@@Xalvadore505Ok but like at this point they’re not doing what’s best for the team we know Lonzos not coming back and we know that most likely derozan will either be traded or walk in free agency if he’s not happy with his contract
Facts the GM is a complete idiot Traded Lauri markinin Gave Non defensive Vuch a huge contract and didn’t sign a good center Traded Alex Caruso for Josh Giddy The list goes on the GM is def apart of the blame
@@chesterfieldthe3rd929yeah, keep him while his trade value is at its highest, and a season or two from now that value might go down and not get as much as you would want from him. He just turned 30
@@rlmalonzo1184so true. Now.is the time for a good gm to cash out on Caruso. You aren't going to the playoffs and in 4 years when you are he will have no value
As a lakers fan im not sold on him because of the contract+injury history. Hes a pretty decent fit alongside bron/AD but the depth they give up will probably hurt more than he helps. But hey idk. I could be wrong. I guess we'll see if he ends up w the lakers.
He’s not a good fit at all. He can’t pass at all, his court vision is beyond mediocre. He also is not good off-ball offensively. Paying 40+million a year for a catch and shoot option who doesn’t play good defense and has no instincts of when to cut off-ball is a really bad strategy.
Jalen = Lavine almost, but makes 10 mil a year instead of what 45mil?? No way they trade green and brooks for lavine unless they get Caruso and draft capital
Looking how the Bulls is doing in the recent games, it should be settled Coby White and Patrick Williams are going to be the future of the team, the rest should be trade assets to get some new developing and young players to fill the roster, they could also get a haul of draft assets. It should be a full rebuild and just let the guys play on this year to make some room for growth and to build a new team chemistry. But since we're talking about the Bulls management here, chances are they'll squander this big moment on trying to turn around this team to something better for the future 🤣😂 😂😂😂
Theyll try to trade those guys instead for a bunch of busts and then one of them will develop into a star and they'll overuse them till a season ending injury happens
@@John-cz5ni he have it in him, he got potential and he's playing better since he got the playing time he needs. Y'all said that too when Markannen was still a Bulls, when he got traded to the Cavs, his game shine; and then became a first time All Star when got traded to Utah last year. I mean they can trade him too, but for what? Draft Picks? To pick someone you'll build from start again then waste their growth? Pat Williams just need his playing time, and he's proving it on some games he started, that he got the potential to be a great player.
Hes a 2nd option at best on a good team but more realistically a 2B type of guy on a strong contender who is getting paid like a first option. On top of that Chicago’s asking price is just stupid.
Lavine is better than Lou Williams. Lou has the better career. Lavine is way more talented and the top dog on a team. Lou was a 6 man monster but not the top dog.
Nah, Zach is worse. His peak should be 6th man, but he's so athletic that he fooled AKME into overpaying like crazy for him. His decisionmaking is horrendous and when he plays well it is at the expense of the rest of the team
Id like to see him on the warriors. maybe for klay and a pick. let the bulls "win now" and still be able to free up cap space since it's klay's last year. warriors desperately need another scorer besides curry and i dont see another star on the market in their range
I can't believe i didnt think about the magic as a lavine destination till i saw this video, but it makes perfect sense. They need both shot creation and off-ball shooting/spacing, theyve got the expendable salary ballast for salary matching, they have a surplus of likeable young players they could attach that Chicago would want to start their rebuild, they have enough defense to offset lavine's poor defense, and they have the passing/playmaking/ball handling to set lavine up perfectly as an offball threat (his ideal role), plus a decent pool of draft capital to draw from for a deal while having enough left over for a second deal or maybe even 3rd if they want to go all in at a later date. Theyre too perfect a trade partner for chicago... which is why we probably wont see them trade for Zach, because these kinds of trades between perfect partners almost never happen
Orlando would be a better fit with DeRozan because they need a veteran that can lead and Lavine isn't a leader. They could get Dillion Brooks and another young player, they may could move him to the Hornets for Scary Terry and a pick but I don't see any team that is willing to disrupt their entire roster to get LaVine outside of or Detroit. LaVine is a culture changer and unfortunately the culture he brings is the stats padding losing kind because he has never lead a winning team.
What about Atlanta? LaVine for Dejounte Murray, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Wes Matthews or Garrison Mathews is a financial fit. Wouldn't be able to happen until January 5th and it really messes up Atlanta on defense but it could be an option. Also no idea if either team would be interested.
@jamalwilliams6006 I mean atlantas in a hole too. They either trade for someone to make them better, or they trade everyone off and start again. Personally though I would only trade Murray or Bogdanavic with maybe a couple young guys and/or a couple picks but that's just me
That would leave the hawks with an 88 million dollar backcourt eating 70% of the cap space that would probably be the worst defensive backcourt in the league
hes not a primary star. Bradley beal wasnt a winning player, neither was Wiggins. Not everyone is the type to be a primary star. Lavine is a great 2-3 Like wiggins or beal
@nickmay7342 sounds all well and good but in a cap league it matters that he is overpaid. You also listed guys who either didn't win anything or needed to be a role player on a team with an all time great.
It’s not even that he’s not a “winning player”. It’s that he’s not capable of being a teams primary playmaker or reliable defender, and his salary is too high for interested teams to stomach
You always spoke ill of being in "no man's land" in the nba. The nets are there...but what if the rockets gave back all the nets picks n Jalen green for miles bridges? Then could turn n trade the rest of the roster n have a thunder style chest of picks. N control their own tank.
Maybe being bias, but I say spurs could make a push. We could give Keldon and Doug to make up the money plus some picks. For bulls they get a younger player plus an expiring contract and picks if they feel to rebuild. Spurs we get a player who could play pick and roll with Wemby and Devin. I see this as a win win
I would love to see the stat for the bulls record without lavine and with him since they got derozani have always felt like they play harder defense and more team ball without him
Levine is a below avg defender, and on offense while talented his game is dribbling and shooting but with the exception of a few guards in the league, like Luca, dribbling is slowing the offense, where the league now is about distance stationary jump shooting more and more these days....There is a definite roll for him to come off the bench and generate instant offense, the old 6th man type of player., but what is that worth, and will he be happy in a reduced role on an acquiring team. He has good character so that too is a positive..
When he’s healthy he’s 50/40/90 he’s a good player. He’s not great defensively he’s a 2nd 3rd. Most teams gotta give up players to match but a first pick an young player not to bad to give up
I think this should be a sign to a lot of teams that kissy because a player is eligible for these super max contracts or even higher end contracts they aren’t obligated to give it Zach isn’t worth 40 mil at any point in his career and him getting over that annually is really restrictive for them
Only teams I can think that can and want to trade for him are LAL and ORL. Magic need shooting and have some contracts to move around the the lakers are the lakers
The Bulls front office should go after rotational players, like Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie and draft compensation. This Bulls team has been a lot better without LaVine and for now, they just need to fill some blanks.
I would consider Zach to the Knicks, for Barrett, Evan Fournier and Quentin G, and 2-first round picks from the bulls. He would fit much better with his athleticism and Brunson running the show and Julius Randle taking the pressures off Zach. I think Zach would flourish in New York.
There is literally 1 reason for it. You can not pay Max money to players that are not worth Max money anymore. The new CBA cripples you for mismanaging your spending. Simple as that.
I think Golden State would make sense. They need a change finally. They could trade Thompson who would then be a huge expiring deal for the Bulls while getting to try him out and see if they want to keep him as well as trade DeRozan for Draymond. I know people hate Draymond but he could be a terrific fit with a young team as the vet as long as he decides to keep his head on straight.
@@Schi8694 I actually don't think he is. The only evidence we have of this is Jordan Poole and we're starting to see this season that maybe he was right about Poole.
@@BloodlessWolf You haven’t been paying attention. Greens’s bad behavior goes back many years. Maybe he was right about Jordan Poole. Time will tell. But that did not justify what he did.
Pistons will take anybody rn. Blazers could probably use him. Maybe the rockets. I personally could see him fitting well with the grizzlies. He’s just one of those players you just want to put them in a good system so they can just score the ball and that’s it.
Much worse. Tobias Harris can contribute to winning in general with skills beyond scoring. LaVine led teams have made the playoffs once in his entire career.
What about the Nets? Simmons and a pick or two. Bulls can still sell their fans on a big name in a rebuild. Nets upgrade from Simmons to LaVine for just a couple picks.
don't worry, there is no world in which coby goes back to the bench. he is playing so well!!! i think everyone can see zach kills the bulls in every way
sadly, you're right. i didn't mean to imply it was an irrational concern. i do believe karnisovas and eversley are better management than many are giving them credit for though. they put together a really good team that was hurt badly by lonzo's injury. this team may still be very good with the way they are playing now and i believe they see that. that is the only reason i said that. the garpax guys were veritably awful though @@sethc2241
How about LaVine and Javonte Green to Denver for MPJ and KCP? Remember how Denver changed Aaron Gordon from an inefficient mid range iso scorer in Orlando to a efficient cutter and paint scorer alongside jokic.
Zach has been asked to play outside his normal role. He was not a lead playmaker or ball handler when we got him. He was the best player and so we put the ball in his hands. He is better off ball on offense and is a good on ball defender. People are really underestimating Lavine. Hes gonna be a game changer for whoever gets him. Sad to see people talk about him like hes Russell Westbrook a few years back.
It's because the people that are playing are buying into the team. Lavine doesn't. Watch him with the other 4. It's like you have 4 people trying to run as a unit while the 5th does whatever
Bulls gonna have to take Huerter , Mitchell , 2 first round picks or no deal and if they want Barnes as well then throw another player … kings won’t even trade keegan for lavine straight up .. we got keega. On a rookie contract
Its risky but if theres nothing else maybe Lakers have to. Dlo aint it, but is Lavine not soft aswell? Did he showed up against big teams? Or only v the bad teams? Hmm! 🤷♂️
Lakers seem to be the only reasonable option. Nobody else will want him and with the Lakers struggling post-IST, their FO might get desperate enough to take him on
zach lavine is a 3rd option on a championship team at best being payed like a 1st or 2nd, a huge minus on defense and injury prone, i wonder why no one wants him
I think anyone would love to have him in the starting line up or off the bench for scoring but maybe for a bag of chips. 4 first rounders and players is insane along with the price tag
Smart teams wouldn’t give Lavine more than $28-$32 million per year. I’m sure the Bulls front office had their questions, but “you can’t lose him for nothing”. Now they can’t trade him for anything of value, given that contract. Another failure for AKME
people swear up and down the bulls should give zach away for pennies. gobert, mitchell, beal, durant, westbrook, harden, dame etc have all gotten deals done with good value coming back despite the media claiming that it was no market for those players. the bulls will get zach worth or keep him until a team is ready. he is under contract for 4 more years. no need to pull the trigger now if the value isnt there. try again next year if he produces.
They should have traded Zack like 3 years ago back when he had all of us fooled. Now we’ve seen too much of him. We know 100% he shouldn’t be the center of your offense
Man stop it. Zach can be a top tier player, but is all about coaching. Most teams have crappy coaches, and if he ends on team with a crappy coach he's gonna go down in value, and it will be too late to get any value from a trade. They know they have to make a move, because when that contractor expires they won't get squat. I say what I say, because Brooks is playing lights out in Houston under Udoka, and everyone had him playing in China. Like I said coaching.
Lakers make most sense for him. They need a guy that can get to the basket. They will get desperate around the trade deadline and pull the trigger. They know Dlo will fall apart in the playoffs like he always does and cant keep him.
Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God bless! Jesus is the way and saves! Psalms 62✝🤍
I remember rumors about the Knicks being interested in Lavine circulating in summer. COINCIDENTALLY at the same time reports come out about Lavine’s agent Rich Paul preferring not to have clients on the Knicks. For those who don’t know, Rich Paul has bad blood with Knicks President Leon Rose. Funny to see that the Bulls are having trouble moving him now
If there was ever a contract/player to stay away from...... this is front and center. The contract/money and what you get from the olayer DO NOT MATCH and this is literally GM suicide trading for this guy.
I could see the Raptors want to trade Siakam for Derozan and Patrick Williams plus a pick. Give the bulls that extended window and get Demar to resign to a 20-25 mil contract as a sg/pg with sheltered defensive matchups
HEAR ME OUT you can laugh at me but read the whole comment please mavs trade tim Hardaway jr, maxi kleber, holmes , josh green and 2 second rounder Bulls trade lavine , torrey craig , andre drummond to dallas. read everything please this gives dallas a better bench for the playoffs (3 out of the 4 guys we trading arent even playing) , get a back up c and can have lavine to play 30 minutes as the sg in spite of curry or thj being better than both and can be a great player when either luka or ky dont play or have to rest. + IF IT DOESENT WORK NEXT YEAR WE CAN TRADE ZACH + 3 PICKS( 1 VERY VALUABLE) AN HARDY OR OMAX TO GET A REAL STAR NEXT TO KY AND LUKA WHILE STILL HAVING A GREAT BENCH
Zach Lavine is the type of guy you only trade for if it's very low risk, you are already a contender, and you are plain desperate. No way in hell do you mortgage the future for him.
His contract is cheeks he can only score and doesnt do anything else and hes not a 30 points per game scorer to make up for it why would anyone on the planet want him on their team😭
Well I knew the Bulls would have buyers remorse after giving Zach LaVine that big contract. I always said he is not the player they are paying him to be. Zach is definitely talented but unless he adjust his game or his attitude not much is gonna change. Teams are not willing to risk the chemistry of their teams by putting Zach on it. At this point LaVine is who he is and other teams are seeing that. Outside of an all star nod and dunk championship what has he done. Please don’t say Olympics because that was a loaded team around him. I’m sorry cut your losses and move on!!!!!
But they don't have buyers remorse. They legit never said such a thing to anyone. You cant just go off of every RU-vid video you see. They're wrong most of the time.
First of all my opinion is not based off of any RU-vid channel or espn. I can watch every game for myself and make my own conclusions. Maybe you should stop trolling every comment that doesn’t match how you feel. I have a right to voice how I feel just like anybody else. Find someone else to f*** with.
He doesn’t play defense, has ZERO court vision, and doesn’t do anything off ball other than catch and shoot. The bulls are literally playing better without him this season. Anyone acting like he’s still a good player is delusional. The score first guard who doesn’t defend, doesn’t facilitate, and can’t create off ball is dying fast.
