I thought it was time for another Shadows song !
“The Shady Lady” was the “B” side to “Theme from Missing” released in 1982.
It only appears on a couple of their albums - which I didn’t have so instead I showed Ian McCutcheon’s work out 15 album on the Video which I used as the backing for my recording.

Played on my Fender 56 NOS Custom Stratocaster fitted with Kinman Impersonator 54 v3 pickups on Bridge position through an Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with EFTP patch 0-37
I made Tabs out of my arrangement which are FREE to download here :-

For those who know the song you will notice I have left off the ending that The Shadows did.
I spent a long time making the Tabs and I had completely filled the Tab page, by which time I had had enough so I modified the ending to suit.
Sound recorded in Cubase SX6 and edited with the three 4K Video takes made with 3 Panasonic VX870 4K camcorders in Song Vegas Pro 14

Hello Phil. I misread the title and thought at first this would be "She's a Lady" by Tom Jones, but then I've seen, it's a Shadows tune, that I didn't know so far. Hi Ian - I was aware of the song as Bill had played it in 2019 but it's not in my collection which I am a bit peeved about! LOL But there are a few posting of the original on YT which allowed me to learn the song - typical Hank song 3 min to play.... 2 days to work out what he's playing and Tab it !! I've never heard this one before Phil, "the Shady Lady"& l'm a true shad's fan but I really liked it thank you Phil.l'm going to be cheeky now can you possibly play "seasons in the sun" by (Terry jack's) for me I heard it last week for the first time & thought that is nice.Don't worry if you don't want to do it.thank you Phil.

Good Wed Morn Phil, well it was not past my waking time but I couldn't comment as I was engrossed in a western on YT and so here I am listening to " The Shady Lady ". The intro made me think the tune would be fast paced one but turned out to be a lilting one. You did a brilliant job with the playing and the sound on the 56 nos. Strat and was joy to listen to. Great job! I'm always amazed by your timing I think that's the hardest part about guitar for the longest time I used to get the shadows mixed up with the ventures but the more you listen to both of them there's a lot of difference

Hi RS - In the early days of the 60's you weren't allowed to like the Rolling stones and the Beatles ! LOL !! The same thing happened with the Shadows and the Ventures - so I had 2 Ventures alums but all the Shadows ones.. Hi Ken Yes indeed the start is the Shadows !! Hank plays it better than me LOL !! The Tabs took me 2 days to work out ! so I didn't want to to spend another 2 days practicing a 15 second riff LOL, You Ken are the best Hank player out there,,, Guitarist know other guitarist talent and we all know !!
