It might be a bit late to comment on this game, however...I've only just started it and after a short while it gave me a huge confusion, once I realised how much is actually going on in this game (class combo and stuff reminded a bit of "Path of Exile"). It took me a good couple of days to scroll through guides and tutorials and none of them seemed to properly suit me at all, but this one... o.O I've always loves assassin builds, but somehow nowaday games seem to nerf it way at the start...but here i see an opportunity I've been waiting for...I guess i'll give it a go... sword and dagger are the best, sword skill puncture will inflict pain and massive impact perfect combo for opportunity strike.

Marble Morning Star + Zhorn's Hunting Backpack your build have Feather Dodge don't need Scaled Satchel

I know this video is old, but can't this build literally be broken, if instead of the brutal club you go with the new Maelstrom Blade (a confusion inflicting sword)? That would allow to replace Perfect Strike with Puncture, the latter sharing the same cooldown with Opportunist Strike, which would ALWAYS get the 4x damage every friggin' 10 SECONDS? This would also mean we can take Master of Motion and gain a bit of tankiness in the process, so better DPS AND Tankiness overall... Whaddya think lads?

You already have feather dodge you can use any backpack without disadvantage so no need scaled satchel.

I knew the dagger had potential, Im glad to see a build that works so well

Question: Is that Serpent's parry on your skill bar? If it is that means you took feather dodge which negates the slowness from backpacks when dodging so you don't need the scaled backpack. edit: Get rid of that backpack for a useful backpack. Whether it's the trader's backpack at 110%, the glowstone so you can ditch the lantern, or the hunter's backpack for the -10% stamina cost.

id like to see you take on the lich bosses with a melee build like this.

Woah, I just started a similar build! Rogue/Warrior Monk/Wild Hunter, with all the same skills from the trees we have in common, and the same armor set-up and dagger - though I use a 1h sword (endgame will be tsar). With war bow, you can use Piercing Shot to confuse an enemy and inflict extreme bleeding from afar at the same time, before they notice you. As they approach you, you can then inflict pain with either Perfect Strike or Puncture, and then opportunity stab for the 4x - and now they're both extreme bleeding /and/ extreme poisoned (if they even lived through all that). Plus, I think sword and dagger has a certain visual appeal. Anyway, neat video! Thanks for showing me a glimpse of what my end game will look like. You put out new content with obscene frequency, my friend. I think I'll go ahead and sub. :)

I think brand sword is a better option for melee weapon. It has 18 physical + 18 frost damage (36 base damage), which is already higher than this club, and can attack faster. The sword also inflicts chill and pain, which increases your frost damage and melee damage by 25%, respectively which gives a you total of a 45 fast hitting damage. You can also use the discipline boon, ice varnish and cool potions to increase your melee and frost damage, going up to ~70 damage(don't remember exactly). Also, the pain effect that the sword applies on your enemies also doubles the damage from your opportunity strike. The only downside is not having both confusion and pain at the same time, but you need two skills with a VERY high cooldown to get the pain status, so is not that big of a downside. Long story short: Brand is the equivalent of this club, but is stronger in every possible aspect Also, after playing with that build (it was the same as yours, but i had the stealth tree which gave me free rolling with backpacks and i used Brand), i didn't like it a lot. Stealth is really stupid in this game, because as soon as you go to a cavern, you can't see any fucking shit in front of you without a lantern, but that'll kill your stealth... Without a Cat's eye-like skill from skyrim, stealth is not that good in this game, because most of the time you won't have use for it. 80% of my backstabs i got after my enemy made a bad move.

Pearl Bird Mask + Merchant set is a better synergies in my opinion.

Id like to see a mage build.. maybe spell combos and if they mix across disciplines? Im a new player.. just unlocked magic and bought the runes from berg.. but seeing a mage playstyle or spell stratefies would be helpful

doesn't the feather Dodge perk from the rouge tree automatically give you dodge unimpeded even when wearing a backpack so having the scaled back pack shouldn't matter :P

i found sword is best pair for dagger. the combo ended with side attack then u can execute backstab.imho

In my opinion, Back-stab is a OP ability and a good one at that. I recommend it in everyones build in case of situations where you have a chance to deal damage behind someone then kill them the rest of the way. It's just way more efficient that way with the ability and kind of hinders your target.

I suggest you use a mealstrom blade on this build. It inflicts confusion, and because it is a sword you can inflict pain with the sword skill puncture strike. It is a late game item, I know, but defenitely worth checking out.

You used it around the 5 minutes 30 seconds mark in this video.. where did you get that ability from? Which Merchant did you buy it from?

Can you demonstrate boss fights with this build? Would love to see them get demolished. btw, you can backstab enemies when they are stunned by serpents parry.

for the pain/confusion effect I use the handcannon(not sure of the name) with the first bullet type you get from the mercenary trainer so you get both affliction for one shot and it only cost 1iron scrap.

Oh. I don't know if you and other people know but your skills take a lot more durability off your weapon than simply hitting mobs. Flash takes 10 durability per mob and I think it hits 2 mobs max. Predator leap takes off 24 or 30, not sure so I'll test it more. Perfect strike takes off 16. Haven't tested the daggers get.

So, that ABILITY with the red claw marks coming out of the head and chest of the character is called "Enrage"? OKAY, now that I know what it's called, where did you purchase that ABILITY from Tasty Penguin🐧? Where did you get it from in Outward? What Merchant?

What's that move where you turn invisible and then they die?

Why do you use spell of mana for example Conjure

I use manticore dagger with tuanosaur axe, use the backstab, make the attack with the axe that inflicts pain, then the oportunistic stab and the normal heavy attack of the axe that makes 3 strikes, this works great even against golems and enemies that resist bleeding and poison, i am currently exploring and have ignored the main quest for a while. I do not know what armor should be good for that one, any tips?

Have you done the lavant quest line it gives you a solid potion it’s 15% all damage and 20 to manna hp stam

How'd you do invisibility?

Hey tasty Penguin 🐧where did you get the Flash Onslaught and Backstab abilities from? Was it from the same area that you acquired the Enrage ability for your character? What about Perfect Strike? And Serpent's party was it? Where did you get those two green reptilian symbol ones? There's Serpent's Dagger or Parry? Uh, I don't remember it's exact name and another ability that looks kind of like its represented by a green water Dragon 🐉 or some glowing green river!

nice ... i really like your build videos ... but you should do some builds without flash onslaught and perfect strike .. i dont wanna insult, but you have them in seemingly every build ... ive made one with spellblade, monk, philosopher and shaman ... and im using the soul lantern as offhand with flame thrower, seal of fire, warmth, infuse with fire, that focus block, that block with a club wich steals the element its blocking, and the spell wich shoots out the infusion of your weapon ... so you got infinite flame thrower ammo from the soul lamp ... and you can inflict massive amounts of fire dmg with the buffs and the fire weapon ... and you can steal the element of your enemys and shoot it back .. also beeing nice is that you have options for range, mid range, and close combat with this build ... and since i use it i never got problems with stamina or mana cause you have the mana reg passive, so if the fights drag out for longer or there are many enemy following you you can get some ranged attacks with your mana then block and fight with your stamina then back out and use mana again :D think you should give a try to something like this ...

How do you apply confusion in combat?

why did you take a no penalty backpack , when you already have the no penalty backpack passive from the assasin skill tree? wtf? 0 IQ?

How does this build stack up to boss creatures like the liches? I'm curious to see how fast it can take one of them down. My elemental weapon build didn't hold up too well against the plague doctor, yet it completely wrecks everything else. It was the long range fighting style the lich uses that messed me up, but I plan on adjusting some equipment around and attempting him again soon.

TOOL TIP on Perfect strike says it applies Pain, but with that attack, does it ALSO apply confusion since it's in you main weapon? Or do you have to auto attack first, then use Perfect strike to apply both debuffs?

In the fight at 9:12 how did you did the E ability and later on did the quickslot nr 1 ability if both require the Discipline boom to be active, yet once you do one of the abilities it consumes the boon? At least it happens to me.

9:00 after killing everyone and sharpening his skills he learned the ultimate Assassin skill because invincible.

Besides the obvious ( equipping a better backpack because you have the Rogue skill tree passive ) I'd say to use a sword as your main weapon. Maybe the assassin's sword for slowdown and bleed, that seems much more assassin-y.

did this get nerfed?

I miss about 90% of the time when I try to use "Perfect Strike". I can't figure out why. I'm close and I have the target selected. Very frustrating.

Heya Mr.Penguin - As a Spellsword focused character, (1 handed sword no shield) what other magic compliments this style?

Using the Rogue skill Sweeping Kick inflicts confusion and using the coral bow for pain/warbow can also do confusion. So swapping between bow and dagger only is my favorite playstyle

Not sure if you left this is anywhere in the video (I couldn't find it), but what are your final hp,mana, stamina stats?

Where did you get the mask?

I always rush for the 110 backpack, I somehow always have like minimum 75 pounds of shit i carry around.... I hate going back to town

how doessplit scree coop work on a story mode?

You should try crimson set with ice artifact mace and the Obsidian flintlock. Fire and ice make a great combo. Base this set up get you 12 physical and 55 ice damage with the mace and you can ignite enemies at range with the flintlock so you have an advantage against tougher enemies and it helps with wendingo and ice witch, who are ice resistant or immune. Then on reverse the obsidian constructs and burning men are weak to ice but immune to fire.

My specs are more than enough but I still experience stutter in this game.

Love the build but that's rather a "Monk" than a "shadow" assassin :)
