Sometimes it trips a lily bit and idk for sure but he might have been trying to get into a tree above him but sometimes that doesn't work like when you wait for the x or A button to show you can jump
Predator should be allowed to take one of the marines hostage. Jump with them through the trees and set a trap, hanging the marine upside down somewhere, thus triggering the rescue mission :D
There are a lot of problems with this suggestion game mechanics wise. There is no reason to go after the marine considering you get ammo, health, and varitanium (I think that's what it's called) from other reliable sources around the map. There is even a reinforcement beacon you can activate to get them back. It's just not necessary. I like the idea though.
@@jordanpickthall0619 that would be cool, maybe make them drop their weapon also so they cant shoot until someone lets them down. Maybe have a human perk to counter it that makes them never drop their gun, but besides that, it would let the predator take one of the marines out of commission so he can take others on
18:40 "Got time to duck?" the scene, except the Predator is winning. This entire match felt like a reverse Predator movie, Predator getting the attention of the NPC on purpose, the Predator preparing to fight the soldiers, the guy covered in mud actually dying, etc.
The reason your energy glitches is cause the cloak doesn't work when you get wet. You run through water it fucks your cloak up and causes the sparking. You have to turn it off and then turn it back on again. At least that's my guess on how to fix it quickly other then letting it stop on its own.
18:00 - 20:00 Movie level pred v human firefight. Imagine if Cartoons was able to have two plasma casters like the predator from AVP Requiem, or use a caster as a sidearm. This game seriously needs a map+mission oriented in a Predator Temple, AI Xenos included. Player objectives on that map could be 1: Recover Temple data records 2: Secure specimen samples
22:16 None of the players were even next to him, and he was even spinning around to try and get out. The muddy player in front of him wasn't close enough to trap him in place. It is a genuine pathing error.
14:4 That definitely sucks for Cartoonz, but ironically what they did is similar to the tactics Dutch and his team used to trap the Predator. They found a defensible area with good visibility where the Predator had to be funneled into the killing field if he wanted to hurt them. As much as it sucks, those are good tactics, especially with all miniguns.
The reason you can be seen in camo is the quick changes of color when you run(I'm talking about the color of buildings and trees when it matches the color)
I think that the plasma caster needs a buff. Just introduce a cool down timer on it for more damage and proximate damage or introduce a perk or upgrade for it.
The physics of the invisibility is good,also being spotted while u invisible when moving is understandable because when u go invisible the predator still maintains its physical form only blending to the surrounding
Weird how when you crouch while invisible you can't be seen and they all went right past you but as soon as they went to that town they suddenly had amazing vision and knew where you were regardless. Not calling foul play but it seemed fishy. Like they said "There's only an hour left and the Predator is too powerful for me, may as well cheat and try to kill him" or something
@ You are so wrong lol. Humans never look for the predator. You as the predator have the power to engage, and come back to them whenever you want. You can even avoid fighting them all game if you want. If you really think you are being hunted as the predator sorry to tell you but you suck LOL. The predator is not supposed to be an unstoppable force, he's just a stronger an agile humanoid who has lots of tools. Get good.
the sound design in this game is phenomenal i was in a building doing a mission and i just hear loud footsteps and then screaming and blade slashes. it’s so cool
Hopefully when the game gets released proper they'll have patched it so whole squads can't run only miniguns and grenade launchers 'cause that seems to shit up the balancing quite a bit.
I found the forests to be super reliable as far as escaping and hiding from the Fireteam. Leap into a tree, run to another, drop down, then leap away, climb into another tree. You’ve just gotta keep moving and set traps.
Above the minimap on the bottom center of your screen is your grey stamina bar. It takes stamina to jump, and when you sprint you drain it. That is why sometimes you're having trouble jumping. Happy hunting brother.
I’m lazy and don’t want to watch all the videos, but did he know you can mimic the human voices by holding up on the d pad, you can also roar and stuff but yeah you can quote human voices, however it’s kinda useless since no one really listens Anyway I played the game last night on the trial, it’s fun but it’s only fun with friends, there need to be improvements but for a game that isn’t a triple A title it’s still amazing, predator can be annoying but that’s if no one has like a grenade launcher, then the predator can jsut rush in with the spear, they need another sight mode for the predator similar to alien vision but it only shows the other real players, next they need equipment damage, like if you put too much mud on yourself you could cause your gun to get jammed since it’s covered with too much mud, as for the predator, you can shoot it’s mask off if it goes down, I say if enough damage is done you can shoot it’s mask off causing the vision to be completely red while the humans are blue, I know it has to be fair but also not, since it’s 4 on 1 then you would think it has to be in favor of predator but if the predator is too powerful then it doesn’t work, it’s hard to describe, maybe more wildlife that can hurt the players, big cats, or maybe snakes, with the net gun maybe it does damage over time, the invisibility needs to be tuned up like how it was in the alien vs predator game, lastly maybe have injuries be somewhat permanent, let’s say the predator throws the disk at you, maybe you constantly lose health then from blood loss, it’s not much but noticeable, idk
Perfect showcase of a main game mechanic that most player in the trial didn’t understand. You video should be posted in every forum to show them how effective the cloak is. The game also tells you in the tutorial but I guess no one played that.
I love this map too Cartoonz, got my quickest predator win on this map. You must be flush with all the upgrades you left all that veritanium on the map. Loving the vids
They need to make a open world predator start out as a young blood predator and go to different planets to hunt till you become a elite or elder predator.
Toonzie, there is a small bar above the mini map, between the health and energy. That's your stamina. It gets used for running and jumping (And some for fighting)
You should really consider turning your thermal off when you are chasing someone or fighting someone it wastes energy and it makes it harder to see those things that get you stuck
That last group not only used the full team of grenadiers strategy, but also when that failed, they tried to exploit a bug to kill you, and they still failed! Hah!
The R1 jump won’t work because you have an insufficient amount of stamina. It requires a good bit of stamina to use. Your stamina bar is in the bottom middle of your screen between your health bar and energy bar
In the middle of the screen is a bar over the map. Thats a Stamina bar. And you need Stamina to Jump. If you sprint it depletes, thats why you cant jump sometimes. Love your vids toonzi
Toonz,after the game comes out you can do this,with both factions there are dialogue options hold on on the d-pad (arrows if you dont know it) and as predator the roar option let's you roar,idk if you knew this if you didnt I hope I helped :D
I just realised something. Predator, is literally the original Sam Fisher with Snake('s) cloaking device. Except, he makes chattering sounds which gives away his position. Unfortunately, The Predator can't resist the need to cause collateral damage afterwards. Nice gameplay, fun game.
Idk if the chattering ever "reveals his position", it reveals his presence sure but the marines figure out that they're being hunted by something pretty quick. The chattering just confirms it

What If, He tried out for the training, he came up with the chattering noise. His chief digressed that his technique won't work. Four decades later. War breaks out on his planet. Most of his people were eliminated. His friend and Chief learned to adapt his technique. The Chief gave them his ship and made predator, General. They suggested, chief to escape with them. He declined and told them to find a planet for them to conquer. He must stay behind to protect his planet.
I really enjoy these videos. Interesting watching other people doing their take on the Predator gameplay and I have to say that you are really great at it
That’s the difference in roles the predator has to be stealth to deal with their weapons while they have more firepower and objectives to complete so they have no reason to post up in an area
They need to out in the assassination skill if you're enemys back is towards you or you can pull them into the trees. Those were features in the AVP game from 2010

Hey toonzy they are fixing the preddy boys footsteps also the reason you can’t jump is because you have a stamina bar above your minimap and it decreases when you run or jump but not when your on trees I don’t think
Have to say while I keep seeing people say that the Predator is under powered you make him seem just fine Cartoonz. Can't wait till the game comes out.
