Tommy is crazy talented vocalist and musician. He nailed this song, I love that he managed to add his own touch while staying true to the original, something not many singers have done. As hard as this song may be, it doesn't even begin to cover what he is capable of vocally. If you want to really see what he can do, check out his covers She's Gone by Steelheart and You Raise Me Up (1 octave challenge). Besides being a guitarist for Sabaton, Tommy is also a singer and songwriter for Majestica (called ReinXeed before) and they are very worth checking out. As a celebration of their 20 years anniversary, Tommy re-recorded their first single, The Light, and posted it on his channel so that is 1 more song where he shows off his range, also a must see, but all his covers are amazing
There is a video live from Hellfest 2022, The red baron, where Tommy is singing live with Sabaton. Otherwise I suggest The Light, an original or Eagle fly free, Helloween cover
Tommy is a vocal god. Period. Add in the fact he's a world class guitarist and it gets ridiculous. I understand what you're saying about the vulnerability. Freddy got a vibe like Sinatra in My Way. There's a certain arrogance there (in a very good way) along with a lot of regret. Tommy sounds like he's pleading with the audience to please listen to him. And it's beautiful. Great reaction! (He covered Thin Lizzy's Emerald, just saying)
React to steelhearth cower She,s gone and I,ll will newer let you go Or The light His own song he write when he was 14 and recorded the first time when he was 18 He is an genius
Queen? I'd never heard them. At that time, it was classical only - and jazz [that was my job, bassoon, piano, and drums together with the trumpet]. But I would like to hear them play.
