good luck man, i've been doing this challenge for on and off for 5 years (anniversary is next month for first shiny) when I have some free time and the crazy part is my first shiny for the challenge was also a feebas, got in in usum using SOS method. Right now im only at 230 shinies, but I'd say its good progress for somebody who doesn't do it consistenty. Just wanted to say good luck, and I'll be sure to keep track.

If you’ve heard of Bird Keeper Toby he has this challenge but a more intense version called the Ghost Star Challenge within his Master Pokédex challenge. It’s basically doing the master dex all over again but shiny. It’s called the ghost star because you’ll likely be dead before finishing

Glad I found you in my recommended! I'll be watching your progress in this challenge now and I wish you the best of luck! I'm currently doing a challenge in my Pokemon Home that I can comfortably say nobody has ever gone for, and part of that is going for a Shiny Living Dex as well! Part of the twist on that is I have to get every shiny from its original game (for example my shiny Venusaur has to come from Virtual Console Red/Blue/Yellow. I am about 20-25% done with the Shiny Living Dex at this point and I'm always fascinated to see other people go for it as well. I wish you the best of luck!

Currently I'm working on a regular living dex, but at some point in the future I do see myself attempting to do a shining living dex as well. I'll be fun to watch the progress over time.

I started this challenge around 2 year ago and I'm up to 930 shinies including gender forms and other forms. I'm at 725ish out of 1017 for shiny species.

@@averagetectonicplateenjoyer well you obviously haven't seen the Johnstone video about this. Even if you used a bot that ALWAYS encountered a different pattern of spinda and encountered and caught that new spinda pattern every second of every day, and somehow always had unlimited balls and unlimited storage space it would take over 130 years. And that's not even including the shinies, that's just for regular ones. So I would need two bots constantly cheating for 70 years each. But since I'm getting all of my Pokemon legitimately this is literally an impossible task to complete in a lifetime. Again nice troll, best of luck to you if you decide to waste your life on that project.

I just started a shiny living dex for the gen 2 games on the 3DS VC, my plan atm is to RE a shiny ditto (eventually) and hatch what i can with the 1/64 odds :p not a full odds dex but it’ll be “legit”

im doing a shiny living dex also but every pokemon is from their respective regions since pokemon home records the region data. I think it makes me use a bunch of different methods in different games so it'll be fun. Im currently done with kalos and halfway done with alola. atb for ur sld tho
