Few questions please: 1. Why to parent camera to empty, just use 3d cursor to scale the camera and you are done. 2.Why not just add Ambient occlusion pass in blender to use in compositing. 3.Why not you just do it in Photoshop and for long term, fusion can be taught for VFX compositing. 4. How to override the bounce light of any material so we can use sky texture for indirect lighting as sometimes we don't want to splash green grass color on walls.

I literally watched the whole video and such videos actually give the person a holistic and fundamental vision that he can apply to any other project. Such thing is very necessary to teach blender people because as a newbie we just focus on tool perfection rather emphasize on why we are doing such thing and the impact it will do to enhance our composition. Otherwise the tool practitioner will today or tomorrow will be replaced by AI algo... I become your permanent subscriber for blender VFX and compositing.

Another fantastic piece of highly valuable information for beginners! Thanks a lot for sharing, buddy! It would be truly awesome if you could also tell us about requirements for source footage. From personal experience, I can attest that much of the footage captured with my phone ends up being nearly useless. While I often get a good solve error, the lack of parallax renders it ineffective. I typically shoot architectural scenes with the intention of adding elements later on. So, if you could create a video exploring these nuances, I'm certain many novices would greatly appreciate it! Thank you for this amazing tutorial. I have a question. Is there a way to recreate the camera perspective without any third party software? I know that it is still possible manually in Blender but it takes for ever to do it. Isn't there a specific technique or tool for that in Blender?

Yeah I didn't want beginners to have to deal with it and honestly it's super easy to just download and drop it in. If I was doing a fully 3d scene with a ton of assets then I would but just for one it's not too bad. Also it teaches beginners the import process

in the render, do you see a difference between color depth 8 or 16?

Depends on what I plan to do with color. I find with the clients I work with, it typically doesn't matter however if you're needing to really push color or if it's a more professional gig with a film camera, it might be worth it. Personally I don't need that extra data for my work but to each their own.

This is a beginner tutorial and aces might be a little more higher level. Also in a majority of my work, clients would prefer to not use aces since it requires special monitor hardware to really utilize. I've only seen aces in higher level film work. In my line of commercial work, you rarely see aces.

Is green screen still necessary when roto brush 3.0 exists?

Yes of course. Rotobrush cannot get the finer details that greenscreen can especially in the hair. Rotobrush is great for quick rotos on simple objects but anything with more detail it's going to struggle. Not to mention sometimes the back ground bleeds into the edge of a subject and that can cause issues as well. Great tool for the right use case but definitely not a green screen replacement
