Captivating walk-through. I'm posting before you read from the guidebook because I wanted to share that regardless of what's in the book, your descriptions are powerful, connecting and meaningful. I realize you've been working with tarot for years and you've worked with a lot of decks and that's honed your skills, it's still a gift to be able to pull such deep meanings from a few seconds looking at a new deck. Like with the 10 of cups, seeing the crab and paint cans on the beach as "we're seeing things that look nice / pretty on the surface, but what are we not noticing?" I paused the video to look at that card and was like, "wtf? a crab and paint cans?" Your descriptions are compulsively listenable. Have you considered working with an artist to develop a deck and write a guidebook? Or developing a tarot course?

Aw thank you! That cloth is a HUGE realistic moon in a starry sky background and the reverse side is an equally huge SUN :) One of Peggy's recent goodies LOL

The 5 of Pentacles looks like Bigfoot looking on to me. The 6 of swords as Nellie the Loch Ness monster. I fell in love with Monica Bodirsky's art style, I went right to her website and ordered he House of Shadows oracle lenormand deck- 3rd edition. It is also wonderful to work with. I wish I could find a copy of her Lucky Lenormand deck. :) :) :) Your walkthroughs are just fantastic.

I adore this deck and the book is amazing! I received this deck back in February....how you ask? The distributor in California had started shipping decks, I am assuming they were not looking at the release date. Monica Bodirsky reached out and was concerned that I had received a counterfeit deck. Nope! She got a hold of the distributor and stopped the early sending. Regardless of all of that - I am pleased with its voice.

Ok this is pretty wonderful! It almost feels like if a version of a deck like the Monstarot was created specifically for shadow work and I LOVE how much the images really get at the shadow meaning of each card. I am quite excited about this one! And your thoughts and observations in the walkthrough were so astute, thank you for this! 💖💖💖 (those creepy Ring ladies aaahhh 😱)

Thank you for your review. The book looks great. Lots of information about cards and spreads. I do not like 'children-art' for a shadow work but I also use Nicoletta Ceccoli deck:) The price is quite high in UK: £46.79 (Amazon pre-order)... but I am a 'tarot-addict' so I would buy it.

Thanks so much for the review! I normally don't like "cartoony" style decks, but this one has just enough weirdness to peak my interest. I've never worked with a shadow deck before and I may consider this one. I think it would be fun to use around Halloween time.

Thanks for the reveal. I have this on preorder. I love the box presentation Red Feather does. The only thing I would do to improve it is to have the deck in its own box. Even a tuck box. Don’t like the cards flying about when opened. Cheers. ❤️

I think i might actually get this deck. Im not into "child like" artwork, but its done really well. I love watercolour and ink line work. The images do give lots to play with as far as the shadow aspects. ..any yay! Not sticky glossy cards-would have like to see how they riffle bridge though🙄thanks!

Oooh I'd love to see more about your dark moon readings with the dark goddess tarot if you're happy to share? So happy to see you back and to hear about all of the fun you had at the NWTS in the last vid. 😊 Xx oooh adding an edit as I watch so apologies if you mention this later in the vid but I was wondering if you would use this deck for exclusively shadow work readings or would you use it as you would any other deck? I didn't think I liked this one but I have to say the artwork is really growing on me now. I'm a sucker for gilding too 😬 🤣 Xx

For me, like the Deviant Moon, I think that you CAN use it for any readings - but the visuals and guidebook are going to nudge you more to the shadow than light side of the meanings, I think. I, personally, think I MAY gravitate towards reaching for it when I want to dive into shadow work mostly - that said, I haven't really taken it for a test-drive for a week yet! LOL

Oh no 😭 I'm literally crying. I'll have to cancel my pre-order on this deck and I was so genuinely excited about it and was waiting for it to come out. But wtf with so thick card stock?! 🤯 I won't be able to hold it in one hand, let alone shuffle it in any way. I'm so angry you can't even imagine 😡

Oh no! :( I'm so sorry!!! It was a bit stiff to shuffle especially with the gilding. I don't mind it but I could definitely see it being difficult for those with smaller hands or who like a thinner/more bendy stock!

The cardstock isn't even that thick, besides if it's thicker it indicates it's better quality. I usually only buy independent decks and they tend to be 350gsm so I usually just overhand shuffle anyway. I'm sure if you like the deck the cardstock will not be a problem.

@@lordvisserys9187 That is absolutely untrue. I have only one pair of hands and they can't hold thick card stock, it's physically not possible. For the same reason I can't wear clothes size 0 - physically not possible. Thick card stock is not a sigh for quality whatsoever. What do you know about card production? This is how the 350 gsm nonsense came around, people not knowing what "quality" is and mistaking personal preference with universal quality standards in cards production.

@@Lisa_Papez It really doesn't matter what I like because I can't handle the deck physically. This terrible trend of thick card stock is worrying me, especially since it arrived in the mass market production. I already stopped buying most independent decks. Imagine if every store starts to sell clothes in size 0 only. I don't know for you, but I simply can't fit in no matter what. I will be honest with you. A more fair, well balanced view and reporting on card stock will be much more helpful than any sorry.

@@fireoftransformation9826 Thicker cardstock lasts much longer and is much more expensive, so yes it's better quality. I highly doubt that you can't hold the cards in your hands I'm literally 5'2 and have tiny hands, but I've never had an issue overhand shuffling my thicker decks. Besides this deck isn't close to 350gsm, I can't understand why you would be angry for better material being used. Sure with thicker cardstock you do sacrifice the ease in which you can shuffle; however if that means my cards aren't going to bend and bow from shuffling it three times then it's well worth it.
