Thank you so much for this guide! I followed your guide step by step, and I was able to beat this Brutal Challenge. I had my computer screen side by side with my PS5 screen so that I pause every round and view your guide for each round as I play each round. That worked out pretty well. I had to do about five restarts on the first two rounds to familiarize myself with this trick and once I familiarized myself with the brumal form shortcuts, casting ATB Ward on Yuffie from Aerith, then casting haste on Yuffie, then the magic spell spam begins with Tifa and Aeirth! Genji gloves is a must. I saw 22K damage in one of the runs!

dude thank u for this guide. i got it in my third try (to learn the set up quickly as possible in fight before getting hitted or sth). i stuck there for 2 days cause of the damn worm but now i flew through the challenge like a breeze. worked like a charm. finally i can come down..this worm gave me nighmares. thank u a lot ! greetings from germany

Thanks for the guide! Can do the first seven rounds very consistently. Died in Round 8 at least a half dozen times. Beat it the first time I got past that round.

I FINALLY beat this today! I kept dying to the stupid cactus twins. Magnify+Barrier and magnify+haste help a ton. Quickly stagger and focus down one. Use one character to party heal from the needles attack; barrier will help you tank it. Use stop on the other cactus; once one is down, the fight is cake. Round 10 wasn’t even a challenge 🙃.

This one was by far the easiest for me. I had like 0 troubles at all. Almost done woot cant wait to finish the next one.

Kid G just wiped out 2 party members while i was casting a spell in literally half a second. These challenges are broken

Worked like a charm. Couple of things to help people. If you're not procing enough atb with yuffie, its because you forgot haste. Trust me bro, lol. Great way to dodge getting swallowed is to just use dodge (circle) towards the worm as he comes out. If MP is a problem, your absorbs are on quake and ice for tifa and aerith respectively.

I have to take a break from this. I constantly die in round 8 for some stupid reason. It's infuriating! I have 87 of 88 of Johnny's Curios and cannot seem to get past the last two Brutal challenges. Hell I broke down and looked up a guide and I've tried it this way and I do worse than my own way. I think I maybe losing hair doing this over and over again. I know I'll get there but GD this can get irritating!

Well I finally beat seventh seal I'm finally on to rulers of the outer world it should be fun to see how much effort I have to put in because I do want the gotterdamurung because there's a chance I want to revenge run all these BRUTALS with limit siphon. I have my criticisms of the brutal battles but I would like to thank you for your assistance there were a couple other people who helped me but you gave me the primary methods that I used thank you for that. Even if outer worlds is hard at least there's something to strive for

took me about 4 trys with your build kept loosing 8th rd but overall good build and easy strats too follow.

Oh wow I stand corrected this is actually ridiculously easy using this method. It did take me a couple of hours because of some bad luck, but I didn’t even need to use a summon to help

Thanks to you I finished it. Everything went super smooth, my only problem was that Sandworm eating me over and over again… don’t run from it, face it and if it casts devour, spam Yuffie ethereal form Towards It.scary, but it works.

Round 6 just kept going wrong for me. of the many times i ran it, constently i coulodnt get past it. Aerith would just keep chain dying before getting her arcane ward off. Once i broke the cycle i got beaten by round 8, but only had to beat that one and i knew everything was plain sailing. Thank You

Why did I not realise about the atk-mag materia for Tifa? Gonna see if I can do Rulers of the Outer Worlds even faster by swapping Tifa in for Cloud.

What situations would you want to use Mug or Steal? I have been using a Revive materia instead of Steal. It's saved me a few times.

For anyone struggling, keep trying, you'll get it eventually. For yuffie instead of mug i used revival, for tifa instead steadfast block >revival. Was useful. Another thing that helped me, always did the same stuff as in video plus 2-3 dodges and i always ran to the side of the arena with yuffie then haste and atb ward and usual strategy.

This was a bit trickier but still worked! Question, why did we leave in the Steal materia? I'm assuming that was for last run's Tonberry? Or is there some stat boost I'm not aware of

@Naztalgic_Memories I did it! Changed the shortcut, but I think it's my timing, so I mostly did it via menu, which is less effective, but I just persevered. I also changed the loadout slightly, I needed to be able to recover after being wormed, so I swapped out some mp/hp ups for both recovering and deal more damage. So even if both Aerith and Yuffie was gobbled up Tifa could get them back. Thanks a lot for an excellent guide!

I did Brutal 1 to 5 without Brumal Form method and they were some of the stress inducing and annoying fights in this game next to Legendary Bouts (especially Cait's, Barret's and Red's). Dark Claw / Gigaworm and two Gigantuars were the worst ones in this one ;w;

Nothing about this works for me. In the very first fight, the crab lands frog, the golem grabs one of my party members, and I immediately die. In round two, the try-hard goblin will sledgehammer Yuffie WHILE she’s spamming BF and eliminate her immediately, then destroy the remaining two teammates with guard crush since they have no more ATB assists from Yuffie. It’s over in literally seconds if I even make it to this round. I am level 70 with all materia mastered. I can get to round 6 by fighting as I would normally without such methods, but I can’t make it through round 2 with this method.

Aerith and Tifa REFUSE to cast spells in the Arcane Ward. Ive had Aerith come over to me in the ATB ward. I wish the character AI was better.

I've been trying this but Tifa won't get back her MPs when Aerith uses Blizzaga. Is there something I'm missing?

Second try only failed the first because yuffie got eaten. I see alot of people whining that this is 10 round and it takes 40 mins. I just did it in 5:20

I cannot get past the worm, and for some reason the shortcut (L1+X) isn't working for me. I don't know how the worm isn't swallowing your Yuffie? Is it just rng?

Alright... so after like 30 attempts I finally got this lol. Here is my advice to people that are struggling... You want to have a way to revive your teammates if they fall, so chuck these materia's and swap with *Revival Materia*. *Tifa* loses *Precision Defense Focus* (she's a caster, she doesn't need it) *Aerith* loses *Enemy Skill* (it's only 5% magic... you don't need it) *Yuffie* loses *Mug* (she never has a use for it) I died to *Round 8* Far TOO Many times because the worm would swallow Yuffie right off the bat while setting up. So for round 8... *1.* Have Aerith do ATB boost (don't do ATB Ward just yet on Yuffie) *2.* Switch to Yuffie and do ATB boost *3.* Yuffie will then cast STOP on the worm (so it stops swallowing you OVER and OVER and *OVER* at the start) *4.* Yuffie will cast Haste, then run over to the stopped worm and attack it (to build back ATB for Brumal Form) *5.* Aerith THEN casts ATB Ward on Yuffie, while the worm is still stopped (if you cast it earlier the ward might be on the other side of the arena where Yuffie runs to the worm from). After that continue as normal and everything falls fast. Also, if you don't have Brumal Form on a shortcut, you'll NEVER do it. If you're not a shortcut person... get acclimated with it. Also thank you Naz for the great Guide / Strat! It's also awesome because doing this prepares you for your guide for Rulers of the Outer Worlds.

I somehow beat Hellions intonement I have 3 magnify. Im scared to move on but ill try. I really just wanted to beat hellions because it annihilated my self esteem so with this i dont even mind. Ill try my old build then this one

Good strat but it relies solely on luck bc my guys keep getting drilled for big damage, stoned, turned into frogs, etc. And there's no heals

You can do everything perfectly and still get instantly killed by some of these. I was just minding my business doing brumal form, and those cactuars just needle rained all over Aerith and Tifa and killed them both lol

How did you keep tifa and Aerith from dying all the time??
