These types of games are crazy addictive and fun. I really enjoy how they have gear and new characters to unlock. The problem with AAA development is that they have become formulaic. Online multiplayer and couch coop used to be applied to all genres, now they only get applied to some. Driving games are no longer couch coop, and multiplayer is strictly for fps or fighting games. Devolver thrives because they focus on smaller experiences with tight gameplay loops

Big games are bad if they're only big for the sake of being big. They're good if you have an actual plan to do something with all of that space. A reason for it to be there and for the player to explore the vastness. Some emptiness is not only okay but expected (if everything is packed with finds, there's not a lot of excitement to finding anything), but if most of the size is just a huge empty sandbox with nothing to do, it might as well not exist.

One IP that I think would benefit well with the right indie dev is Discworld. There's been only 4 games that came out for Discworld that I know of, the 2 classic point and clicks with Rincewind, the 3rd with (I think it's Vimes, but, I can't fraggin remember, whichever of the Nightwatch is the werewolf), and the Discworld MUD which is still active even to this day. That series has a lot of different avenues a dev could take, like, open world survival, and seriously, that sounds like it wouldn't work but, we're talking about a world where the River Ankh has a consistency of pudding, Dibbler sells wares that you can't guarantee won't kill you, and depending where you are in Ankh-Morpork other hazards like wizards being incompetent, Death being bored and just walking around, all sorts of stuff. Even if the game doesn't go the route of survival, just being able to explore that world with it's unique humor would be awesome.

Watching this at work while playing tears of the kingdom on switch. To be working security on an abandoned college campus is creepy, ut has its perks. Hate night shift though lol

I think a crossover between a racing game and a platform fighter is something that is really underexplored. I remember loving Micro Maniacs Racing for the PS1 as a kid, which sort of had a similar vibe. It was a game about miniature figures racing and brawling

So can we expect an custom made art piece for this game? Like you do for other games you like? Or is the things you want to do pile to big for that?

Worked in a grocery store as a teen and had to pay union dues (which was a flat flee, not a % of wages) off every pay cheque, but because I was part time I didn't get any of the benefits or protection of the union. When I got injured on the job they flat out fired me and the union did nothing, left a really sour taste for unions after that.

The fact that they have some very easy lord of the rings game to make but choose to do stuff like golum, is upsetting. Im still waiting for sequels to LOTR conquest, which was a 3rd person class based fighter thing. Like star wars battlefront but LOTR. And a sequal to anouther one that i cant remmeber the name of but it was a rts that was actually really fun.

Duration isn't bad because of your items... They keep their charges longer before they disappear like the defense boots while moving... Now it's not much because you aren't going all in but it helps

Shields are my favorite weapons, duel wielding is the only allowed improvement.

Jedi has been fixed like 2 weeks ago, they patched it within like 2-3 days of launch and it runs great now on PC.

I loved playing as a doctor in the original SW online game, Star Wars Galaxies is the name I think. I was a master doctor in town and a master teras kasi artist out of town. Dont mess around in my clinic or I will sample your DNA (which I routinely failed and caused the source to... die)

Free market in regard to jobs is an absolute joke. Companies have long been taking all the benefits of innovation for themselves sharing little with actual employees. While productivity is increasing rapidly, compensation for said productivity is stagnating.

This game is good, but gosh does the meta progression UI are horribles! That whole grid thing splitted in like 18 tabs makes it just impossible to track. I don't even go look anymore cause anyway i'll be searching forever for the right tabs and not even find what i gotta do.
