I worked for Horizon and Indiana Transport. Horizon you could only self dispatch reloads after 25,000 safe miles. Anything new out of Indiana you had to call or email your dispatcher to get a load. At Indiana Transport you were able to self dispatch anything on the board as soon as you completed your first delivery.

I run for IT after my first 2 runs the load board was opened up to me and I can sit at home about 640 miles away and if I see a load I like all I have to do is hit the request load button then I was self dispatched

Yeah that yard looks as empty as the Topeka yard. I finally got a load. Now got to get back in the "que" for another. Meanwhile I'm sitting at home watching football...lol

Today in orientation she said not to worry about the 250 miles. She said as long as you can pick it up before 11.am the next morning. But that is for new drivers. Not sure about self dispatch. I can book a load 400 miles away, just have to make it up to the yard before 11am.

I call in for even reloads faster but you can self reloads from day one and I am at wave. 25k safety and 10 states and 250 miles from yard

Drove from Cincinnati to Lebanon, TN today and saw 5 transporters - 3 had Wave placards, 1 was Horizon, and I didn’t catch the fifth one. They were all pulling travel trailers 28 - 30 ft with double axels. So somebody is still finding loads. Are the yards still empty or are they starting to fill up again?
