You’re having a hard time because you’re pushing the pins in the wrong order. It’s driver side first passenger side second. Easily done, never had an issue.
@@Y_hass yea. Until they challenge me to a race and get their ass whipped for $100k less money. lol. And I get recorded, interviewed at every gas station, stop light and parking lot that I go to in that Ford. Do you get swamped with attention in your super car?
@@ricardoronin5170 You would be swimming in p*ssy if you could afford a supercar. It's ok, you can't afford a lambo or a ferrari, I can't either :( Not even a mustang gt. But don't try to make yourself feel better pretending a ford is better than an Italian sports car.
the hellcat, demon and zl1 sound better cuz you can hear the supercharger whine and for both gt500 models (2021 and 2012-14) you don't get a supercharger whine from the exhaust unless you're in the engine bay unless you upgrade the pullies and add an intake. sure its "a great car" for under 100k but i rather go for the 5th gen zl1, the hellcat, the red-eye, or the demon if i had the finances for it
@@daraingarcia5897 Not saying I don't like Mustangs, but for a Muscle car, I'd rather have the Challenger Scat Pack, Wide Body, which I own a 2023 Last Call model, could of went with the Hellcat but, un-usable HP not into the racing just like V-8's naturally aspirated, does all I need to drive in Florida! Mustangs are to confined, my opinion & when I seen the dial shifter, oh no that was a complete deal braker, but the Dark Horse mod is a gem! for those that are Ford Mustang fan's.
Drove 5 hrs with my buddy to get his. 2020. He let me drive it for a couple hrs back. Touched 130 in it, was scared to push it any further. The machine ABSOLUTELY eats the road. It basically screams at you to unleash it. It can be a daily, barely lol but can be. But I’m telling you, I’ve never been in a vehicle that wants to commit sins before. The gt500 is a god damn nightmare for anything crossing its path. Don’t get me wrong, there are things out there that shit on this car, I’m not stupid, but this car is a fucking hell of a time. 😈😈😈
I know $89k sounds like a ton of money, but I went the build my own route with a 22GT mischievous purple Stg2 Whipple carbon fiber goodies etc, I now have around $70-75k in mine tho mine is faster than the gt500 here it’s still not as capable doesn’t have all the extra coolers gt500s do like differential cooler w fan Trans & oil coolers bigger engine better trans and the Shelby brand name which is value alone! So if I could do it over I would buy this in like rite now!!except this car here was like $125k ++ when I bought mine! So this is a steal in my book!!
first off, you have to have the 10 speed gt if you want the fastest coyote, Secondly if you built it to 800-900 up, it's been proven a stock gt500 with 600+ hp will still be faster because of the 7 speed dct.
Great looking and performing car; cant fathom however why they wouldn't have swapped out the ugly plastic coolant "bottle"; completely lets the engine bay down!
🧢 There is no such thing as a GT350 with a Coyote engine, which is a 5.0L cross-plane crank V8. The GT350 only comes with a 5.2L flat-plane crank V8 called the Voodoo.
You never really drove a 700-1500hp power car on the streets obviously! Smart drivers and mechanics care about that as much as the hp! Unless you don’t mind killing peoples! WTF
Just today saw I guy blow by me in a GT500 Shelby doing about 80mph, he then down shifts, the car fish tales as he punches it and burns off more rubber.
The rotary dial for transmission selection is bogus. If your steering wheel is crossed-up when doing burnouts and you can’t access the shift paddles, you’re unable to change up through the gears due to the lack of console shifter. 👎🏻
@@GeneralLeevseverything 🤦🏼♂️That’s precisely the problem. If the shift paddles are column mounted, they always remain in the same place when your steering wheel is crossed up. Conversely, shift paddles mounted to the steering wheel become inverted and switch sides when the wheel is crossed up during aggressive burnouts / drifting / donuts. This is precisely why drivers will momentarily switch to the console shifter instead in order to avoid any confusion when hurriedly changing gears. Edit : Which you are unable to do with a rotary dial.
@Virvum_Juggernaut I see what you are saying now. Well hopefully I don't ever get it crossed up that bad while I'm shifting where that would ever make any difference. Unless your trying to basically destroy the car you shouldn't have to wory about that
@@GeneralLeevseverything If you can’t comprehend that ever happening to you, it means you lack the skills to manhandle a car. Answer me this : Why do manufacturers of performance cars place a centre mark at 12 o’clock on their steering wheels?
@Virvum_Juggernaut yea I would think that would be the opposite My friend. If you lack the skills to be able to handle it as is then you need to stick with a different car. Duh on the red stripe... if I wanna play I got toys for that if I wanna drive I get in the gt500 period.
Why does the GT500 need those ridiculous hood pins when the Camaro ZL1 or any other equal or superior sports car does not, are Ford engineers that incompetent?
It’s reassurance just in case the main latch fails. It’s a ford latch, it’s not a Euro thats double the cost for the same performance. Why do you have insurance if you know you’re never gonna get in an accident? ZL1 doesn’t have it cause only faggots would choose the ZL1 over a gt500 💀
@@W1LLG4M3R That's what I'm saying about the 500. DH is lighter, more aero, better brakes, and handles better. A 350 would have a better chance. Research would save this conversation.
100% I had bought a New 2021 Carbonized Grey, then traded it for a C8 Vette, but recently traded back and now own the last year 2022 White & black stripe, Tech PKG, Handling PKG, Carbon Fiber dash
Aren’t they rereleasing this in 2025? Any idea what it’s suppose to be like? I’d like to buy a 2022, but I don’t want to lose my butt when the new Shelby comes out
One of the greatest ever??? Ummm… no. I’m a Mustang guy and just no. It’s the best performing Mustang but great sports car ever??? Yes. I might agree with the new Mustang GTD as up there. I’ll agree with the S197 GT500 Super Snake Widebody as one of the most desirable because of the sheer scarcity of it and it’s the last Carroll involved design, but there’s a 1,001 other sports cars I’d call greater than the S550 GT500
