This is absolutely amazing ! It's inspired from insects/ frogs that tells : i'm colorfull... and full of poison ! But also has an alien glowing effect. Thank you i have my new painting scheme ! Hats off !
Starting to test this out on some OnePageRules models I printed. This inspired me to do bioluminescent aliens and synthwave Eternal Dynasty (think japenese themed cyber punk)
Thank you for bringing me my motivation back to get into painting. i cant wait to try this on my leviathan set of nids and repainting my Ultramarines too.
@@heresyforheretics I’m just started. I came across a cheapo bitz bin ten man gaunt squad, and I’ve challenged myself to paint ten different styles to try and decide what I like and don’t like, and maybe even what I may want to mix and match. TBH this scheme is still sitting in the top slot for my favorite, but I want to trust the process and just make ten different styles and see where the process takes me. But what I like is that it’s such a departure from the Tau, Blood Angels, and Necrons I painted before that it just has its own stand alone look and appeal. Again I really do appreciate when my fellow artists share their knowledge. It has so greatly improved my skills that it’s made it so I have found renewed enjoyment in the hobby.
@Bibliotics that's actually almost exactly what I do. I just pull out a bunch if models and try new things to see what works and what could use some more work. Great way to experiment and just push pigments stress free
I love this! what are some colors or ideas you could point me to for doing this scheme on neurotyrant or zoanthrope brains to match and also blades for tyrants and some other bigger weapons or fleshy guns?
I'm about to adapt this paint plan and the Claws from Ghaz on an Infinity Steindrage using mostly using Golden soFlat's, pretty sure I've figured out the colors that will work as fill ins from their line, and I can always mix with my normal miniature paint collection. If it works I'm going to do the rest of the beasties from the Infinity TAG Raid kickstarter in the same style. Thanks for the Synthwavey inspiration!

@@heresyforheretics haha indeed! The good news is that I’m such a perfectionist that it will take me a month to finish one box! It’s whether I get an airbrush or not that will determine how damaging the initial outlay is for me wallet.
@Rich-in6ds now I REALLY have to apologise. I'm a huge advocate for airbrushes. Fancy tricks aside, being able to prime in any weather is a massive plus and then of course, the fancy tricks 🤣

This looks great and Ive used it on my Vortex beast as I think it works great for Zteechy stuff too. One question though on the Nids in this scheme what would you swap the normally red parts out for? Yellow maybe? For example in an Exocrines gun
Thats awesome! Depends on how much you want it to standard out. Yellows and oranges could be really cool, me personally I think I'd stay with magenta and greens but fluorescent for some crazy pop
I'm interested, why do you use Vallejo Model Color over Game Color? Game color is known for being brighter which I would have thought you would prefer for this style?
the few game colours paints i had back then i wasnt a big fan of. not sure if i had a bad batch or something happened in transit with extream temp changes but yeah i just didnt enjoy working with them. the model colors i had were all pretty consistant

i have everything in the shopping basket except Vallejo Model Color light pink :( I checked everywhere online and can't find it available.. i also can't see an equivalent in the other brands. Can anyone please suggest a citadel or army painter equivalent? :)

If you want CRAZY IRIDESCENCE, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Turbo Dork's Colour Shifting metallic paints for Tyranid carapaces. I use a trio of their colours (Scarab, Sky Rat and Wave Length) for the carapaces of my main Hive Fleet Tenebreon, and they look stunning!
