I watched Nahmir from when he blew up until now and I can say he self-sabotaged his career himself. Firstly, it shouldn’t have taken almost 4 years for his album to come out from when he first blew up. It didn’t help that Nahmir blew up during the “Clout era (SoundCloud)” and waited to drop his album not only when his personal hype died down but also when his style of rap died down. By 2021, rap had shifted into street rappers that had actual street cred.. the Pooh shiestys, the King Vons, etc. Nahmirs fake gangbanging style of SoundCloud rap had died by the time he dropped his 1st album. Then adopting a fake LA persona was corny. LA music isn’t even in style like it once was. Also, he prioritized his relationship at the time over his music career it seemed like. That lovey dovey stuff didn’t help his image either. I’m surprised you didn’t mention that relationship. Great video though!

My frustration with him is that he seems very short sighted. He turned down a 20k boxing match that Adin offered him because it wasn’t enough. He holds on desperately to the gangster persona that he blocks his own blessings. He should’ve been one of the FIRST rappers streaming and playing games considering he starting rapping on GTA but he wants to run from that fact and be something he’s not and now the flame he had when he blew up is a small ember and he’s doing these 1k features to keep himself afloat presuming he has a couple other things that he gets paid from. There’s no reason why he shouldn’t be one of the biggest rap/streamers rn but he never commits to being on camera cause how it’ll effect how he’s perceived. He wants to be tough, imposing and rough around the edges but everyone can see that he’s really just a chill semi talented rapper who is generous, cool and ultimately just like a good amount other kids who actually had people around them that loved them growing up. I mean for Christ sake the guy had BRACES.
