This is the fifth episode of a limited series. I was able to acquire vintage aftershaves that I remember fondly of my father using. I will post this series every Sunday and Thursday with the final episode on 06/16 Father's Day.

Thank you sir. When I first thought of this series, I had no gameplan. I really didnt know what I was going to do or say other than use vintage scents I remember my dad using. It turned into what you see completely on its own. One more to go, then on to new ideas!

Great video Barry, lovely bowls from spot prints. I have never seen "Williams" products on shelves here in Aus (I'm 71). Very touching and somber stories from your childhood, you are really a great story teller. I was also lucky to have great parents and they stayed together until they passed in their 90s (married 65+ years). A good shave is a good aim ... Have a great father's day.👌🤠👍

The part about losing your dad really got to me. My heart goes out to you Bary. It especially hits me, since I thought I was about to lose my mom a few weeks ago. She was on vacation in Indianapolis and got sick then put in ICU. I took a flight there that day and I literally packed funeral clothes thinking this was it. I cried on the plane all the way there. My mom was my first best friend. And my poor dad, seeing him worried about losing his wife of 50 years was really heart wrenching. My parents are my earthly angels. I will never take having them for granted. Sending you warm hugs. I truly admire you doing this and for honoring your dads legacy. He would be very proud of the man that you are.

I have three nephews and collected vintage Gillette for them. Techichi was my go-to guy. He cleans the products up really well and has the most fair prices around.

I too come from a broken family but it wouldn't change it for anything if I could. My dad left my mom and me and my brother and sister when I was 12. It taught me to be a man way sooner than I had to be but the most important thing it taught me was the importance of my kids. They are both grown and out of the house now but every time I speak to them and while they were growing up, I always told them how much I love them. I was a firefighter for 39 years and every time I left for work I hugged them and told them I love them. Even to this day I always end whatever conversation I have with them with a heartfelt I love you. Don't be so hard on yourself because you still are a loving dad and part of your children's life. I'm a fairly new subscriber but I just love your videos. As John shaves 101 would say, crack on brother❤

We learn more from lifes trials than we do from the easy times. It's what develops our character. I wouldn't change a thing either. I am happy you found my channel, and I hope you keep watching!

I remember how heartbreaking it was to tell my girls that their dad was leaving the first time. It tore me up inside. I wanted them to have a normal family life. I wanted to grow old with the same person forever. I took the vows very serious, hence trying to make it work more times than many thought I should have. It finally got to the point when my girls told me no more. I did all I could do. Now 17 years later I am healed and at peace. I also have a very strong bond with my daughters like you do and that is probably partially a result of all that we endured together.

Bary, great Shave and great Story. First the Shave...I use Sacre Bleu shave soap and star jelly with the current AV blue and I think the scent is amazing. PAA is awesome with their scents! Second, the stories are amazing and really hit home in various ways with your viewers. We can relate in some way to what you had or what you may have gone through. It makes you real to us. It is great. This series is awesome and looking forward to all of your content. BTW "Sneak peek in my shorts" sounded hysterical😂 Yes I went there! 😂 Happy Father's Day 😊👊

Great shave. What’s crazy is my dad wore cologne but don’t remember seeing a bottle of what it was. Several shaves in with the treet platinum I think they may be the best blade I have used for the money. Ordered another 200. I use astra green,Russian, Kai, voskhod, and now treet. Treet hanging right with them. I also was divorced, as sad as it was I felt blessed there were no children involved.

When I was about a Junior in high school, Dad lost his job to someone who knew computers better than he did. Up until that point, I don't remember worrying about money. It took him a while to find solid work. Of course, that took its toll and there was a lot of fighting between Mom n Dad, and every so often morphed into Dad taking it out on me (the oldest of 3). And it got to a point where they, like your parents, separated. Eventually, they got back together and we all went to counseling during my Senior year. I remember it vividly because I was told that the counselor told them, "You had better get your act together because I have gotten to the point where I'm about to go to college and just don't care anymore." And once again mirror your Dad, mine has a brain aneurysm that we've been watching for about 3 years. Luckily, we caught it early... but it's 1mm before they need to do something about it.

My dad passed away on Mother’s Day 2024 and I was the person that had to break the news to my mom. Anyway …. That is my story. One thing that I remember my dad told me was that the prettiest girl in the room is the one wearing a smile …. Happy Fathers Day, y’all !!!
