Love every garland you decorated ,your step by step instructions are so helpful .you sure have a amazing talent ,I could listen to your beautiful soothing voice all day .I'm a fan thank you .😊❤❤
I love the end look! The addition of the eucalyptus is brilliant. I have been looking for Garland with a built-in, never thought to add it as an add-on. Thank you! 🙏🏽
Thank you for the great advice. I have a corner mantel so I love this idea of mounting it on the front. I am going to use the basic command hooks and use several. I need to make sure the garland doesn't fall because it will be on a hot stove pipe. I have also used real pine cones and winterberries to my artificial garland as well.
Hi Christina ❤ Thanks for sharing the various mantle ideas. Love the one you settled on! I find the center and start there. This year, I've added the garland baubles. Made a lovely statement. Those Command Cord Bundlers are genius! Thank you for sharing. 🎄 I especially love the thee added touch to your chandelier. Perfect!
Those cord bundlers are genius. Grand and Toy carries them, too. Heads up if using them on painted drywall for a long time (2 years for mine) mine tore the paint and paper off. When I moved my desk I installed them with screws--an easier fix. Your mantel looks beautiful!
Thank you do much for sharing!!! I always have a fight trying to hang my garland every year!! I truly appreciate all you tips and tricks, that you have taught us through the years ❤😃
I absolutely love how this looks! We always use garland on our mantle and hang our stockings. Since we don't put gifts in our stockings, it always bothered me that they were flat.... so, I started stuffing them with tissue paper. Now, they look so much better!
Your comment about following instructions for command strips, reminded me of a xmas when our xmas free fell over we blamed our dog, then one night it fell our on its own. Laughed felt bad for blaming our dog, from then on tie our tree to our stair railing😊
Any advice to securing a garland to a brick fireplace? Command hooks are either too light and fall off or too sticky and leave tape behind in all those cracks.
Beautiful holiday deco ideas! I'm curious how you anchored your mirror above the mantel. I have a similar stone wall above my fireplace mantel and am having difficulty figuring out how to securely place a heavy mirror on my mantel. Any suggestions on how to secure it enough so that it will not tip forward and off the mantle if bumped? How is your mirror secured?
I love your mantel!! Do you know if they work on a stone mantle? That is what I have a find it hard to put garland on my mantle without just laying it on the mantle.
@@thediymommyI just removed command loops that had been installed for 2 years, on painted drywall, and it tore the paint and paper off. Short term may be different.
Costco has nice prelit garlands that fit your requirements. I'm afraid command hooks are not strong enough to support the weight or will be too strong and peel off paint. The cord bundlers are sold out😫 . I may have to use regular command hooks and floral wire around the garland
I have a much SIMPLER way to decorate your mantel. Measure your mantel, go to Home Depot and buy a piece of wood two inches shorter than your mantel, paint the wood the same color as your mantel. Using your staple gun, attach the garland to the wood, decorate the garland with lights making sure the plug is hanging on the same side as a plug. Set the decorated board on the mantel and add any decor you like to it. When the season is over, put the board in a big garbage bag and hang in a closet or garage. It is so much easier and every year the garland and lights are ready to be decorated. I have also made these for window sills. Happy Holidays
@@2ysur2ysib My best time safer during the holidays was 15 years ago I had a house built and I ask the framers to measure all the eves and cut 1x2. I painted them the same color as the trim, wrote on the back of the wood where the location was and I staple gunned my lights to the wood. I installed bike hooks in the garage and stored them on the bike hooks in the top of the garage. I stall the light strips on the eves with with small hooks. It was brilliant and took about an hour to install a 2 story house. Your welcome. Merry Christmas and have a blessed new year
