Great review. After having read all of Bret’s work, including White, I was so pumped for this book and yeah I totally agree… was not let down. This book has so many levels. Maybe it’s fiction, maybe it’s metaphor or maybe it’s like most of BEEs work therapy. Will subscribe just to see what you think of his other books especially Lunar Park.

I'm a massive American Psycho fan, and currently im reading The Rules of attraction. After that i'll read Glamorama. Might pick this one up as well!

I did too. I think it is a disgrace that the book is not receiving the critical acclaim it’s due. To my knowledge,it has been ignored and has not been nominated for any book awards.

I'm pretty far into the novel and its really good. Best book he's written since American Psycho.

What will be the next Ellis’ novel you’ll read? I’m re-reading American Psycho and I think I’ll read Glamorama in the future because the plot to me seems really intriguing

I think Lunar Park will be my next! Glamorama is on the list too though

@@sophiareadsbooks In my view while Lunar Park has some really good parts and interesting ideas, I think that compared to other Ellis’ novels it is the one that drifts away the most from his usual cynical universe of very superficial characters. I’ll wait for your review as it is a book that left me a bit unconvinced even if I did enjoy it overall

Great review!! Novel sounds intriguing and i plan to read it, but can we all take a moment to agree that the title is terrible lol. "Shards" is a really awkward word
