Her saying Shego is a dumb name - here's the thing though. Here's the thing. I watched the entire show back to front multiple times because I Loved It. I remember PRECISELY why her name is 'Shego'. It's Not Her Birth Name. It is a PSEUDONYM. Her birth name is something else ENTIRELY, we never learn it to my recollection - Shego is the name she used while she was a hero, on a team with like four or five other similar named people, her brothers iirc (hence SHE-go, she was the only girl, on Team Go), and she kept it when she became a villain. So Monarch saying it sounds dumb to moan in bed - yeah, duh, cause it's not her fucking birth name! It'd be like moaning 'oh SUPERMAN' you wouldn't SAY SUPERMAN, you'd say clark goddamn kent. She is SHEGO - the She on Team Go. FUCK.

Seeing Jing Yuan having a debate with Jingliu over the the pronunciation of Shego's name is just hilarious at it's best. 😂😂

For all my years to being experienced with classic Disney cartoons like Kim Possible, SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN PRONOUNCED AS “SHEGO” because it’s A SUPERHEROINE/VILLAINESS NAME cause she was in a group called TEAM GO, which consisted of her brothers and being the only female on the team. Yes, we’ve NEVER seen the parents.

And it was a swap, not outright mutilation, so Clover ended up with these big beefy legs, which ultimately let her fly the plane they needed to escape. As people have pointed out, Shego is pronounced 'She Go' because of Team Go. With 'Hego', 'Shego', 'Mego' and 'Wego' (twins), all pronounced 'He Go', 'Me Go', 'We Go' and 'She Go'.

I thought she was named Shego cause it was her Hero name when she was a hero, like her siblings Hego, Mego forgot the twins.

It's Shego because she's the only sister of the GO family siblings and yes also because of EGO because they all have different personality quirks regarding their ego. There's also her brothers Hego (super strength) has a very confident Superman style personality, Mego (shrinking) has needless confidence in himself and is arrogant, and the twins Wego (cloning) are basically the twin trope in it's purest form. Shego on the otherhand is very focused and results driven which is why she became evil because her brother's personalities made her go crazy.

To be fair, in Spanish her name IS actually Kim *Posible*. I think the spelling is the same as in English but pronounced like the word "posible".

This is your friendly remember that Monarch is a professional voice actress...who can’t pronounce simple names.

So about the Infestation game- far be it from me to defend a nazi, but in this case the allegations appear baseless. The '88 turned out to be a reference to the year 1988 in which the game is set, the developers did not realise it was a nazi dog whistle and have since changed the name to remove it. They have publicly disavowed any association with nazi ideology and temporarily shut down their recently opened discord to clean it out after it was spammed by nazis attracted by the news. They have also said the AI voice over is meant to be a placeholder until they can get proper voice actors in, and there is no AI art. They do use some Unity and Unreal store assets but, well, that's what those stores are for. They're only 2 people developing this game, not a whole studio. Whether all this stays true in the future remains to be seen, but I wouldn't get too carried away by rumors just yet.
