No one did ngondro more times than Chattrul Rinpoche. I was fortunate to attend his transmission of parts of the Nyingma lineage to yangsi Dudjom Rinpoche and various high lamas in Parping.
At the time we lived in Boudha, Nepal...... 2 decades ago, we were so fortunate to get his blessing several times...... thanks to my father, that he brought us to meet many high Masters( Rinpoches).... both in Nepal and India. It's tremendous important to meet and get the many blessing as possible from our high lamas and Rinpoches....... in this life time. So, I keep doing the same for my kids. May all beings free from suffering and get the realization to Buddhahood.🙏🪷🌷☸️🪷🌈
Yes when I lived in Kathmandu and worked for several Masters, Chatral Rinpoche was very highly regarded by them. What I liked about him was he lived outside Kathmandu and wished to avoid a lot of the hoo ha going on in Boudha etc with people, Masters, westerners, money. He even refused many times some of the well known Masters who wanted to see him, some of them being the 'hollywood masters'. I heard he got beaten up by a crazy westerner who visited him a few years back, so stopped seeing people even more. One of his teachers was also a female, the amazing Sera Khandro. He did have a wife and kids which is also credit to them he could continue his spiritual life and practice with their support (being a tibetan female this was unlikely to happen).
