The Shroomiest Metroidvania 

In the beginning, when skurry mentioned wanting a metroidvania with no abilities and only progressing through learning new crimes, all I could think of was "turnip boy commits tax evasion"

skurry: purposely uses skips to get to areas early also skurry when the bosses theyre not supposed to fight yet are hard: how could this happen

“Summon Barry, your only friend in this lonely world.” Barry is what I named my grapple worm buggie in my monk play through in Rainworld and he was my closest and only friend in that lonely world

Yay, so happy you uploaded a video on this. I love how the game just begs you to find skips (though obviously this can lead to missing out on key information, lol). For my second playthrough, I had a good time playing through the whole game without ever collecting forwards dash for example. Also, beautiful work with Barry. Looks like you and Barry just about struck the final blow on the final boss in unison!

Me, having played a metroidvania with a swapping mechanic where you have every ability at the start and just learn new ways to use that ability, but not remembering the name (it was a flash game with dogs):

It feels nice to get some Hollow Knight inspired games while we wait for Silksong and Crowsworn.

For whatever reason this game reminded me of Grime and I really think Skurry would enjoy that. -Metroidvania -Soulslike stat progression -Goofy/Bizarre characters and world

Fun fact, the skip trick you used at 13:12 was initially called cap tapping, I'm unsure if it's been renamed but it can be chained in succession to skip a few things

The amount of times Skur died when rhe boss was one or 2 hits from death was hilarious Also, i literally couldn't tell what was or wasnt a skip, dam Skur and their speedrunner brain 😂

when you called it Soul Master is when i realized "Ghost (soul) Lord (Master) and the Lands (Earth) Between (middle) were just rip offs of better older things...

So, in hollow knight, you are fighting an infection, which could be considered some sort of fungus as it creates vines and bulbs, and for gas, if you want to call it that, but in this case you are the fungus

You should try Ender Lilies, kinda a darker metroidvania but one of my favorites

I feel like Skurry would like "Insect Adventure" (an actual game that is not just Hollow Knight, it's LIKE Hollow Knight, but not actually) It's a really cool Metroidvania!

I dont know why, but this game reminds me of a game I played a few weeks ago called Fe. Its on Xbox Gamepass so thats cool. It has a beautiful soundtrack aand the game overall is very fun to play. I definitely would recommend. Also, i do think this is the shroomiest metroidvania.
