My husky is super anxious during bath time, but I added some of your tricks and it helped turn bath time from a two person job to a one person job. She still tries to fight me a bit but she didn’t have a anxiety attack this time! Thank you so much!!

Summary: 1. Bathe indoors. Huskies tend to get dirty immediately after bath so had to do that indoors. So better clean your home then wash your dog again outdoor. 2. Tire then out before you give them a bath. 3. Have a distraction for the husky in the bathroom like snacks(peanut butter and cookies on the wall) or maybe toys so you can waah them in peace 4. Don’t keep the water running when you bring the husky in(freaks them out!) . Have a cup and bucket with water ready already if possible. 5. Have a good shampoo and conditioner. 6. Keep 2-3 extra towels to dry them

we don’t trust peanut butter because one of our dogs throws up after she eats peanut butter so yeah we just don’t feed it to our dogs even tho they love it

Just another tip, put a bathmat or something soft in the bottom of tub for any pups that don’t like the feel of their nails/paws on the tub. My husky Shepard mix only gets in if I put something down.

Today I just bathed my 10 week old husky, was terrified from my past experience (an angry German Shepard and sharpei drowning the bathroom). The minute I put peanut butter on the wall and the water coming in my lil girl decided the bath was an alright place to be. Your channel is a game changer.

We adopted our husky on a subtropical island and he LOVES to swim in the ocean. We have to chain him up when we go snorkeling on camp trips because he'll try to follow us out lol. My daughter calls him a "Hus-Fish." Still hates the bathtub and not wild about the doggy pool we got him.

There's floof everywhere, but I heard that they often liked to be brushed / should be brushed once a day. you could put peanut butter on the wall if they won't stay still and then they'll definitely stay still to lick up all the peanut butter. ❤️

Give them a brush before the tub to ascertain if there's any knotted fur/wool. Especially round the rear end where nasty bits might accumulate. the areas of knotted fur should be heavily conditioned to untangle it. Better still. work some conditioning agent in if the knots are bad before bathing

I wish I knew that peanut butter trick back when I had a dog. what I would do was throw on my swimsuit and get in the shower with the dog and trap her between my legs . it worked pretty good but I think peanut butter is more effective

Like a half a bath. I ended up using the commercial carwash dog bathes for our husky and 2 malamutes. End dry blow was as always the scary part for them but a simple towel wrapped over the ears settled them . We could also choose weather to use their dog wash or supply our own and simply use the rinse and blowdry function.

I just gave my 7 week husky pup a bath for the first time yesterday. I only had him for a week.He did really good for the most part. He kept wanting to get out the tub but stayed in there. I didn’t do the peanut butter thing but I’ll try next time.

We found a pet sprayer for less than $15 bucks at Lowes. You hook it to your water nozzle and it sprays out a gentle stream of water, makes it way easier than using a cup and you can rinse them far better. Its so gentle that all they feel is the warmth from the water.

Hi, excellent video, never thought of putting peanut butter on the wall to get huskies or any dog quietly in the tub. I have four Labrador babies, but never thought of peanut butter. I had an eleven and a half year old husky that passed away from heart failure about eight months ago and still miss her greatly. Keep up the excellent work.

Don't, even if the remembrance makes you sad just remember the fun times the two of you had, you shouldn't want to forget your best pal now, it's like saying you don't want to be happy :( I had three once and one of them died, yeah he was extremely stupid but I still love him and remembering the (very few times) we had fun together made me happy, same with a baby bunny my two oldest brothers had nursed back to health. Also my dogs aren't huskies, but their death isn't what makes me sad, my disease and other things are the reasons. You can see two of my dogs and bunny on this channel called "kiraneryse Gordon" IF you want to. I don't like forcing ppl, just a suggestion :p
