I agree totally, I have pink watch straps for October as breast cancer awareness is a cause that is very near and dear to me. Would love to have a pink dial/bezel watch
I’m hoping a lot of manufacturers are going to produce a pink dialled watch. The new Squale looks great, with the exception of the white straps. Grey or pale blue would have been so much better, but a pink equivalent of something like the Oris Baikal in terms of shading and colour depth would look great
Currently have the 38mm Pepsi and I have to say it is such a quality feeling and looking watch for under $300. It is one of the most accurate autos I have and gets compliments everywhere. If I could shake your hand Marc, I would. Cheers!
i´ve order the blue dial (SL-09) and hope to get it soon (i´m from Europe) has soon as he gets home i´ll order the Green don´t kon if will be the sunburst dial , or wait for the limited Edition ! happy Hollidays for all the watch entusiasts
UPDATE: It's gorgeous. I want another one now. 38mm is perfect. Just ordered the blue dial! Haven't owned a watch in 4 years. I want the Stowa Flieger 36mm classic, but I will save up a while more.
Thank pink is awesome.! Great for my wife, but I might wear it with a blue Oxford or a madras beach shirt that has some pink in it. Don't limit yourself.
I just watch a review video last night of an Islander and the reviewer (Watch Labs iirc) said the islander logo should be Marc's face because he is the face of LIW just like Col. Sanders is the face of KFC. And he is serious about it.
Oh no, i've been looking for a womens dive watch for my partner for a while now, saw the pink in the thumbnail and I think this is it! Well done for removing money from my pocket Mark :)
Just got the email that mine shipped. Looking forward to this as it's very hard to find a good, reasonably priced 38mm dive watch for those of us with smaller wrists.
Looking forward to that special edition ISL-18. Started building my own SKX via the website and by the time I make all the upgrades I wanted.....the Islander IMO is a much better value.
Marc - once again - *please* make a larger version of the hulk Islander. If you ever make a MM case, give all green a go. The pink is lovely - the insert would be sweet over a white dial too. Too small (8" wrist) but I'd wear that.
Is it wrong to want and own multiple SKX style watches? 😂 I splurged on a green one just now.. my second midsize. Islander watches .. maybe its not for everyone, but I really dig them. When I was a kid I used to love ordering away by mail and checking out catalogs even if I couldnt afford to buy everything--skateboards, model RC planes, rockets, gokarts, science kits computers and chemistry. I built my living on "clone" computers. The idea of modifying something or built-to-order is just so cool. I dont have a steady enough hand to modify watches (learned the hard way, ha), but luckily there are those who can help! Watch collecting is a freaking addictive hobby haha.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I CANT BELIEVE IVE WAITED MY WHOLE LIFE , SAVING AND SAVING ALL FOR LIW TO TELL ME ITS OVER!!!!!! Hang on......... I’ve got one. Sorry got carried away! These look sweet and I’d love to do a comparison on my channel!!!!! I’ll get m’wallet.
Please put me on the waiting list for the 100 pieces Limited Edition of the Islander , with blue dial, the "Yacht****" engraved bezel and the red second hand! Thank you for what you do and kindest regards.
Thanks so much for restocking the 38s! Have you considered another "tribute" to the Polar White with i.e. 38mm version of the ISL-29 but with a reversed, steel dual time like the Explorer II?
I bought the green ISL-21 the second I got the email. I'll quit bugging you now ;) thanks! Next is a jubilee for it. The pinky is interesting because I would love to see a salmon dial in the Islander case. Very nice.
Missing out the first time haunted me til now.. hehe... I think it would be really cool if you could actually choose bracelet style to go with your Islander... luckily I've got the jubilee from an ISL-05, the oyster with the ISL-21 coming and I also have a Strapcode Endmill to swap around... plus these watches look amazing on leather straps and NATOs 😎
@@anothercanucknoob4433 Oh thats awesome. I've been doing pairings in my head while I wait for it to arrive, can't wait to see how it goes with everything. I definitely will get a jubilee though, has more of a classic look and is cooler on the wrist.
I have the ISL-05, I'm wearing it as I watch the video. Mine's a first run (or "generation"?), so pins for sizing the bracelet, no logo on the crown and a (very good, IMO) pressed clasp. I like the J-style bracelet more, so I swapped it for the O-style one that was on my ISL-21, as I simply wear that watch more. Both of them look and feel much more premium than their price suggests, in my opinion better than the 013 they're based on. The fact that Marc included the upgrades at no extra cost on the later model watches just seals the deal for me.
@@islandwatch Not a problem. Your service is excellent. Also, I noticed a typo on your site regarding the ISL-21. It says in the specs that it has a flat crystal, but in the description that it has a double domed one. Just thought I'd let you know.
I have an ISL-05 as well and kind of turned my nose up at the bracelet initially .. now when I go back to it, and its tiny little clasp and pressed metal, it actually feels kind of cool hehe..as long as you dont have to change the sizing that is... 🤣
Minute hand and second hand fit perfectly on that pink one ( also green one ) ! My wife would love that one! The others look off to me, both minute hand and second hand too short , Imo . Great video can't wait to see some new releases!
Happy to see the green will get to go to more people. Got mine during first wave and love it so far. Can’t wait to see some of the new designs you have brewing. Hoping to maybe see a different movement than the ever present NH36.
I love these smaller size divers but is there any plans to do anything about those crown guards? I had to sell my SKX007 because of how much they dig into your wrist, beautiful watches
I'm 5'11 and weigh 280+ and I would wear that pink. I have a Pink Russian Diver from Invicta I wear sometimes so that 38MM wouldn't be that bad on my 7' wrist
Mark can I suggest you put your divers hat on for your next watch. I think a model as you have been doing them but with the design of the Orient MForce orange minute hand and orange bezel markers. True divers watch.
Have a 6 and half inch wrist size, would love to own one without the bezel like the new SRPEs. Only difference would be the AR Sapphire and better bracelet from you. Please consider this!
Arrrgghhh! I have to live with the fact that I missed out on the restock of that gorgeous emerald 38mm. That is *my burden* 😢 Edit - UPDATE: I scored an Islander ISL-21 in outstanding, like new condition on eBay. It's totally boss & well worth the wait. The Green dial & chapter ring look really dynamic through the sapphire dome in the sunlight, and the green-lumed sapphire bezel *really glows* in the dark. I actually think there IS something to the delayed gratification thing. Bravo, Marc & LIW 💯 "Unfortunately" I think I have to get the Pepsi 38mm now as well 🤷🏼
So glad I missed out on the ISL 18 (for the second time)! Is there a waitlist to sign up for, for that limited edition run? I'm saving up and can't decide because everything you release is so tempting!
@@islandwatch Oh I knew about that waitlist for the ISL-18. I was talking about the possible special run you mentioned, same red button link since it will be a special ISL-18?
I really like the SKX013 and marinemaster seconds hand. Hopefully someday I'll be able to afford one(or more), haha. Looking at the 21, and 22 or 23. Also, that pink one looks real nice.
Please do the isl sunburst blue dial in a 38 mm size, but with a brushed (not polished) O bracelet . Waiting for that and hope it comes soon. Something like the green 38mm with MM hands, but in a blue sunburst radiant dial! A sunburst blue pinky, if you will. Guaranteed to be a knockout.
Another great video, Marc! Quick question; the bracelets, when removing links to adjust size, are the links pin and collar or just simply "handed"? TIA! Oh yeah, any more "watch and learn" instalments coming in the near future? They are such a great learning tool! Stay safe and well!
