Strong tomato base, but no chunks of tomato; any ground meat, but it has to be finely chopped after browning so there aren't large chunks; red chili beans. Texture is everything... the finished product needs a silky smooth liquid component, and the meat needs to melt in your mouth.

Texture IS everything. I only eat chili with a high mouth-feel rating 😂 That sounds like a fine addition to the Super Mario World Official Chili Recipe Book (tm) (rights reserved) (unofficial product of Nintendo of America of Japan).

Don’t tell Butts. 🤣 Soy is perfectly acceptable! I’ve never had a soy-based chili, but I’d love to try some. I’m sure there are some great soy chili recipes out there.
