In this mode you obviously have to communicate a lot with your clan. But this also requires better in-game chat. Not everyone wants to use discord or others. The mode also costs additional time.

Missed the main point we all wanna know, rewards?

The real problem is that it would be great if you couldnt buy the currencies, but knowing plarium you will absolutely be able to buy the currencies.

If they aren't going to start adding some serious QOL upgrades to shorten how much time you have to spend on the game, this makes Raid way too cumbersome. There's already enough to do every day without slamming this on top of the pile.

It's such a "Plarium" thing to do that creates this whole new mode without creating an actual working clan communication interface. Though, I suppose adding a functional chat and community system within the clan system wouldn't get them any cash, so they don't really care. Typical Plarium sticking to their motto: "Better than nothing, but not by much!". We already spend a crazy amount of time in the game, it's crazy that they'd do this without adding some QOL stuff for all the existing time-sinks. Neat idea, but as usual, they can't get out of their own way.

I disagree with his last statement of "Clan structure and conversation is not a bad thing" Because honestly without a functional in-system communication (clan chat) it's an awful thing. Every clan worth anything has to use an external program (discord) to coordinate stuff, it's laughable that they would implement this without at least adding a basic structure for players to use within the game. HH doesn't see this, which I understand why, but just an example of why most players and clans won't mess with this mode unfortunately.

Listening to this guy explain Siege...it felt like a parody of some airline explaining their ticketing tier system: "Buy standard economy fair for our loyalty members, or upgrade to loyalty+ to get preference seating. Our AAA loyalty members get free baggage check but you can pay to skip the line entirely and get a free bag of nuts. AAA+ members can choose their seats before AAA members unless our AAA++ passengers have already chosen those seats, but if you upgrade to Mileage-Millionaire status you get all the peanuts you can eat and a free foot massage with extra leg room....blah blah blah."

Nope.... I am letting my clan know that we are not getting involved in this feature. It's WAAAAAY too complex for a casual type clan. There already isn't enough time in the game, now I need to start collecting new resources to build and repair Seige buildings between battles|? Yeah.... no thanks.

It will take more time than I am willing to put in this game

I have a lot of TIME questions. How long does this game mode last until reset? 24 hrs, 48 hrs, 72 hours, a week? How much time do you have to rebuild defenses between battles? How much time does it take to gather resources? Would it be wise to alternate clan activities so they don't all coalesce at similar times? Or is it going to be CvC, Hydra challenge, and Clan siege all at once? How will clans be matched? How good are the rewards? 1 three star chicken, 3 blue potions, and 4 star artifact? Or something more different and fulfilling?

Where will I find the time?

I think this is too complex for the majority of players. Atop of that it's another time sink. I am not per se against the new mode, but when do we play it? My day is full, I am already playing too much Raid. We need instant doom tower completions and other QOL if they want the casual player to engage with this new game mode.

Seems like Classic Arena offense, plus Tag Arena defense, wrapped in a base building game, with a sprinkle of secret room restrictions on top. Im sure this will be as fair and balanced as Hydra Clash.

No, absolute no for me, Plarium needs to fix what they already have, this is just going to take more time. I get that new features and stuff are made to keep and bring more people in but I fear that they are just going to drive people away, I for one don’t want any part of it, as for others that are excited for it I’m glad and I hope you enjoy it.

This sounds more and more like another playground for whales, which is a damning indictment for those who are not whales, those who are not in a clan filled with whales, those who are not geniuses and those who have lives and can't spend many hours a day on this.... "game". Side note: It still boggles my mind how people can be so optimistic EVERY TIME a video for new content drops when 9 times out of 10, the content is arse and needs fixing. Look at tag arena. It's still shite

This can potentially be the end of Raid. Less competitive clans will crush internally, not everyone plays the game with the same dedication and I bet that a lot of attrition between clan memebers will rise, even more than CVC or Hydra clashes...

Definitely looking forward to that "time spent in game" video - It's to the point where I have to think that reduced energy requirements (Iron Twins keys-only, dungeons reduced or even cut in half) and Clan Boss auto battle (regardless of whether or not you've one-keyed the maximum chest for the difficulty) need to be implemented.

I posted this to Raid on their FB page! Raid, you need to do more to help with Quality of Life, there's not enough time to do everything you're asking us to do. One thing you should do is give us an x10 speed boost for all dungeons, towers, clan boss, hydra, doom tower, cursed city, faction wars, and campaigns. You should be able to choose x1, x2, and x10, there is no reason not to allow us that!

I think my biggest concern is you have use resources (mana thingies etc) to repair. If your first Clan Clash is against an absolute whale of a clan. Aren't you gonna spend all your resources repairing your fortress, rather than buying bonuses to boost your next clash? Can see an issue of a downward spiral where all your doing is repairing constantly while other clans boost their stronghold from early wins.

Just waiting patiently for Fateless...please make me forget this game.

We had a good Clan with 30 active members about 2-3 years back...than 'Content' like CvC, Hydra Clash, Live arena and Soul system was introduced to Raid while big problems like 3vs3, time needed, communication and GUI were seldomly addressed, most often ignored. Nowadays, we are happy if 10 players take part in Hydra or CvC...we never enforced it as we see the game as a leisure time activity, not a job. This content will hopefully not lead to more playrs leaving...but I guess that will not be because the content is good, but because the remaining players are comfortable with a casual gamestyle. But adding content like this will sooner or later leading to us not being able to do the useful clan stuff (CB) anymore...it will more likely make people think about whether they stil want to play or search for another activity with does not force you to bew active 4-7 hours each day...

I did not start playing RAID to make friends or interact with other players. If my clan decides to organize for this, it will have to be without my participation. In fact, it could be why I stop playing and find another game, which would make me sad that I invested 17 months of my life developing my champions. 😢

Its a easy pass, don't care for pvp, and knowing how they do arena live not worth time and headache. They whales will destroy everyone.

this is a whole new game and actually really well thought out. I wish i like pvp more. It's a huge time sink but sounds like they did a very decent first pass. but that his extra huge time sink for clan leader. Who will want all that extra work?

This kind of system will require more communication within the clan. Can you tell Plarium to improve the clan communication system? Like making the chat room much better and maybe adding an in-game forum for each clan?

Clans are already too elitist. I get kicked every cvc if i dont have dozens of books and shards to blow. Or tens of thousands of energy. Now ill probably never be allowed to do clan boss again

I like that they really thought about it and put a lot of effort in it, bit it's basically another hour that i have to spend in this game now to get my stuff done.

Just realized; this game mode in StarWars GoH “Territory Wars” was the reason I quit that game to come to Raid. Well, we’ll see. Not excited.

I assume this was supposed to have been a part of the "year of pvp" they were talking about last year? It sounds fun for people in full active clans where the clan members are all highly communicative and always playing. This will be a non-factor for casual players and clans, and probably means no more rewards, too, right?

I think you found the answer to the fusion...guaranteed there will be a tower that only allows the Pack Master and dogs. XD

Only the top clans will benefit from this and you being in a top clan you always see good the lower clans it's ridiculous

I just watched the teaser vid for Siege, and this may be it for me. I am the clan leader for a top 250 clan, and we are competitive in Hydra Clash & CVC. I honestly cannot handle another big time sink in this game, and I may just call it quits entirely if they don't fix the time issue immediately.

I think they need to really work on clan chat to help this along, but it does seem like a great game mode.

The flaw I'm most concerned with is the matchmaking. The current CvC looks at a win/loss ratio and doesn't take total clan power into consideration. For the past 3 CvCs my clan has fought clans with 3 to 5 times our clans total power. If they could matchmake clans that are within 30% of each other's total clan power this new CvC might actually be fun to participate in.

I love the thoughtfulness the put into this update and it looks really fun. But I already struggle to keep up with the game as is. Not sure how I'd find time to play this new feature, let alone strategize outside the game to the depth required to be competitive. TBD for me.

This is a nice future! But can be overwelming for some of us. Like hidra clash and CVC deped who you are faceing . I'am so curious how oponents will be choosen. It will require a clan channel where to do the strategies, in game clan chat will not be enough.

On the surface this looks great but to a mssive part of players a easy pass, timezones gonna be a killer here. I am in 2 clans lucky if 3 messages a day disord full of tumbleweed so for me oh well something else like live arena/ mystical champs 3 accounts 160 primals and zero champs. I must say it does look like a game in itself, but people always looking to reduce game time per day this not for most people just my 2 cents.

I find it so sad, how much time we spend in this game, but how little we interact with each other. I played for 3 months before I even started using clan chat, and even then I use it more than others just to try to get people to talk to each other, but it's not much. Maybe 20-50 lines of text in a typical day. If we had more socializing, reason to communicate and a better interface for doing so, we would form stronger bonds, and enjoy our time in this game much more, making us want to play more, be more invested as we make stronger friendships. This is one of the strongest draws / hooks in most MMO games honestly. It would definitely increase player retention and time spent in the game, as well as player enjoyment.

Outside of the whale contest; this still has disaster written all over it; It's the same problem as Classic Arena; the attacker will always have the advantage. Even if you add in conditions and special bonuses; the attacker still has the advantage because they can see your defense, and the conditions and strategize a better offense. Even if you were to "normalize" champions involved; empowerments don't apply etc etc, you still have to contend with the sheer amount of advantage higher level players have over lower level players. Even then, a player who's been 100 for a few years vs a fresh 100 isn't even close to the same sort of match up. This detriments the clan system more than it helps it. Why would I want to invite level 50-60 players, in the early-mid game, to my clan to participate in this and just get stomped by higher level clans? Unless there is a matchmaking system that basically eliminates the ability for anyone to be "outplaytimed" or "out whaled", this system "feature" is about to cause real, lasting damage to the game.

I hope they make clan chat make more sense.

What do you guys think about some kind of cooperative mode? This is still just another "place your champions in a roster, and someone comes along to fight them, with flavors of arena" , and live arena is versus. What if there was oh, say a 2 + 2 boss, or wave survival with 2 different players able to use 2 champs each. One could be focused on dmg, the other support, or some variation. Would be nice if clan focused, so we team up during certain times of the day, kind of like queeing for live arena, and then we can take on whatever the content is. It would encourage stronger communication and cooperation within the clans, especially motivating players to share strategies. They could even release champions focused around this type of mode, with special abilities when used on another teammate, or something. Increase champion chasing, and player retention.

some years ago i was playing "loony tunes meyhem" which had exactly the same siege style. finally plarium copied something that works. their siege was taking minimum of 7 days. this is going to be amazing guys. and i am talking as an f2p player.

I'm cautiously - very cautiously - optimistic. Seems like fun could be had... But I wonder how the social aspect will work, the level of coordination required and how punishing it would feel to be part of a chill clan... I'm not exactly in love with talking to randos on the internet, and I have exactly 1 friend who plays this game.

I'm excited for the new content! It will be interesting for sure, at least at first. But, I am starting to wonder if this won't just be "more arena" basically, as they are arena pvp battles, with an extra layer of strategy required. After watching your "Is it too much?" time requirements getting too much video, I hope it doesn't just become arena with more time requirements at the end of the day.

Kraken fest 9.0. This is Sintranos for PvP, way too much going on here combined with way too much needed coordination. Can't wait for this to destroy clans and of course it's built around the worst parts of Raid, PvP.

I need to know how long this siege will take, cause it seems it may be a long period of time between sieges. All because of the follow up question: If I switch clans how long will it take me to be able to participate in the next siege? Cause if it's month between sieges I might consider changing clans now, if it's like week/two weeks I might try to see what happens with the current clan.

I hope our clan leader says no to this content, looks complicated and kinda boring like LA...

this is good for RU-vidrs who cover the game for their career. regular players dont have time for this. I already hate it

looks pretty complex with potential to be fun, time will tell... one major thing i hope for is that those area bonuses/restrictions which we will purchase with the new currency can be refunded to change over to a different choice in the next siege, if the first selection turns out to be extremely weak or maybe even a mistake that surprisingly appears to help enemy teams more than it helps ourselves. my clan has significant turnover with players leaving and new players joining every week... it's easy to imagine a selection that may have helped out tremendously a month ago may not make as much sense anymore after a few key players left and have been replaced by other players with different champions/teams who stand to benefit more from a different bonus.

I think it's an amazingly intricate addition to the game. The only negative I can see with it is the established whale guilds will absolutely destroy anyone else. As a non whale player I think I won't enjoy this new layer of the game but I know I won't let it stop my enjoyment of the game just like I didn't let live arena (which I have only played a tiny bit when it was introduced and never since) effect my enjoyment of the game

The complexity isn't the problem...the problem is that this is just another pay-to-win PvP dumpster fire. PvP in this game is absolute garbage.

I think it's a whole entire new game, inside of this game. This could take all the time u have in a day to play the game just in this part of the game and get nothing else done. Qwite complex indeed. I think it's kool but I think the time required for this mode is gonna be intense. There's just alot if things on everyone's plate already that they need to accomplish everyday in this game. They did not have to make it so complex and time consuming. When u log into this game, now ur gonna have to decide, am I playing Raid today, or am I playing Seige clan wars today. Lol

The biggest problem is that the clan leaders can’t move teams around. We have members in our team who don’t join the clan chat and there is no way to direct message them. These players have already filled low level strength teams in the stronghold

As others have said they need to improve the communication tools in game. However if you're in a clan with good communication and engagement on this then this could be a great feature. It just needs to make sure the match making puts those sorts of clans against each other. If its just another thing where clans game the system to get an easy match it will be a massive bust.

If this is all basically pvp then this will be like tag team arena multiplied by 20.

this is just a mix of arena and cursed city. so it is just a whale fest. newer players wont be able to fill up half of these posts due to lack of champs and gear

Its not much of an overhaul of the clan system 1:01, 'just' adding more / a new feature :). Seige is interesting though, but a bit conserned about the ressources and health of clans.

Its too complex and I hope it doesn't take time outside setup and then the clan leader will make decisions

We still need a method to test Defenses of your arena teams. I wish I could attack my own defense, and would enjoy allowing my clan to attack me and give feedback

I already can't get all the daily things done that I need to do in game. Unless the rewards are amazing, this is just another busy-work time sink. There's a 99% chance that there's going to be a pay to win element. New content is great, QOL improvements would be better. There is no such thing as clan communication in RSL.

My biggest fear is if they start selling the resources needed to compete. If that happens it is game over for this part of the game.

This would be great if we could have better ingame comms and also Plarium make sure that the upgrade mats are not for sale.

A glorified arena mode with extra steps sounds like a great idea when the worst thing about your game is it’s 3 existing pvp modes which you have just completely thrown to the side as a developer. Didn’t they promise us a 3v3 rework a year ago?

The biggest issue is time.. If this Sieges consume time, we need one click completion on Doom tower, Factions wars, dungeons and Hydra.

Look really fun...but this is raid....only krakens will get to have fun...and maybe a few veteran lifeless grinders
