Yes love I understand wear you are coming from. She has that lovely soft voice. She is a beautifull. Lady with a beautifull voice. Fantastic group. Best group in the world. I love this lady Judith Durham. Xxx💖💖🌹🌹💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
This group has it all! Good, solid musicianship, chemistry, flawless delivery, and the ability to endear generations of fans. They know how to attract and hold a crowd without having to go on stage half dressed, with gaudy styles and instruments so loud that the music is lost
@Glendale41 : I agree that the "USA sure could use a group like this", but "The Seekers" aren`t just Australian. They are also citizens of the world bringing people together from all over the globe with joy and happiness. Music truly is the International Language. Lorraine
The beautiful, clear, strong, melodic voice of this lovely woman is just in a class all alone, in my opinion! Been a fan since 1964. My favorite female vocalist, period, Still listen to the the Seekers daily. Tim in Midland, Texas
I LOVE their sound. Her voice is SO beautiful, and the accompaniment is SUPERB!! I never tire of their music. My favorite?? Since I spent THOUSANDS of miles on trains as a youngster, it would be "Morning Town Ride". I love their Australian Accents also!!
The most perfect beautiful voice of ANY female singer thats ever been!!!! Such a small lady.........such a BIG voice - thank you for the email Judith X
Judiths amazingly clear voice only improved with her age and confidence. The Seekers music brought me immense enjoyment. Thankyou. The 1960s was a transformative music decade.
This group really did have a way of making people happy, and Judith still has the voice as beautiful as ever. I wish there were groups around these days that could bring people together and just celebrate life and be happy.
I will always have a soft spot for this song - it was the one that drew my attention to this group back in the 60's. A long and harmonious relationship :=))
With the fortune to have the great folk traditions in my childhood, it is more than nostalgic, it is very refreshing to see The Seekers many yrs later keeping the faith.
So so sad Australia for yr ràging fires. Devastion of yr Animals and loss of lives. Love all my Australian friends and family relatives. Saying prayers for all.
I am extremely amazed. Not only does she look fantastic, and nearly the same as 1965, her voice. HER VOICE !! Not one bit off from the original recording !! She hit every not completely perfect !!! The Guys played the instruments and did their background vocals to absolute perfecttion !! If I didn't know any better, I'd SWEAR I was listening to the original recording !!
Londonderry,Northern Ireland 1965 ,Embassy Ballroom,I danced nightly to this song, while visiting with the Royal Canadian Navy.Never ever forgot that song and never will.
This is lovely - us Aussies, esp my generation, love overseas acknowledgement. l've only just reaquainted myself with them today on YT, looking for an old fav. for chn l work with. l've got goose bumps all over from the joy of the experience. Just lovely to realize as we get older - good things don't have a use by date.
Interestingly enough, if you listen to many of Judith's wonderful vocal performances, she has often been mistaken for Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary fame and has even been gracious enough to sign her own name as Mary Travers to unknown fans at many past concerts. Judith and THE SEEKERS are truly one of the classiest performers of OUR Entire Generation . . . Love you Judith Durham and ALL of The Seekers! Class all the WAY! From The U.S.A. with MUCH LOVE . . . ~
Sheer Class. Proud of our 1960's generation. We have accomplished alot. We fought for what we needed and all was expressed in these great songs of our decade....i.e. John Lennon, David Ruffin, Marvin Gaye, Aretha, Smoky, Stevie Wonder, gosh it just did not get any better.
This is one the greatest songs I know. I have known it since I was a child. But until now, I couldn't search for it. Silly me, I thought it was "Land of Our Own." No wonder I couldn't find it! Anyways, thanks a million for posting.
Close the door, light the light We're stayin' home tonight Far away from the bustle and the bright city lights Let them all fade away, just leave us alone And we'll live in a world of our own We'll build a world of our own that no one else can share All our sorrows we'll leave far behind us there And I know you will find there'll be peace of mind When we live in a world of our own Oh, my love, oh my love, I've cried for you so much Lonely nights without sleeping while I longed for your touch Now your lips can't evade the heartache I've known Come with me to a world of our own We'll build a world of our own that no one else can share All our sorrows we'll leave far behind us there And I know you will find there'll be peace of mind When we live in a world of our own We'll build a world of our own that no one else can share All our sorrows we'll leave far behind us there And I know you will find there'll be peace of mind When we live in a world of our own And I know you will find there'll be peace of mind When we live in a world of our own Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Tom Springfield

I can't understand even 1 "dislike"...I've noticed the people who click "dislike" on songs like this never leave comments. I can only assume it's because they can't spell.
The years have gone by so quick but this music will remain for ever. The other day I was watching the weather channel and the guy who on for that hour said that he can't listen to the music that is being played. God love that guy. There is a hint. Many of the artist of today can't sing. We the old are are not bias we are telling the truth.
