hi bro, thx for this great video.. also could you tell us which slog we should use and with picture profil (i also got the sony a7iii) would be so great! thx a lot for ur work!
i think to get a great color grading is we need to have a great footage first ..( which is all the setting are correct and shadow and highlight are good )
Appreciate the live demo on your color correction and grading, Sean. It's nice to see what you're doing as well as the before and after. This video helps show that color correction/grading doesn't have to be intimidating. Really helpful bro. P.S. The bonus tip is a great idea man!
So many parts of Cape Town remind me of the stretch of California from Newport Beach to Dana Point. Gorgeous town, but you can keep the aggressive sharks! Lol, brother if you make it to SoCal and need a guide or would like to collab on some stuff please reach out. Thank you for the tips!
@@richardstirling5799 Jesus bro, do you assume everyone is a moron? Obviously there are great whites in California. Which is why I couldn't have been any more specific. I even named the local cities.... Our great white sharks don't fly out of the ocean with baby seals in their mouths.... Yeah I think a guy got one to do it miles off of the coast of San Diego, but you don't see Discovery Channel over here filming docs on jumping whites for Shark Week.... In fact most are juvenile in Southern California, I've heard of one incident in my life and it was a dude swimming north of the places I mentioned in my comment.
Sean, this was amazing video!!! You've shown me the ropes in 30 minutes, I will be color grading my trail running video I shot in Death Valley National park using your techniques. Thank you!!! Will be looking for a video from you on how to process audio, your sound is quite clean and amazing as well! Cheers man! Keep these coming, new sub here!
I don't know about PRO. You are intermediate / high. PRO are the people like Waqas Qazi, Color Grading Central etc. First shot is too contrasty and the blacks are crushed.
Thanks for the awsome tutorial. This is so what I was looking for. I have a different question. I am a newbie in video editing and stuck on my macbook pro as of now but I am looking to upgrade. So can you please share your PC configuration cos it seems perfect for rendering. Thanks in advance. 🙂
I'll suggest you use a machine with at least 8gb of video ram and 16gb of ram or 64gb of ram if you can intel core 9th generation is super but 8th or 7th gen is still okay and most especially use SSD they are faster than HDD
Hey, I am editing a slog footage of a car in desert. After adjusting the whites n blacks(took it to -100)...the blacks have still not reached the 0 mark in waveform luma(blacks are at 20)..so should i use one more lumetri effect and lower the blacks till it reaches 0 ??????
hi bro, i u are really good with color grading. i do not know what I am doing wrong, but I am having lots of trouble color currct and grading. plz help me somehow. it would be appreciatable.

I am so grateful to you because I am learning so many things from you. I am just only a beginner and I learned many tips from you. thank you so much and more power to your channel. :)
Whenever I'm looking for something on RU-vid I find ten million videos that say nothing and one Sean video that summarises it efficiently and clearly. You have a gift for teaching, Sean!
Loved the video, been waiting for this one. Quick question: I have a Canon g7 mark ii. If I am shooting in raw, what is the best color profile to shoot with for color grading. Would you suggest neutral for this camera or make my own settings within the camera? Any guidance would be super helpful as I am trying to get myself off auto! Thanks :)
