While it is cool it failed at what it tried to accomplish with it ending up costing more than an expendable rocket, it also killed more astronauts then any other spacecraft in the world
I can't even imagine the shear feeling of orbiting the earth,seeing everything from insane heights,every country,every sea,every ocean,every person. Must be incredible

I’m glad it doesn’t fly today considering it’s killed more people than the entire Soviet Space program, and Roscosmos combined. I just wish something like Venture Star existed to take its place
@@juanleon3875 cool but not effective as starship can do what the shuttle can do, but better and cheaper, each Starship mission, which can carry 150t’s cots $5m, while a space shuttle mission with 36t costs $450m with far smaller crew load
First flight had John Young and Robert Crippen on board. Young had been on Nasa since 1962 and had Gemini and Apollo spacecraft's under his belt when he added this to his impressive CV. Crippen was selected in 1969 and this was his first flight to space. He flew to space 4 times. Young 6
