I really appreciate your presentation and instruction in such a concise format! Leaning, connecting and exploding makes so much sense. I have been working on my return of serve, and this will really help with my forward momentum. Question…do you cock your wrist before contact? I’ve heard different advise on this. Thanks again! I recently found your Podcast “This Pickleball Life” and absolutely love it! 🤗

I like your presentation of this skill. I'm trying to change my habit of hitting the return and watching and then moving forward. Boy it's hard to get this 60+ year old body to break the habit and move forward. But I have faith. Thanks for the clear explanation. I have been to a Sarah Ansboury clinic, which I enjoyed and learned 'stuff' at. But your presentation is the repetition that I guess I needed to retain and retrain. 😊

Sarah is the BEST! Yes if you can feel like your return is ALREADY moving you forward, you'll be halfway to the kitchen before your ball lands! I have faith in you. :-)

Yes. The ground is ultimately the source of all our leverage. imagine trying to hit a ball sitting in a swiveling chair...that would be tough! Use the ground force!

Excellent tips. Pickleball is frustrating for beginners (😢 me). I want to continue playing as it's great exercise and fun to make new friends. I just want my skills to improve faster. *sigh*

Keep at it. Remember to keep it simple. Watch the ball and swing to your target!

Silliness. The player should be as motionless as possible when hitting the ball, not moving in any direction when hitting. You should know this.
