Yeah it was hard to really tell at first but upon a further look they are pretty moss covered. Swear I think that was a pelvis bone and the other coffin with the lid shifted. I’m glad to see you can’t really get inside so you can’t disturb the dead but being the curious soul I would love to be able to step inside that time capsule of a crypt. I suppose if you were skinny enough and didn’t mind the idea of the rust and spiders and had some great climbing prowess you could probably get past those doors and get inside.
BLESS your heart,Sue. Going through so much for us. The people that complain should buy you a better camera!!!! They don't appreciate what you are doing!!! They are the ones we take a dog's stance on... if you can't eat it or play with it and it doesn't make you happy....PISS ON IT AND WALK AWAY!!!
That was a beautiful graveyard and amazing mausoleum!! You never have apologize for the weather or the equipment. Your fans know you do your best each time you take on a cemetery adventure with you. Thanks to Irish Eyes too. Safe travels back home. 💜
Oh my goodness!Your work is wonderful!🥰It is a terrible shame that people can't keep away from plundering these beautiful monuments!Thank You I appreciate all that you do for us,the viewers!❤
This was amazing to see, thank you Sue. You never have to apologise to us for wind noise, or the bad weather as you do a terrific job. I have lived in Queensland Australia now for 50yrs after moving from London UK so this was special for me.. There is so much history attached to this man, here is a brief version. David Thompson Seymour, third son of Thomas & Matilda Margaret. Born Ballymore Castle, 5th Nov 183. Died London UK, 31st Jan 1916. Educated Ennis College Ireland. Served as Commissioner for Queensland Police 1864 - 1895. Established the original Detective Force here in Queensland in 1864. So many other achievements and improvements are owed to this man. Well done Sue and thank you again. Blessings 💕🇦🇺
Thank you for takin us with you. I really appreciate all the hard work you put into bringing these amazing scenes to us. I imagine that you put in a lot of time with research, as well. Thank you! Please take care!
Thanks Dallas Storm, its hard work, plus I've a full time job and family but I just adore it and of course all of you here, we have such a lovely family here ❤❤
@@SerenitySueGraveyards One of the reasons I love your channel is your sensitivity. Was on the chat when you spoke about anxiety issues, of which I have some experience. Very difficult. You present fascinating, very direct experiences in your videos, and you don't deserve negativity. Xx
Thanks hunny, I appreciate it, I need thicker skin but I'm sensitive not only to comments about me but to others too, it's part of me ❤❤ I'm so much better than I was though 👊
I normally turn the sound off and use subs, I have hearing problems which involves tinnitus, so please do be so harsh to judge others, they may well have this problem too, but like I said, I just watch with subs. Problem solved.
And again Sue a bloody great find. Never apologise about the sound, as you allways have have gone above and beyond to give us great footage, even in the old days, when only very few commented. How your page has grown Sue. I myself am very proud of your achievements and diligence, to bring us some of the best footage i have seen. xxx
Sue, I really appreciate how you get into tough positions to give us all a view into these mausoleums! I love the architecture and how the lichen looks also, great video!
New to your channel, American I am, but lived for quiet some time in Wales, love your videos, I'm so excited to binge watch, you've done a really beautiful job in taking us along so we can remember those who have passed, we'll done, special place for you, an absolute angel you are! Thank you!
Such a wide variety of gravestones - from the VERY old to more recent ones!! I especially loved the ones that have Celtic crosses!! I'm SOOOOOO glad that you made it up and down those crypt stairs safely, Sue!! I ALWAYS worry when you climb crumbling stone steps!! Thanks for this ABSOLUTELY FASCINATING video, my friend!! XXXX
Thanks Sue for a great adventure love the cemetery love the castle and the crypt definitely looked like a Egyptian design. It is disgraceful that people broke into the tomb in the 70s absolutely no respect.🙏🏻🇺🇸👮🏻♂️
Unusual mausoleum design for sure. Too bad they didn't restore the coffins more, but you got some amazing images from inside! Remember though:safety first. The worrier in me was seeing you up top there on that ledge! Nice work,Sue.
Not often you can see human remains in a mausoleum like that. A very interesting design. Also you do an excellent job with your equipment, don't take any of those comments about wind noise to heart.
Hi Sue! This video arrived (I believe the 'in' term is 'dropped') at 8:30am Saturday here. I'm guessing that with all the rain much of the soil in Ireland is saturated right now (it's been raining here too). That place is a remarkable find. It's like a Gothic pavilion with a crypt underneath, and that was an extraordinary view of the interior. As always I appreciate your efforts to bring us this content. 🇦🇺 🇮🇪
Aw Sue, please stop apologising…if other folk cant understand, then it’s their problem. You do drive such long distances to show us such fascinating places, not to mention all the research you do beforehand. If you were paid by the hour by each of us, THEN you might be able to afford top quality camera and recording equipment. But you do the very best you can with what you have, which is to be applauded, as they are just great! So to those who read this and do complain, stop and think of what Sue does for us,the results she gets, and please stop complaining! I for one am thrilled to travel Ireland with you and Irish Eyes from the comfort of my arm chair, and find the history You can share with us to be riveting. I especially loved your visit to that Fairy Glade cemetery,With graves dating back to 16/1700’s! And the stone masons work on some was amazing. (I’m hoping you may go back when the brambles die back???) however this was amazing, though sad to see those graves in the mausoleum looked to have been ransacked. They used place bodies in blue silk like fabric in lead coffins, which were then sealed, and placed in outer casing wooden coffins for appearances, so to me, all those graves looked to have been ransacked as I said. Surprised nothing was done when the door etc was repaired, as next time family go in they will be faced with all of that!!…no respect at all. Anyway, despite the wind, rain and whatever else God thought to throw down that day, I was riveted, and it was a nice touch to show photos of tge Castle etc . Well done Sue and Irish Eyes! I’m getting my suitcase packed ready for our next exciting adventure with you, and will look to see where I can make a petrol donation at least to help out. Love from Helen in England! 🙋♀️🥰💕💐💐👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🙏
Ahh wow thanks so much Helen, pleas God when my channel starts to pay a bit better I can go everywhere in Ireland, I'm doing my best at the moment to get to high gate cemetery and a few more hopefully but once again my car has played up and I need to sort that first, there is a gofundme page that you can donate if you can which is a huge help or there's a superchat during lives and premieres but having you here commenting helps the channel grow too, so thanks very much for your kind words, the encouragement pushes me on ❤❤
I think you do an awesome job with your videos. I feel bad when RU-vidrs say they are sorry for the wind. It’s not something you can control. I appreciate all you go through to bring us these amazing videos. Keep it up please!
The inside of the mausaleum was amazing, definitely a hip bone there. I hope Irish eyes had a tight grip in you as you balanced on that wall. Lovely little graveyard. Very sad that a few of the children died so young, but they were obviously loved very much. Blessings to you dear friend 💕
Do not apologize for the wind. It gives you the authentic feeling that you are there and the experienced felt. I appreciate it as these are places I will never be able to see. I thank you for sharing.
My first visit to your page. You did an amazing job of showing the mausoleum and sharing this story. The research of the family and the story behind the story is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Great job Serenity Sue! Appreciate the dedication and work you put in. Are you kidding? The wind noise and camera focus is nothing - anyone who's ever done video knows that. Ignore the naysayers -- 99% of the people enjoyed it - the other one percent are holed up somewhere living off their parents and whining. You do a terrific job - glad I found you and hope to see more of your work in the future. And I love the Irish brogue!
Ahh thanks Ralph, I need thicker skin, sorry for the rant, we live in Ireland and if I was to wait for a nice day I'd probably have a video once a month ❤❤❤ thanks
Hello Sue. Such beautiful land. The graveyard though small, is beautiful. I love that it sits by itself. That you can see there are no buildings, homes within eyesight of it. I admire your dedication and determination to show us the mausoleum and it's " occupants "😉. As i mentioned i enjoy checking out mausoleums myself. Not only do you show the beauty of cemeteries and graveyards, you show us the beauty of Ireland, to which i am jealous of you !!😉😉 Thanks for a great video Sue. Take care, stay safe and God bless.❤🙏
Hello Sue I just finished watching The Seymore Mausoleum and a couple other videos of yours. May I say I notice the love and thoughtfulness, effort you put into your craft. Thank you for taking me to places I probably will never see in person and bring history so beautifully to me.I live in the USA (Michigan) I learned about you from Faces of The Forgotten. Looking forward to more from you. God Bless you.
@@SerenitySueGraveyards as I do with our friend Ron no matter what I’m doing if I see a notification that you have posted something new I check it out right away. 😎
Wow! I've watched many of both your videos and GV's. I can't believe somebody, anybody would complain. the cemetaries, grave yards, area, the ruins, you show us are absolutely wonderful. I'll never be able to travel again, but I'd love to visit Ireland and see all that green for myself. watching both of your videos gives me a sense of peace. I for one appreciate you both.
Yet another beautiful video guys This one made me cry 😢 having lost 2 parents 10 days apart in 2 different countries The quote on the headstone “we walk beside you every day “ is something I very much associate with Bless you both and all who rest peacefully there especially the children Stay safe ❤❤
Thank you for sharing .. I once got into the Highgate west cemetery in the early 70s.. I was very skinny then .. there was a coffin in one of the mausoleums with bones hanging out .also a grave that had been dug up. I was stopped in my tracks by two dobermans and the watchman escorted me out ,, Went back years later for a guided tour .
What amazing place . The work that goes into those crips is outstanding. Sue you do such an awesome job bringing these places to us. Thank you so much. Enjoy going along with you. God bless.
Thank you so much for the tour of the beautiful cemetery, and your phone does an excellent job!, audio is good, you definitely cant help it if the wind blows!!, , thanks the for all of your hard work, stay safe and safe travels also. See you on the next adventure. 😊♥️🌻
Well , From what you have shown us , it looks as if possibly four people are interred in the mausoleum. At least two of the enclosures are damaged and open . A little spooky but considering the location you may wonder if visitors have come and gone over the years and possibly attempted to obtain entrance. Everybody says RIP but when it comes to any mausoleum I doubt that’s the case. Sue , your doing a wonderful job . Thank you. Paul, St Petersburg, Fl.
I could listen to you speak all & night, the accent is awesome. Love your wandering, chats & info. Thanks You do a wonderful job & anyone complaining about the audio should run & see if they could do a better job
Thanks again Sue the wind isn't a problem and dosent detract from the hard work you do to show us beautiful mausoleums and the headstones are not only unusual but the style is different to what we have in NZ really gorgeous god bless again thanks
Another wonderful video. I certainly appreciate all your hard work, time, and effort you & GV put into your videos. I’m slowly making my way through your video list & love all of them! Thank you for sharing Ireland & it’s forgotten graveyards with us. I’m sure the dead love to hear their names spoken aloud. God Bless both of you.❤❤
Wow that has really been built well that mouserlem thanks for sharing this video even the weather is bad bless you Sue you are marvelous ❤️ lovely grave stones lovely video sue take care rest in Peace to everyone who is buried in there 🙏💐 Wel done sue for looking in side of it 👍
What an adventure and what a find too..What you was seeing was the top of the coffin so it was the arms bent upwards and to the left you could see the skull.I hope these ghouls when went grave robbing got the shock of their lives. It’s rare, even the wealthy are buried with jewels so I cannot see why they think there’s money to be made in doing this.It looks like they have damaged each of the coffins in their search..If they found something I hope it did not bring them much luck. I appreciate what you do Sue .Unfortunately this side of the world the weather is unpredictable and there will be bad days where it affects the sound.Your doing a great job ..Love n Light 🥰
Sue, really appreciate all you do for us. Can we donate when you go live? This was such an interesting walk with you. Did you find out anything more about the Seymour Mausoleum?
All I found I put in the description box or over the video, I contacted someone but he never got back to me unfortunately but it was so beautiful to stand there in the presence of that mausoleum, yes if you can and if its something you'd like to do, during lives and premieres you can send a superchat or a supersticker, thanks Goldies, if I get anymore info I'll promise to pop it up ❤❤❤
Wonderful find Sue! Fascinating old coffins which look like coffins out of our old Bela Lugosi movies. Nice camera work you have to be a contortionist I guess to document these cemeteries.
Ahh thank you, let me tell you this my back hurts like mad after all these excursions but always worth the pain great description of those coffins too❤❤
I appreciate the dedication to your videos, Sue. Thank you for another adventure. Windy or not, you never disappoint! My husband’s ancestry is in Galway. Very cool to see something from there.
Hi Sue. I'm Ralph from Missouri USA. I'm new to y'all's channel. This was truly wonderful. I have ancestors from counties Cork and Down. Thank you for taking us a long for the ride.
Sue no need to apologise you can't control the wind and it is Ireland after all! It was an amazing place a nice graveyard too. Thanks for all the work you do. Take care.
As a country boy who lives in Alabama I'm really impressed by the beautiful cemeteries in your land. Wonderful work you do and amazing videos with your phone. Maybe there would be a go pro in your future? Thanks for sharing your story with us! Now back to Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne in "The Quiet Man!"
Wonderful video Sue. Isn't the little graveyard beautifully kept? I was amazed at how easy it is to read the inscriptions on most of the tombstones despite their age. Somebody is caring for those resting here. How awful that the mausoleum was desecrated. I can't understand the mentality of people who disturb the rest of the dead. How would they feel if somebody did that to the graves of those they love? Don't upset yourself over negative criticism. You don't owe them any explanation or even the courtesy of a reply. From old experience I will only offer criticism which is positive, benefits the recipient and leaves them the better for it and hopefully happier too. And of course you know you have a great big family of supporters here including me❤❤❤
Thank you Damien, I have since been able to upgrade my mic, thankfully, yes it's a beautiful little cemetery definitely someone caring for it, the mausoleum too is amazing but very sad that some low life would go in and damage the coffins and disrespect the dead, sick people 😢
I don't always take the time to comment. But I really enjoyed this! I am not surprised people are complaining about the sound; even though you've explained! Because people on these channels just LOVE to complain! I for one appreciate all the hard work that you put into these! And I am glad that you haven't let the haters slow you down! Thank you Sue! 🇺🇸 🇮🇪
Wouldn’t you think someone would have the respect to seal up the cript and having it blessed for the dead. The absence of a skull is worrying! Great channel thanks😇
You do a fantastic job! Also, I could listen to you speak all day ❤️. Thank you for the tour! It’s neat to be able to visit places that I may not know even exist or get to visit myself.
Easiest way to see the faded writing is to hold a flashlight on an angle sideways against the writing. We do it at our cemeteries that have sandstone headstones
GREAT GRAVEYARD AND LOCATION SUE , DON'T FRET ABOUT THE SOUND AND PICTURE , WE APPRECIATE YOU AND THE EFFORTS YOU PUT IN , KEEP DOING WHAT YOU CAN WITH WHAT YOU HAVE LUVVVV TAKE CARE 👌
@Serenity Sue, I've been following you from the start and never commented, you are the type of person you can talk to like best Friends... Good luck on your channel, from across the pond.. United States..
I think you do an amazing job Sue. I have always wanted to visit Ireland and I love trotting around graves but at 67 years old I don't know if I will get to see your lovely country. If you ever get to Western Australia you would be so welcome to stay in our home!
Thank you for showing this!keep up the wounderful job you are doing just cant keep up with the time from you to where im at.keep safe&waiting for your next trip you will be taking us on!
I hate to see Cemeteries long forgotten and abandoned, as In Irish Eyes video, New your house. Thanks for Sharing this amazing research The Two Babies Grave touched my Heart. 1889, Wow Beautiful Cross Headstone!
Thank you for sharing. It amazes me why anyone could break in to the graves. It’s a resting place. Not to be broken in to. Be safe sue and it’s been fine. Listening.
Well done i spend a lot of my time having a look at places like this it's so historical and interesting keep up the great work 👍 regarding the sound I've no problem with that
Very interesting in a morbid way, I had the chance to see the catacombs at the Brompton cemetery in London a few years ago, there was a open coffin with a woman with long hair in it, quite unsettling to see the poor lass. Love your videos keep them coming.
Wow, now I am a morbid kind of person, so for me to see the catacombs in Brompton would be fantastic... I'm hoping to go to High Gate cemetery sometime soon.
Thank you very much, for all your hard work and travel time Sue and Family. This was a great video, very interesting. That mausoleum was a great find! You mentioned that it was broken into back in the 1970's, Perhaps by someone looking for valuables, because the first coffin looked like it was possibly ransacked. Thank you very much again Sue, take care.
Thank you Sue for taking us on your adventures. I understand about the equipment, I love your videos so much. Your country is so beautiful. Please don't worry about those critical people, us faithful fans out number them anyways. ✌&❤ God Bless
Comment is a few months late but I've just come across your site. Thank you for taking us on your journeys, they are amazing, more than i could imagine, like a fairy tale. I'm saying this in absolute truth but since lve been a kid (now 75) the only place in our world I'd want to visit is Ireland. So full of history and beauty. I've subbed and thumbs up and look forward to catching up. 💕💕 from Calgary, Alberta Canada.
