The fact that his hair is pink could also be because his dad could be red haired shanks ( the infamous yonko pirate) but he chose to become a marine ( a soldier in white) showing his roots and the path he chose

In One Piece, have we seen the trope wherein an event of great stress causes someone's hair to lose pigment? The only "debunk" I can think of: Uta had all red hair until half turned white from the stress of whatever put her in that chest. At this point, I'm starting to question whether 'discovered in a treasure chest' -- is Oda's version of 'the baby was delivered by stork.'

that is a lit fact, but to be honest I have something to share ,about observation haki that if you use it with conquerer haki you can nullify others observation at the same time you can also look into the far future depends on the level of haki like dark king rayleigh who looks like activating haki all the time

Koby (or someone) is the child of a hidden backup prince (not the backup prince themselves), born from a secret pregnancy. 🤷🏻‍♀️

i dont think he knows! if this is true atleast and in the episode they showed the marineford moment, and somewhere they were saying i wonder what connection they have, but then koby said its just a coincidence, they werent really talking about marineford. but something does make them both similar. i forgot to highlight the point that koby's observation haki is insane

yeah they said in a more full quote "the encounter in marineford and now this, there's certainly some kind of tie between you and red hair" so they mentioned marineford already and used that to emphasize the alluded tie. and koby brushed it aside by saying it was a coincidence. but meanwhile they were staring at uta, listening to her music, and wondering why shanks and uta were connected and now this haha

@@Parvision-Yeah hopefully. I just know ppl have been dogging him especially for his early appearances. I always kinda hoped he would get stronger. Especially now with all this Koby focus, how funny would it be that the goofball from episode 1 gets a Shanks reveal +his Haki ability explodes. He's definitely getting to the end of the series as a legend, Shanks or not. 📈

But the thing is uta wasnt shanks daughter, same as how roger found shanks, shanks found uta inside a treasure chest. So utas hair being red for shanks hair and white because of her mother makes no sense because shanks wasnt the real biological father of uta.

Well, it's moreso the huge narrative reasons. Shanks saved Koby at marineford, we're told they're connected somehow, Koby was born in the east blue around the time shanks was there, despite his importance we know absolutely 0 about Kobys background, he randomly has random spikes in power. He's also just really similar looking to young shanks.

I have one aswell but with black hair instead, he is ressemble Young Shank vibe, had conquer haki like Shanks and grew up with Mihawk being his sensei.

agreed, THO i will throw in that oda did design the plot of the movie and most of the details surrounding shanks are canon. events of the movie are not, but i wouldnt be surprised if everything shanks related had to be checked by oda very meticulously given who shanks is and what he represents in the story
