I was born in Brooklyn (1963) we didn’t have computers, cell phones or I-Pads we spent the summers in mc Caren pool and the winters staying warm playing mostly in the subways 🤐 you actually showed me things that were in my back yard that I never even they existed.. Thank You. This video is must watch for New Yorkers and those who want to know what now’s forgotten….
I was born thousands of years ago. All year some of my tribal members and I went hunting for food. We also drew animals on the walls for the caves. This happened before cars, horses, electricy, and warm clothes
@@CatinthehatOct1989 I do not know what a "tata" and "nana" are but keep in mind that Mexicans are mainly indigenous people. When the Spanish arrived there was some admixture. Essentially we are all humans who originally came from Africa. Of course, there was admixture with Neanderthals, Denisovans, and others.
None of these Magnificent Buildings were made by us, think about it some of these old Magnificent Buildings were said to have been built before electricity yet Abraham Lincoln was supposed to have been born in a small log cabin? Our History is Not what we’ve been taught in our schools that was started in the 1800”s by Rockefeller being quoted as saying that he didn’t want smart people he wanted obedient ones. He erased our true history and taught only a portion of math and science. It’s an amazing journey.
Hard to watch this vid because of the fake narrative. New York city has underground tunnels as a way to move cows this vid states. What a bunch of crap. There were nematic tubes for fast transport that we are not allowed to know about and on and on.
True. This video even repeats how the Fuller Building was "built in a year". Yeah, sure..... The architect attributed to this build is named Daniel Burnham (Burn 'em) who has been named as the architect for dozens of buildings across the US all built within a very short time. Impossible!
I wonder how many tributes are around the world? There is a mini corner building like that in Aurora, Il. I always thought it looked so cool as a kid. Then I got to see the original when I was older and loved it.
My dentist was in this building. I had soft teeth as a child and at age 8, I came to this building and had 4 root canals. The next year, my sister, 11 months my senior, and I went to get our two front teeth filled in as each of us busted them skating. On the way home, we got some gobsmackers bubble gum. We both lost our front crowns. Must have pissed off my step dad, but hey...The flat iron building holds a bit of history for me and it's fun to reminisce when vids like this come up.
There's a building (Or there was...not a New England resident in more than 30 years) in Lynn Massachusetts that resembles the Flatiron. Always loved the intriguing design.
@@daewooparts I think there should be no taxes so the roads would go back to being dirt, and trash should be left on the ground so that it would smell nice. Electricity would disappear eventually.
@@ArtFreeman, the roadway is hardly fixed & overtaxed & now they want to toll it as well with congestion pricing, as for trash 🗑 pickup, it should be privatized as it's way cheaper in the long run & mostly gets recycled ♻️ or ⚡️ trash to energy instead of landfilled
@@daewooparts, I did not write that the road was fixed. I did write that without taxes the road would return to dirt. Of course, the republican way is to make everyone pay for road access much like a tax but instead to a private company. One would have to pay for a company to get trash. Instead of paying taxes, you pay a private company. Many other things such as the military. Instead of paying a tax, people would have their own private militaries. This would only work for the wealthy of course. Let's view the salaries of those who work for government entities such as the local, county, state, and federal governments. No one works for free so who would pay them? If no one they would quit many agencies such as Social Security, Veterans Agency (VA), national parks, and many other things would disappear.
Having insomnia and Watching RU-vid this video comes up about my hometown NYC. Watching the video I didnt realize what time it is,since my windows are blacked out to block out light. I heard birds chirping and thinking its outside but its in the video (brooklyns fake subway building) 🤦🏼♂️
Thank you. A very interesting video. Truly wonderful. But how I wished if you could have shown us at least one plan of a typical floor. Anyway. I wish to see more videos of buildings with interesting stories. Maybe each building needs a separate whole videovl to cover it in more detail.
I don't know much about the proliferation of flatiron buildings around America but I have often seen the exterior of the triangular "flatiron building" that's squeezed in-between empty spaces in downtown Omaha Nebraska South of the Douglas county courthouse. Haven't been by the place in a couple of decades and can only suppose that it's still there.
Fun fact: The cap stone of the Washington monument is made of aluminum, which was first successful smelted just a few years before the completion of the monument.
The flatiron building has a dark side to it, more construction deaths occurred during its construction than any other building in NY. It also changed hands several times during its construction, with the foundation and foundation iron work bankrupting the first set of investors. The flat iron failed as upscale residences due to its heating system and constant sounds of wind. It's a creepy building that has had a fair share of guest mortality as well. Haunted is an under statement. Good luck finding who the true owners are, that info is buried as well. I bet the attic is loaded with antique furniture...but too haunted for anyone to spend more than a day. It's exterior is beautiful, sadly the interior has been remodeled so many times almost all of the art nuveau influences have been removed.
Who knew about some of this stuff - although some sites are closed or abandoned.. Who knew about that giant swimming pool!! Looking around the city on Google maps, I find that there is another pool, although not as large as the McCarren Pool, which is the Van Cortlandt Park South in that park of the same name...
Final days of New York. We are witnessing the slow, inevitable collapse of a once thriving city. Businesses are being driven out of the city by high crime and taxes. Roving gangs of criminals are stripping store shelves of their products and disappearing into the haze. Police departments are hobbled by city and state governments and leftist media, political parties, therefore the law has become superfluous. The cancer that is beginning to grow in major metropolitan areas will spread throughout the country until the country dies from incompetence and neglect. A one party state is going to destroy capitalism and individual liberty and impose a gestapo type police state over the citizens and anyone who opposes the state will be imprisoned and all their property will be confiscated. These things are beginning to happen now. Adios America.
