmed die of gastrointestinal bleeding and it seems that Murad die of cirrhosis ( even if he drink a lot it seems that he had problem of health before)but some stomach aches can be genetic (I know what I'm talking about, I inherited that), so maybe it was the same problem for Handan and Ahmed ( Murad too he made it worse by drinking too much) . Yes agreed about Kosem but you will understand why I said it not still her best moment ( and on this point we can understand why Iskender was angry even if after his comeback he crossed the line)
@Leo Thank you very kind of you :) It's true that sometimes it's unbearable (like all illnesses) but I tell myself that there are illnesses that are much worse, and that doesn't prevent me from having fun or working so it is not a very big problem. In addition there are big advances in medicine so one day I will finally have a good treatment. In addition we all have problems in our life, we just have to try to move forward :)
I learned that Sultan Ahmed I died from typhoid fever. But yeah, that was something that hurt for Iskender. Poor guy didn’t ask to be born an Ottoman prince.
Handan had very bad health and also she suffered from stomach ache or similar digestive problems. Ahmed and Murad as children had also bad health,and Handan and Kosem were worried for their sons.They often get ill.And they all died like Handan(from diggestive problems).But Murad worsened his situation by drinking,and leading to cirrhosis. Also ambasadors have noted that most of Murad's sons were born with bad health and died before they turn 1 year. People think that Kosem had poisoned her grandsons,but this is not true. Because not only sons,but also other daughters of Murad IV died as infants too:Hafsa,Esmehan,Fatma,Rabia and Gevherhan. Some historians believe that Murad(and his sons) and Ahmed had inherited the bad health and diggestive problems from Handan. Also another sultan Suleiman II(the grandson which Kosem wanted to enthrone in episode 60)suffered even worse. He had dropsy(abnormal build-up of fluid in the abdomen).He could hardly walk or couldn't because of this. He was also in his late 40's when he ascended the throne. His mother Dilashub was on her hearly 60's and she was in bad health too,so she couldn't built power like the other members of SOW. But she wasn't apolitical,she in early 1689 retired in Edrine Palace to be treated and died a year later. During his reign mainly statesmens ruled the empire,and even some wanted to put Mehmed back on the throne,but Suleiman died in 1691,and his other brother Ahmed II ascended the throne. Ahmed II was popular sultan,even though without his mother(because Muazzez was dead that time),and he is consider as the favourite sultan of the people. While Mehmed IV and Suleiman II weren't interested in ruling and mainly were popular and in the throne because of their mothers,mainly it can be said because of Turhan,but also Dilashub at some point in her son's reign.
I get really in trouble trying to understand Iskenders behavior....he is visiting S.S. for 11 years (!!) just because she had once asked him, and than Kösem wish that he kill S.S., and he didnt deny? It was not an order! Than he gave the excusion that he "didnt kill a sultane?" Before that he gets in trouble with Zülficar because he didnt want to stop visiting S.S.?! And when he knew she is his mother he said he had no Family....didnt he listen ????And then he went furios to S.S. with 100 questions? I have the feeling the figure of Iskander was needed from the scriptwriter at one point just for dramatic scenes in the Plot, could this be?Even his beginning inside range/ the aggressive note is not going to be explained at the time he didnt knew he is a prince....Irritating are also such Headlines like "Iskender betrayed Mehmet G." I cannot see a betrayal when he said he will stay with his family! Strange....i would liked more support like have been in case of sultan muhrad, he makes harsh decisions over and over, but you can follow because you learn what is going on inside this person..In case of the figure of iskender to me there is a big ????? Hääähh?????? Unfortunately
