The Secret to Overlubing a Thunderclap!

This method can be applied to pretty much any 3x3. I tend to only use it on cubes that are too fast initially. Or cubes that I want to have a softer feeling. I wouldn't recommend this on cubes that are fairly slow/heavy to begin with.
Literally one of my most requested videos. Super easy to lube a cube like this. :P Lately just going through my more requested videos and trying to make them.

to break it in, i do M2 U2 on the cube a million times. it works extremely well and is pretty fun. The only bad thing is that it's louder than your early morning construction.

I did this to my thunderclap, and it really did the trick. Out of the box the cube was too fast, I did about 150 solves with it before cleaning out the factory lube and lubing it myself. It really slowed it down to the perfect speed for me.

Nah, the secret is to fill a swimming pool with lube, jump in the pool, with the thunderclap of course, and then go underneath the lube and stay there until you're dead.

This is definitely the best way to lube a thunderclap. I did it with mine a while ago and after breaking in (a few hundred solves) it was amazing. It warms up with you as you solve, so it's slow at first but then speeds up. But it's not too fast, which is good, but also not too slow if you need to go faster.

Was cleaning the hardware of my thunderclap, and decided i would finally try this. Used weight 5 in place of 50k, and added DNM-37 as well. I have to say, WOW! It is smooth, soft, quiet, and fast. This almost became my main over the Air UM.

I set up my cubes by tightening it up as much as possible to the point where you can hardly turn it. Next, I turn it as forcefully as I can on each face for about an hour each. After that I loosen the cube up again, take it apart and clean each piece off (because this breaks in the plastic so quickly that it creates plastic saw dust). Next I would lube it pretty much like you did. Lastly I would use the same break-in method to break in the lube as I did to break in the plastic. Try it, it makes a puzzle really fast but a different kind of fast than if you were to use a lighter lube.

so my thunderclap is stickerless. I used Lotion(I dont have lube) (Cetaphil). Then i lube eveything with lotion and put lube on the screw. Then I lube the pieces. Now one side(the blue) is REALLY fast while the others are slower. I am a 32-35 second solver and use cfop. I want to know the easiest algorithms for PLL that gets the job done. No Cube rotations. And why is my cube fast and slow. my tensions look to be even.

Hey, have you experienced the cube slowing down after being broken in (without lube)? I have a Yuxin Water (a very slow cube), and my Thunderclap has even worst of a turning resistance/speed than it.

Yes, a cube with no lube will get slower after a ton of break in. Dust builds up inside of it. Clean it out and relube and it will be fine.

Is it normal for orders take more than 10 days to arrive? I ordered the cubes October 2 form the cubicle but I think the USPS is the one taking forever. It still says that it has departed White Plains, NY and it was an order of a Valk 3 and a Weilong Gts with Valk 3 stickers. My real question is if the USPS normally takes more than 10 days to deliver?

Lcube BL if you mean Lubicle, then probably not. If you mean Traxxas 50k from the cubicle, then yes because they are the same substance. Please correct me if I'm wrong

I'm just starting speedcubing and I am about to upgrade from my milk filled ( long story) rubik's brand cube. Would this be a good setup, or should I go with something that takes less breaking in?

If you've just started, I wouldn't recommend this cube. It's far too fast out of the box, and the breaking in will drive you crazy. Perhaps you could try the MF3RS. From what I've heard, it's great without any setting up.

BLOOGaming break in isn't all that hard so long as you are somewhat fast, so i wouldn't worry about break in except on dayan 2x2s

well ive heard of some cases of cubes feeling different depending on the plastic color. Example: stickerless bochuang being less scratchy than the black model. I was wondering if he (or anyone) could confirm that for the thunderclap specifically.
