I am a pretty shy guy. Picking up random girls isn't my thing. I've met the most wholesome and respectful women on facebook. I got friends with them, it really clicked well and then we decided to just look for more. And honestly my girlfriend now is absolutely on another tier. I am really happy, not just with her but with myself as well. My advice to anyone struggling is this: Find your niche. Maybe find it on social media. Stay playful, stay respectful and stay yourself.
Me too, being a shy guy is a hard thing in society but it changes when you have a hobby, like love or respect yourself. As a woman: these "strategies" are really obvious and it's just creepy. I know everyone is probably tired of hearing it, but you shouldn't pretend to be someone you're not. Especially if you want an actual relationship.

I don't really see the harm in someone having a cringe interaction that they could walk away from at any time. Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything. To be fair, if these channels exist, it's only because there's no actual advice for people that don't know how to date. They only hear "be yourself" or "be confident" but nobody actually takes the time to teach people how to be these things, there's a very interesting video about this topic by macabre storytelling I remember being an awkward 15yo and inevitably watching some of these videos.
