I make mistakes though and I truly mean my apologies, it’s strange cuz I usually hear nothing again.. which is why I do. If I can admit and say what happened but they won’t take any accountability. They need my forgiveness I won’t keep helping them cuz enabling lack of accountability is not something you do for a soul you love. It’s hard.. but to forgive is grace. And when people won’t forgive, it’s gonna bother them, probably not the other person. Hard feelings never do us any good
They do feel the shame. That's why they fight so hard to hide it, suppress it, and deflect anything that highlights it. They are deeply sad individuals.

In my personal experience, people don't apologise, unless this comment says something about the people I engage or engaged with. Confronting them about wrongdoing can lead to gaslighting. Others just stop speaking for a long time, then suddenly start speaking to you as if nothing has happened, destroying or damaging trust and respect.
I had three different guys apologize to me. What I thought to myself? They were wrong for what they said or did to me. Was uncalled and unprovoked. At least they had some Conscious. I didn't respond back ..I kept quiet.. These were personal apologies not over the phone. I will never forget or forgive what one of this guys did to me. He apologized twice. The last time he did it in front of other people. He said he was wrong for what he did to me. And that even though I do not talk to him or I refuse to acknowledge him. He felt to apologize once again. Karma is a Bitch. And I'm glad he is behind bars. Someone told me So many people had done bad things ...but I know Their Day will Come.... I know what I mean.

They end up taking u for granted for just being that person who is easy to deal with , they don’t register things normally they see people as prey

I’m a pathology scientist and I work in a busy hospital. I don’t believe these people face shame. It truly believe if a person behaved this way most of their life, it’s normal to them that they don’t even reflect on what they did to you. It’s also because it’s not physiologically possible their brains don’t operate like that. In order for someone to feel same they have to have a functioning pre frontal cortex which they don’t have. They operate in their reptilian and limbic parts of the brain which is primitive also keeps them stuck in an always have to win mindset. Leaving no time to reflect, it’s always “me first” to them. They neurologically can’t function any other way it’s not physiologically possible They don’t suffer unless they’re alone and have no one to project on I guess, but truly people forget what they do to people less than an hour after they do it. They go on with life as if nothing happened. It is us that suffer the pain of what they did.
I agree. Most people don't understand that not all of us have the same brain structure with the amygdala, hippocampus and hormone secretions all alike. Consciousness does not automatically endow a person with a conscience. Indeed, serial abusers do what they do without a thought of the victims they leave behind to figure it all out. They will never face the wrongs they do to others. Can't, in many cases. We all need to know the signs and steer well clear of those people.
There was a woman at my former employment that was a “spy” for management, and she’d follow me into the bathroom, follow me out at job sites when doing field work, and would watch my desk in the morning to see what time I was coming in in the morning. I remember a few times coming up to a group of women that she was in ; while everyone else in the group was friendly, Ms. Tattletale couldn’t look me in the eye. She frowned and looked away. This was a horribly toxic workplace that I’d love to write a book about one day.
Shame for wrongdoings is only felt by people with a conscience. People without will, through the use of mental gymnastics, justify what they did to you.

In Arabic culture, forgiveness is only granted when the wrong doer has asked you for it. You don't just offer it to someone who never asked. The onus is on them, not you. You can let go of your anger or work through the trauma, but you are under no obligation to forgive them.
Betrayal has happened to me by a family member over inheritance. I confronted her with evidence and she started getting upset being aggressive to me. We haven't spoke to each other for over 6 years because I know the truth and she knows that so it's all on her to be accountable for her wrong doing. The door is open for forgiveness if only she learns her lesson and be accountable. This video has been great help to me thank you.
My own mother destroyed my relationship with my siblings and son, not to mention grand babies. She has been forgiven. I am a child of the most high God ❤

Don’t think that Christians don’t do stupid things and know exactly what they are doing? The worst I’ve been wronged and lied to was by an ordained ministers . One was just a paper minister who was my husband so he could officiate and marry people but the other was in a very well respected and affluent church when he was much younger and we were in a relationship for a few years and he literally crushed me with his lies and deceit. I know because I saw pictures of him marring a couple that was in a Newspaper clipping he had saved. People are going to do what they want to do despite what they know is right or wrong. There are plenty of wolves in sheep’s clothing.

I forgave. I am proud. It isn't easy, but it's necessary, especially if you want to grow. If you want to be a bigger person than the person who wronged you. If you want freedom from what wrongs have been done. You have to forgive. Fair/unfair earned/unearned, forgive and forget. Heal and grow. Mature and learn. You will thank yourself.
Hi Veronica, forgiveness is for you, to help you move on and to have your vibration raised by Jesus. If they know they have wronged you and have not apologised then most likely it would be best to distance yourself from them if there is no accountability on their end. I have done this and it genuinely helps with my spiritual development and I also keep them out of my life, firmly out.
Forgiveness is healing they say in Eastern churches. Those who don't want to be free from guilt don't want true forgiveness and one doesn't have to pretend to give it.
Often people ate led by cruel others to do damage to you. Gangs psrticipate in this. I have been apologized to by people who caused terrible consequences to me because they go caught up in group think. One person damage is another thing.
Honestly, I think the shame people feel after mistreating others is a sign that karma really does its job. It’s ironic how they realize the impact of their actions only when it's too late to fix things. Maybe instead of avoiding us, they should channel that guilt into becoming better people-but hey, sometimes the most valuable lessons come from facing the consequences of your own behavior.

I’ve heard gossip about someone , and I didn’t only stopped it debut I went to the person and elegantly told them to support his statements him and the rest only tried to make me join them vs this x person. The gossiping always starts “they say this about him/her “ it’s never I’ve seen him I always a third person who you ca t confront and ask them about the situation

It wouldn’t bring you peace. I’m in therapy because of my family made me angry because my father beat me and my mother. Both my mother and father talked shit about eachother so I couldn’t understand who to trust. They will never apologize for what they did to me. What it caused me to become… I’m now going through therapy to heal and move on…
the 'self-imposed exile' is the exact description of why people go no contact, but this video frames it as the exiled being the perpetrator instead of the victim.
Sadly, the ones that have wronged me continue to do so. On a roll! 3+ solid years. Lacking any awareness of themselves, let alone their victim. Even if they were to stop, I do not believe that they are even competent enough to have such realizations of self. So shallow that they don't see anything wrong with what they've done. No remorse required if they don't assign and recognize any wrongdoing. It would be nice if this were to happen. If what they've done to me could evoke any real human feelings.
its really sad we live in a world full of broken and narc people not many people realise this but as a society they have also conditioned us into accepting that self love is more important than being considerate, respectful and kind to others and their feelings. This is why the behaviour of self love teaches the person to have entitlement and a choice to be lacking awareness of what they do to others and this is extremely harmful.
It’s why they run and hang with those who do nothing to grow and improve themselves. Who’s their victim now? Some never wake up and shame and accuse everyone else, it’s nice for them to be exposed but they seem to slander others and hide their own wrongs
It was a real blow when I had to cut my only two ties to family---both sisters. At the same time, I had cut all my connections to so-called friends and neighbors since they were ALL ON THE PAYROLL of the local gang-stalking cops. My sisters had split my Mom's veteran's benefits between them; they are not veterans but I am. All of these have tried to reconnect with me, family, "friends," and "neighbors." I am very forgiving but all of these negative influences will never be part of my life again. So what if they find me mummified at home alone, with my face half-chewed off by my puppy. I think they do feel regret, pain or other emotions as narcissists. It seems that people who are high in narcissism often redirect their negative emotions, or insert them onto others in a different circumstances. Like small, petty revenges for calling them out when justified or asking questions that make them uncomfortable. Like standing up at the end of a card game and declaring slightly early that you are tired. Instead of acknowledging the upcoming conclusion, the momentum of the jubilant nature becomes the justification for difference between saying tired at 2 turns before conclusion and 3 turns before conclusion. Not internalizing their negative emotion through "empathy" in these moments sounds difficult... Diffi-cult. Maybe, there is a missed oppertunity to defy instead of deify a temporary 'cult'.

So that's how a habitual abusers turns the tables on an innocent victim and habitual abusers will never feel this shame, but if they can get their victim to feel this shame and manipulate them into feeling they are the guilty one, thats some powerful S***. And I hope they understand that when I no longer have interest in continuing down this sick path with them. I don't wish ill of them and I do forgive their actions... As an empath i sensed my exboss and my backstabbing coworker felt this way after she shared our private chats to him and he screwed me over due to a personal chage. I hope they're both happy with what they did, thank God i sensed it.

In my experience, where drugs (meth/ice) are concerned, there is no self reflection until the drug addiction ends. With family members, the damage that can be inflicted to members who genuinely want to help initially can be almost (but not always) impossible to reverse.
Narcissists have shame, they don't show it and they do their best to make sure you don't notice it. only if you're very psychologically perceptive, you'll notice it in the body language, facial expressions, dialog responses, length of interaction, ability to initiate, etc.

Yes, I survived Childhood Abuse and Something else, years later, and I only wanted to know if my Mom loved me! I forgave 1st, every single time, and after she passed, I found out what she and my Oldest Sibling did to my Younger Brother and myself. A few years later, U learned my Younger Sibling was a part of some other Shady things my Mom allowed to happen. I never got Mad, it just sucks, the Amount of Pain and Heartbreak she caused.
You know you’ve healed from their mistreatment when you can let go of the resentment and anger and vengeance and see them through the lens of compassion and forgiveness because you are loved by God and He has forgiven you and He shows you why it’s so important to forgive those that wronged you. It’s for your own benefit.
You are not obliged to forgive those who don't ask for your forgiveness . They just don't care . Time will heal your wounds and reduce pain , but you have a right not to forgive and remember your lesson.

Narcissists just couldn't care less. They enjoy causing drama and hurt. And when they've done it, they don't look back. I've suffered at the the hands of too many of these individuals. I'm extremely selective of friends now.
They took me and especially Him Lord Jesus Christ for granted. Yes it hurts sometimes and it still does when being caught with my guard down but it hurts less and less because Jesus Christ is in my heart. Still I keep asking Him for His forgivenes while I sometimes forget that He does it when He sees that you are trying hard to be as good as possible in life with repenting and use His knowledge that He gave for us to use. So I give Him praise every moment and my thanks to Him for being there for me, us. They can see and feel something in and around me what makes them act hostile with a lot of unrest within them..He, Jesus, gave some of us this gift to recognice danger and to forgive in life to the ones who still struggle to free themselfs. A lot of them lack the strenght of Love and knowledge. I was like that...but I opened up for The Love of Christ and I thank Him and His Father God allmighty for being there all the time. I'm proud for carrying just a tiny part of His heavy load and yes it hurts sometimes but man.. does He makes me stronger in this life, thank you❤

wow. this is so real! sounds like the majority of people in my life and everyone ive put out of my life so far. also i have to admit that those he is talking about was me at one time. i was scarred by narcissistic people even in my own family. since ive found Jesus and He has found me i was led to reckon with these things within my own self. i can say now that ive finally been set free truly. ive been in and out of church my whole life. here i stand at 38. saved since 2015. but just recently come to so many realizations spiritually and worldly. and i was led to this great bit of wisdom on this day. thank you and may anyone who comes here receive this wonderful message and heed it and may those who read this comment and other positive ones be truly blessed by our Father of lights!! ❤❤
Yes and remember to stay away. You are not forced to rekindle or reconcile with anyone even if they are family. That does not mean you do not forgive and pray for them, but you have no obligation to be in the presence of people like this. ❤
Something like this happend with my co-worker. While not a big thing in a grand scheme of things, I felt I was wronged. I still do my job with my co-worker, but the genuine feeling of connection has been severed. There is nothing left to say, aside from a simple apology for being inconsiderate.
I don’t often reply to comments, but I have also gotten along with a co-worker as we worked in the same department. Regarding people skills, I have never been great with people for different reasons. The best thing I can hope for in life is that my people skills will improve, conversations will become more interesting and longer, and maybe I will go to events. However, at this time, I am not socializing. I have a colleague whom I admire, but I have noticed her demeanor: envy when seeing other female colleagues being better treated by Mr. Alpha Kennedy (the Manager). Her comments about her female colleague trying to be Mr. Kennedy's friend reveal she has feelings for him. It's gut-wrenching because I might have feelings for her. But for many reasons, she's already spoken for, and I need to respect that and move on. To see women fight for an alpha male's attention is harrowing; there's a sadness that comes with it, seeing this colleague downgrade her worth for the poorer currency of external validation. She has really helped me and has been generous. The problem is she got caught up in this war with the other female colleague, not realizing she has not been authentic in how she treated me because as soon as Mr. Kennedy becomes available, she forgot about me. It leaves these past gestures inconsistent. Mr. Kennedy had made an offensive gesture to insult her origin, but I think I've already mentioned why she never did anything about it or report this . If my people skills and reading the situation were better back then, i would have set boundaries to prevent any complications. But I didn’t, because of my challenging life circumstances at home , which have caught me up. Everyone has problems. I think there is too much break-up culture in music videos (conflicting and hostile), and all RU-vid stoic philosophies and how "High Value Men" walk away, and yet there are not enough natural relationship-resolving videos. There are exceptions when it comes to certain difficult personality types, like sociopaths and narcissistic behavior. It would be beneficial to get a test so people with these traits can learn to rewire and heal their demeanors. Going back to the colleague, she deserves to have free counseling to help her learn to value herself and improve communication so her life would improve. We all could do with therapy sessions since I also am battling demons, but at times she has volatile emotions, and I have yet to see if there is much worse in her. I don't want her and me to split up, but there's no chance I will be around to see her get on with her dream friend, Mr. Kennedy. I know that any hope of a special friendship would dissolve, but I remember how she was when I first met her years ago. What she is today shows that life can shred the integrity of the best people. I hope she can get her integrity back.
I once had somehow wronged a co-worker, verbally, I am autistic, so that is possible. The coworker who I thought of as a friend, just ignored me. Another co-worker confirmed there was "a problem". When I tried to confront the coworker concerned to ask if there was a problem, she walked away.

It’s awful when you consider someone more than just a worker. People want their space, and without that, they might escape by cutting off completely to breathe. I have always been a person of solitude, and my routine at work used to be almost restrictive. My colleague would change things up and might decide she didn’t need me. I had to learn to give space and pretend that my colleague was me, which seems mad, but at the same time, I didn’t want to come across as isolating. You might get that right. I know that there are videos about knowing your worth without external validation because it helps everyone. I know that being in tune with what you want is crucial, but at work, people just want to do their job with interactions that only go a couple of levels-banter or life events, but not more than that. This is because any deeper level risks confidentiality. A workplace can be treacherous when it comes to information. If someone sees two people get along, such as male and female workers, it can stir up gossip. You have to leave your colleague to themselves and I can’t assume. You say colleague, so you obviously must not know them well enough. At no fault of yours or theirs, you both might lack certain traits, and a simple misunderstanding can cause a rift. There are people who come and go, and there is a friendship vibe when it's between men and women, but they always disintegrate as it's a fast-sand built foundation, and we know how sand collapses. For example, in the first month I worked with my colleague, I came in, and she was angry and dismissive. I literally just let her be and did my own thing. I remember that my rota was on an evening shift away from her morning shift, and she thought I was leaving the department after just one month. I had nothing to do with the rota; it went on default. Then I realized why she was angry. You just have to learn. Maybe keep a diary or journal on how you felt, what day it was, the time, and sometimes who was in management. People have bad days, and if they’re in a relationship, which is very difficult for anyone, they have good and bad daysl, and you have to respect that with discretion. Please not take this infomation as the main answer, there are plenty of people with what you going through will have different advice Don’t over-invest in this being a friendship. That takes years. Even then, there’s no guarantee. Just be your best self and keep improving.
If you do or say something wrong to somone through ignorance or wanting to protect a persons image but then it bothers you afterwards shows that you have a conscience which is a good thing but if you not bothered at all about your wrongdoing then thats something you will have to work on to set you on the right path forgiving yourself and others always the key to inner peace ❤❤❤
Those people definitely realise their scattered self image and crisis of their own identity. My role is to stand as a reminder of the importance of living with integrity of being true to oneself in the world.

Once I outed and went no contact with my narc family I got a brilliant new lease for life I could finally be me Then I went into a new group of narcs but called them out straight away and went no contact I just have to go back sometimes to show them how strong I am and how little I need them Independence is hard fought hard lost They say it's better to be in solitary confinement than with abusers Its so true scary but so character building Never stop loving yourself others life because that is worth fighting for😎
In my twenties I was describing the bastardry of someone I worked with a wise older bloke. What he told me really stuck with me. He said "Do you know the difference between 'a bastard' and an 'utter bastard'? He said "a bastard uses you cruelly and then betrays you for his own benefit - and when you see him in the street he'll put his head down and ignore you. An UTTER bastard uses you cruelly and then betrays you for his own benefit - and when you see him in the street - he'll walk up to you and ask you "how's you mum?". Since then I have realized that most folks who are bastards are sadly, UTTER bastards.
Amongst all the confusion, I greatly felt there was a lot of things that didn’t make sense in my relationship….. Honestly with authenticity was my code…. This video put the words together beautifully…. And assures me to stay authentic and true to myself ….. In the end … I was dealing with a narcissist.
I doubt this person will ever face themselves or me with shame or regret. The truth is that there are people out there that don’t feel much of anything with depth. They don’t love to the point of feeling of vulnerability, they don’t hurt because they’ve always stayed surface level. The only time they feel something is when they don’t feel in control and that’s not a feeling of love. When they refuse to let go of control the only thing they are reaching and stretching for is more power over a person. Don’t count on these types of people for feeling anything because most of the time they will never overcome their cowardice.
Truth & love people. Forgive and set boundaries rebuke and beware we are all sinners and need Jesus, love, & compassion. Love others as you love yourself.
I think forgiveness is implied for anyone having done wrong to you, but you dont retaliate. You dont have to like them, be near them or talk to them. Just walk away.
Public or environmental shame is applicable with a society of moral. If the society does not value ethics and moral, the person who mistreats someone will not feel that guilt or shame.
Rising above is the only way through it and by doing that you get to work on yourself and come back even stronger and resilient. Then there is no need for revenge or harsh words. Just leave them behind.
